Chapter 9 - I won't forget

Both Sophia and Ravi swiftly arrived at the reception. The receptionist, who saw the scene in front of her, was shocked, but as a professional, she maintained her expression and politely greeted them.

"Welcome to the entrance form submission for the human superhuman warriors."

The receptionist, a girl in her late twenties, greeted them with a polite smile.

She knew that Sophia was strong and would become a domineering figure in the future, so being respectful to a junior wasn't too much for her.

"Human warriors?" Sophia asked, confused.

"Yes, miss. This is the place where the human warriors fill up their entrance form, and we do not accept forms from other races to avoid any conflict during the entrance," the receptionist answered.

While Ravi was indifferent toward all this, Sophia had an internal conflict inside her.

'They have different places for different races? That means Brian didn't know?'

Different races meant the races that have distinct features from humans, such as dragons, demons, phoenixes, and such.

After gaining powers many years ago, some people changed into other races. Some grew a tail, others had horns on their heads, and some grew wings to fly.

These people were considered different from humans and were thought to be part of the alien races. There was constant conflict at first, but now it was almost settled, well, almost. But there were still people who fought because of that.

Sophia looked at Ravi for a moment and thought,

'Will he hate me because of that?'

But she quickly discarded that thought and folded herself inwardly,

'If I don't reveal it, then no one will know.'

She then turned to the receptionist and spoke, "Yes, we both belong to the human race. Could we have our form filled out?"

The receptionist smiled and asked for their details.

"Name: Sophia, age: 17 years, and my superpower is fire." Sophia gave her details.

Then the receptionist turned toward Ravi, but he didn't say a word. Sophia replied in his stead.

"Name: Ravi, age: 17 years, and his superpower is..."

Sophia stopped for a moment, then a realization hit her.

'He didn't have those seven-colored eyes nor the barrier he was using. So how can we use those? Did that come with his original powers?'

Seeing Sophia taking longer to speak, the receptionist asked again, "Miss, what power is it?"

Sophia was pulled out of her monologue when the receptionist asked her. She then looked at Ravi and replied.

"His power is regeneration."

"Regeneration?" The receptionist asked.

It wasn't a great power to have for an attack, so she thought she might have misheard and asked to clarify it.

"Yes," Sophia replied softly, and there was a blush on her cheeks.

The receptionist, who saw her blushing face, was infatuated with it. Sophia looked just like a divine being to her. She looked like someone far out of her reach, and just talking to her was a moment the receptionist thought she didn't deserve.

'How can a goddess like her be with someone like him?' the receptionist thought while looking at Ravi.

Ravi now looked nothing but ordinary, or even less than that. He was covered from top to bottom and hadn't spoken a word, even when people were mocking him. Add that to having regeneration, which didn't have any strength or attack capacity, and the receptionist thought very little of him.

But she didn't say anything and registered them both as it was her job to do.

After being registered, the receptionist handed them two badges with numbers on one side and a timer on the other.

"This badge will teleport you both to your entrance when the time comes to zero."

Taking the badges, they both left the venue, ignoring the peculiar gazes that were shot toward them.

Some of the gazes were from people who had just woken up, filled with fear, while others were of admiration for their strength.

In the middle of all that, a particular gaze was fixed on them, specifically on the black-haired boy with the blindfold.

'It's him.'

Ravi and Sophia arrived at a marketplace as they had more than 22 hours left before they were teleported for the entrance.

Seeing that they still had almost a day left, Sophia suggested, "Let's go and have some breakfast."

They both searched for nearby restaurants but couldn't find any, as it was filled with people coming for the entrance sign-up for the 'Pis Aller' academy. So, they searched a bit more.

Ravi and Sophia were strolling through the streets, and Sophia couldn't help but take a few glances at Ravi. Every time she did, there was a blush on her face.

'Does he remember? But I won't forget that moment for the rest of my life.'

Sophia smiled while remembering a certain moment from the past that she would never forget and was forever etched into her memories.

Shortly after, they arrived at a restaurant that had a few tables empty and took one of the tables.

The town of 'Barsana' wasn't much developed in infrastructure because it hadn't existed before but was created using superpowers in a short period. So, it didn't have any high-class facilities.

Sophia and Ravi ordered two cups of coffee and two pastries for Sophia.

Their order quickly arrived, and they had their fill. Ravi only drank coffee, while Sophia ate the pastries like a child and blushed as she looked at Ravi.

Although Ravi still had the blindfold on, Sophia could perceive his gaze and knew he was looking at her. But she didn't mind it that much and drank her coffee.

After they finished their breakfast, they paid the bill and left the restaurant.

"We have time, so let's visit the town for a bit," Sophia said, and Ravi just nodded his head.

Then they went to visit different places in the town.

Sophia enjoyed every moment she spent with Ravi, but then a thought hit her.

'Where will we stay at night?'
