Chereads / Vampire Secret Agreement / Chapter 2 - Three Vampire Downstairs

Chapter 2 - Three Vampire Downstairs

Odel's eyes widened with a gasp as she woke up from her sleep as if she had a bad dream. The girl woke up again in the morning in the same place as what had just been in her dream. She was in a room the same as her dream, a strange place that was scary even in the daytime.

"What's this? Where am I? Is all this a dream?" Odel muttered in confusion.

There was a knock on the bedroom door from outside, and Odel immediately pulled the blanket. She was afraid that the man named Baron existed in the real world and said she was bound by a pact with a vampire.

"Excuse me, Miss, I want to deliver food," said a woman who immediately opened the door to her room.

A young woman in maid attire walked in, her face cheerful, far from intimidating.

"Good morning, are you already woken up? Gosh! This room is still very dark. You have to open the window so that all the sunlight can enter your room, Miss Odel," said the woman, who, after putting away the food trolley, immediately quickly opened the curtains in the room.

"Who are you? Where am I?" asked Odel.

"Ah, I'm sorry. My name is Samantha, I will serve you, Miss. "You are in Edelaine City," explained the girl to Odel.

Odel immediately got up from her bed, she looked out the window, and she saw a large plantation with lots of livestock there. The workers also seemed busy plowing the fields and some looking after their livestock.

"What's wrong, Miss?" Samantha asked.

"Where is Mr Baron?" Odel asked.

"Lord Baron? Do you mean the lawyer who dealt with your inheritance?" asked Samantha.

"Yes, he is!"

"He doesn't live here."

"So? What about my fate?" asked Odel.

"Don't worry, there are many relatives who will help you here," answered Samantha.

"Relatives? Does that mean I still have a family?" asked Odel.

"Nope, they are not your family. "But they are quite close relatives to your grandmother, they will accompany you here, so don't worry," replied Samantha.

"Can I meet them?" asked Odel.

"Of course, they are in the dining room."

"I'm going down!" said Odel hastily.

"Wait, Miss!"

"What is it? Can't I just eat downstairs?" asked Odel.

"Of course you can, but look at you. I think you need to go to the bathroom and change your clothes, there are lots of clothes prepared for you in the wardrobe," said Samantha, pointing to the large white cupboard with classic carvings in the corner of the room.

Odel stared at herself, she walked towards the mirror and saw that her hair was messy, and she needed to prepare herself.

"Gosh, you're right! "I have to shower to greet the new family," answered Odel.

"Yes, Miss. I'll be waiting for you in the dining room, the place downstairs. We will wait so calmly."

"Yes, thank you."

Samantha lowered her head and left the room. Odel started to pinch her cheeks, she felt that everything she was seeing right now was very unreal, she was an orphan girl, but now in an instant, she could live in such a big house and have a personal servant.

"Why do I feel dazed? Gosh, my head is still dizzy!" she grumbled.

Odel started walking to the bathroom. The place was so beautiful with classic touches decorating the bathroom walls. There were many perfumes and toiletries that she never even used at the orphanage.

"Wow, my grandmother is quite rich. But, why hasn't she been looking for me all this time? Why did she call me after she died? Doesn't she want to see me?" Odel grumbled while taking a shower.

The freshwater wet her skin, she rinsed her body while starting to think. For some reason, it felt like meeting the Baron in her dream felt very real. But slowly she began to forget a little of the details about her dream, she just felt like she had just dreamed about something terrible.

Odel immediately finished her shower, she rushed towards the wardrobe at the end of the room. She did bring clothes from the orphanage, but she was curious about the clothes her new family had provided.

"Wow," an amazed word escaped her pink lips.

A wardrobe full of beautiful dresses. The long dresses were like dresses for a dancer, a princess or a noble ready to wear, with a classic style. That dress was very different from all the clothes she had worn at the orphanage.

"Beautiful clothes, but can these clothes be worn every day? It seems very uncomfortable," Odel muttered in astonishment.

Odel took the simplest dress, a dress with a simple ribbon and bluish-white. The V-neckline is quite deep at the back and is decorated with a ribbon which makes the back and neck area quite open.

"The ribbon is hard for me to reach!" Odel muttered.

She looked in the mirror, she looked like a noble princess wearing that dress. It's just that the ribbon on her back requires someone else's help.

"Ah, never mind, I'll ask Samantha for help later."

Odel left the ribbon on her back open, she combed her long reddish hair and spread it to cover her exposed back. This beautiful girl with clean white skin looks perfect even without makeup.

Her lips are pink, her eyes are greenish-gray and her neat eyebrows make her so beautiful.

"I'm ready," Odel muttered.

She opened the door to her room, her beautiful eyes widened when she saw a long corridor with many rooms in a very large house. The house was very big, so big the corridors had many doors, the rooms looked dim. Only the room looks bright.

"I didn't expect this house to be so big!"

Odel started walking down the corridor. With bare feet, she could feel that the carpet in the house was very soft. The corridor had three bedroom doors, from the doors of which it could be seen that the room inside was much bigger than the room she was using. After passing the three rooms, she saw an open room with a circular staircase, and she realized that she was currently on the top floor of the house.

Odel began to swallow hard, she saw a ladder with a beautiful golden handle. The luxurious chandelier was made of crystal with a dim yellow light that made the middle room look warmer than the corridor she had just passed.

"Samantha, can you hear me? Where is the dining room?" calls Odel.

Silent, the place had no sound.

The situation was very different from the crowd outside the house. From what she had seen, outside the house there were many busy workers. But inside the house, it was cold, dim, luxurious but very quiet.

Odel started walking down the stairs, her footsteps were slow, and she lifted her long skirt slightly.

"Samantha! Are you there? Samantha!" calls Odel again.

She kept calling because she felt that the place was quite scary. Compared to the atmosphere of a house, the place had an aura similar to a cemetery. Odel, who felt afraid, started to speed up her steps. She went downstairs in a hurry and kept calling Samantha. She felt sure that the servant girl was on the bottom floor. She remembered that Samantha said she had prepared food downstairs.

Odel, who was speeding up her steps on the stairs, was startled when a figure in black stood at the edge of the stairs. Earlier, she didn't see the figure. Odel was shocked and became agitated when something moved in the dark. Her legs were tucked into the fabric of her long dress. The girl fell downwards. She was sure she would be seriously injured this time. All because she was on a fairly high and rotating ladder.

But none of that happened, a pair of strong hands caught her, and the figure in the black shirt was apparently a young man who swiftly held her body.

"Watch out! Why are you so careless? You could get seriously injured if you fall!" said the man as he helped Odel stand up again.

Odel was amazed, she was amazed at what she saw now. A handsome man with a straight body, broad chest, and tall was in front of her. His hair is very dark black, his skin is pale white, and he has a firm jaw and a charming, sharp nose. The most interesting thing was his eyes. They looked reddish brown and in the dim light, Odel could still see that those eyes were very beautiful.

"What's wrong with you? Are you okay?" he asked.

Odel was speechless, she just nodded as if she couldn't even say thank you.

"You just stay here? Don't you want breakfast?" asked the man.

"Ah, yes. "I want to go downstairs, I'm looking for Samantha," answered Odel, who finally came to her senses after being enchanted by the figure of the man in front of her.

"That's great! But,"

"But what?" asked Odel.

"Did you leave your clothes open on purpose?" the man asked, looking at Odel's dress, which because of tripping had caused the V-neck to slide further down and reveal her cleavage.

"Good grief!" Odel immediately pulled her collar up and covered her chest.

"So you plan to cover it up? What a shame! It was so beautiful!" said the man, deliberately teasing Odel and walking downstairs.

"You pervert! How can you speak so impolitely!" cursed Odel, embarrassed and angry.

"It turns out you can scream too. Unfortunately, you can't say thank you to your helper!" the man answered as if checkmated.

Odel realized that the flirtatious man had just helped her and she hadn't said thank you. But his impolite attitude made Odel lazy to respond. She pulled the ribbon behind her back. Lifted her skirt high and began to speed up her footsteps. Odel walked with a groan and went ahead of the man.

"Get out of my way! "I don't need your help," said Odel.

The man was silent, he stepped aside and let the angry Odel lead him down the stairs. His sharp eyes began to observe something, there was a smile on the corners of his lips and he started to giggle.

Even though the laugh was low, Odel could hear it. The girl knew that the man she had just passed was indeed laughing at her. Her heart was getting more and more angry, and fortunately, when she was on the first floor, she could see Samantha there.

"Samantha! "I just called you," complained Odel.

"I'm sorry, Miss. I was in the kitchen and didn't hear you. "Please sit in the dining room, your relatives are already there, and you can start getting to know each other," replied Samantha, who immediately walked away.

"Wait a minute, I want to help tie my dress!" calls Odel.

"Yes Miss, I'll be back in a moment. I'm cooking something, I'm afraid it will burn," answered Odel, who ignored her and went back to the kitchen.

Odel stared silently at Samantha's retreating. She was starting to regret wearing such a unique dress and needed someone else to help her wear it.

"She's busy! "I can help you," said the man from earlier and immediately pulled the ribbon on Odel's back.

"Good grief! What are you doing?" Odel said.

"Put away your long hair, I'm just helping you tie your clothes!" said the man.

"No need, I can do it myself! Don't touch me, you pervert!"

"I won't do anything! I'm just helping you!"

"I don't need it!" Odel argued.

"Are you sure? Don't you know that in the dining room, there are two other men the same age as me? Do you want to show off?" said the annoying man, looking at Odel with a dismissive smile.

"Two men? Quickly help me! Tie tight!" Odel replied, giving her back.

"You are indeed troublesome!"

Odel put her hair aside and let the foreign man tie the ribbon at her dress. The annoying man deftly tied the ribbon on Odel's dress correctly. This time Odel felt that her dress was worn correctly. However, after finishing tying the ribbon on her dress, the man started whispering right in Odel's ear.

"Beautiful neck, I love the scent too! Can I take a little bite?" whispered the man.

"You! Go away! Pervert!" said Odel, who immediately wanted to slap him.

Somehow, the man who had been very close to her ear suddenly dodged and was about one meter away without even taking a step. The man grinned and walked with his long legs, leaving Odel, who looked annoyed.

"Watch it! You pervert!" Odel cursed.

As if he didn't hear Odel's curse, the man continued walking towards the dining room. Odel snorted, but he also followed the annoying man towards the dining room, which turned out to be very large.

A long table with many dishes was there, but what made Odel surprised was the two men there. Both of them were very handsome, and they spontaneously looked at Odel and stood up to greet her.

"Wellcome, Miss Odel!" said the man with blonde hair and a white shirt.

"Nice to see you here," said another man with brown hair.

Odel smiled back, she stood still because she felt awkward when two men she didn't know greeted her.

"What's wrong again? Are you feeling shy now?" said the man in black who was teasing her earlier.

"Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen! You've all gathered now, it's nice that this house is getting busier," said a servant woman who entered the dining room with Samantha.

The servant woman immediately arranged the food, and after everything was arranged she started talking.

"Nice to see you, Miss Odel. Let me introduce myself. I am Irene, the head chef of this house. "I hope you don't hesitate and consider this house your own home," said the woman.

Odel nodded, but the girl still stood because she was confused about where to sit. The two men who greeted her earlier sat quite far apart, while on the opposite side, all the seats were empty.

"Does your butt hurt? Can't you sit? Just sit down!" said the man in black who was standing right behind Odel and pulled out a chair for her.

"Mr Clayton, watch your words. That's very rude!" said Irene.

"Okay! "I just feel annoyed with this girl, it's like she can't do anything, but it's okay, I can help her," replied Clayton, who immediately winked.

Odel looked at the man named Clayton cynically, but from his rough mouth, the man had indeed helped her a lot earlier. Odel shifted the chair that Clayton had pulled, and she sat about two meters away from him. Still wearing a face of rejection, Odel looked back at Irene.

"I'm sorry for his behavior, Miss Odel. "He's stubborn," said Irene.

"It's okay," answered Odel.

"Don't mind him, Miss Odel. You can sit next to me if you're not comfortable around him. "I'm Daffin, I hope we can get closer," said the blonde man.

"Closer? That's how you get to know a woman when you first meet? Your language is so stale!" said the brown-haired man.

"Are you cool, Emilio? "She didn't even look at you," Daffin scoffed.

"God damn it! You underestimate me! You think you're handsome, huh!" said Emilio, who was even emotional.

"Do you guys want to fight!? Hurry up, I want to watch it!" said Clayton, who seemed to be up his other colleagues even more.

"Silent, please! Don't be like that in front of guests!" Irene shouted in a loud voice and suddenly they became silent.

Odel started, she saw Irene and was quite shocked by the incident she had just seen.

"I'm sorry, Miss Odel! "My three masters are very childish, but they are all special men, so you don't need to worry about being their fiancé," said Irene.

As if she had heard wrongly, Odel furrowed her brows. Looking at Irene with a face full of questions.

"Just a moment, Mrs. Irene. What did you just say? Fiancé? Who's engaged?" Odel asked, confused.

"So you don't know yet? Your grandmother agreed to marry you to the granddaughter of the noble Doyle. Coincidentally at this time, the Doyle descendants had three grandchildren. They are Clay, Daffin, and Emilio. All of them are your fiancés, Miss!" explained Irene.

"What? I've never heard of that! Engagement, with three men! That's not possible! So I have to choose one?" Odel replied, increasingly confused.

"Exactly right! Maybe it will be quite difficult for you, because, as you know, they are all handsome men. But you still have to choose and marry only one!" Irene answered.
