Chapter 29 - Last Stand Of The Hair Magician

A trembling surprise came upon Viscable as his sight heavily caught the sighting of the pinkish twister emerging in front of him, convincing him to clench his knuckles. He gasped in complete shock especially when the twister initiated its last spin, unfolding the physical presence of his foe

More specifically, Prila resurfaced in the battleground as both her legs and arms were still missing on the spot. She also had her twin tail hairs reduced into two lines on each side. Boiling bruises and scars mostly covered her face, similar to a person who received a burning injury.

A line of blood dripped on her eyes, darting an adamant look at Viscable and showing half of her cloth was torn apart and exposing her burnt skin. Severe injuries and loss of her motion limbs failed to falter her fighting spirit as she consistently glanced at her opponent who could only grunt in deep frustration.

"No wonder…Parallel Freedom doesn't vanish, you barely escape….The Ace Duelist's attack!!" Viscable guessed, heaving his knuckles and exhaling a mangling breath as The Hair Magician joyfully grinned.

Prila giggled and uttered sluggishly, "Oh…you didn't expect this. I guess…I'll be the first opponent you…will never forget."

"Gdark if you…not a complicated and prideful asshole, I bet…you already married me when you…returned from the ten years journey," Prila taunted, funneling the glittering pinkish beam of lights through her eyes.

"If you…didn't truly love me, why would…you even bother to spend your spare time training," The Hair Magician added, puking out a couple of blood and enlightening the brightness of the light within her eyes.

"I wanted you to realize it, marrying me right now is a better choice than you overcomplicated desire to become the best, Gdark!!" Prila made a persuasion attempt again toward her opponent who hushedly groaned.

Viscable puffed and replied bluntly, "You better stop mentioning that, Trophy Girl."

"But…not in this universe," Viscable finished his sentence, frigidly gritting his teeth and shutting his eyes under the mask.

"Then….this will change your mind, Gdark," Prila replied with a bothersome tone, locking her sight that emanated the glistening beam and flew closer toward her foe who fell into her mercy.

"Go try…it then," Viscable provoked, clearing his throat and groaning. "Try…to satisfy your imagination that I am the man….you used to know 10 years ago."

Prila chortled, "Even…in desperation you still held your pride…like the most precious thing ever."

"Pride what…makes me alive…" Viscable unable to finish his sentence as he breath out the exhausted air. "Prila!!!"

"Finally you said my name," The Hair Magician said thankfully.

A blurry vision began to invade her sight as she channeled a glaring pinkish spark into her eyes, darting it toward Viscable who could only block his sight with his stammering left hand. Dizziness stung The Hair Magician's nerves, forcing her to command her hair to slide closer to her foe.

Even though The Hair Magician shakily held her body and almost fell into an unconscious state, she persisted in declaring her final attack. More surging vortexes and wild gales blew in the circle with her shimmering the spark in her eyes, exhaling a huge chunk of exhausted breath as she shivered and her nose dripped blood droplets.

Prila coughed and uttered, "Now….take this….GDARK!!!"

The Hair Magician forcibly pushed her hefty head downward and close enough to release the ray of the beam toward Viscable, but the hurtful side effect eventually trespassed her entire body. It started with her vision fading black and was followed by her vomiting a large chunk of blood.

The beam of light she gathered dispersed into scattering ashes fleeting to the air, returning her eyes that expressed exhaustion as if she broke the limit of her physical capability. Realization of the incoming beam fading out came to him, resting his blocking arm and centered his focus toward The Hair Magician.

His sight examined Prila who faintly dropped to the ground especially with her hair lying first, succumbing to the unconscious state. Thus, the victor of the fierce duel blessed into Viscable's favor as The Hair Magician couldn't give any sign of motion or even magical energy generating.

As the victor of the duel was confirmed, the arena and its surroundings instantaneously sprung a thousand particles fleeting to the center above. Viscable bowed his head after he glanced at the soaring particle that flew past him, forming a doubtful look the longer he pinned his sight on Prila.

"So technically…I still won this fierce fight," Viscable mumbled, rubbing the glowing ground below and sniggering.

"Which means….The Parallel Freedom is over now," Viscable added, scanning his surroundings, full of particles freely gliding.

He gazed at the blinding white wave erupting the entire sky arena and even spreading outside of the arena such as hindering the view of the statue. The blinding wave quickly sleeved the whole arena alongside Viscable's sight, marking the endpoint for Parallel Freedom's dimension.

Viscable and his unconscious opponent were finally transported back into the last place they were ready to engage the duel, Prila's room. Moreover, they reverted to the state before as Viscable maintained his Ace Duelist form and stood steadily, while Prila had her supposedly torn limbs back on her side. Bruises and wounds were no longer present in the two heroes' bodies, including their uniform that

The Ace Duelist swiftly marked his pondering gaze at Prila who still lying on the ground, remained unable to give any sign of movement. He took one step forward and gained a closer look at The Hair Magician, repeatedly breathing out the chilling air before expressing his disgruntled stare.

"Even though I'm the winner…I still felt a strong dissatisfaction," The Ace Duelist bickered. "I only won this match by luck."

Viscable clenched his knuckle and spoke, "If she hadn't succumbed to exhaustion, I could have lost since I don't have an effective counter anymore."

"At the same time…she was indeed a fill all the requirements for becoming the perfect trophy girl," Viscable professed, halfly grinning in enthrallment. "Simply our duel is the legible proof of it. What an impeccable performance."

"The effort of accompanying and helping you master your magic is not a waste," The Ace Duelist added, kneeling and chuckling.

Afterward, Viscable placed his palm beneath The Hair Magician, gently carrying her before he lifted his legs into a firm standing position. He peeked at the bed beside him and headed onto it, tenderly placing the slumbering Prila when The Ace Duelist reached the left side of the bed.

The Ace Duelist gripped the purple-furred bed sheet that he immediately pulled and seethed Prila's entire body, giving more warmth to her. Viscable curiously tilted his head, painting a gloomy stare on his face the longer he locked his watchful stare toward The Hair Magician. He winced in half hesitation, pushing his neck to the right briefly.

"Maybe you're partially right about me," The Ace Duelist exclaimed, clutching his chest which felt his heart speedily beating. "Some of my feelings tell me marrying you now is the best path for me."

"I only shared this with you," Viscable spoke, raising his clutching hand to the front of his face and grinning captivatedly. "I thought when I returned from the 10 years of training to propose a marriage to you,"

Viscable sheepishly giggled, "I'm very much aware you've been patiently waiting for my return. Even though I heard you've been dating a couple of men and women, I knew you would eventually choose me."

"Let me remind you again, I am the man who loves to challenge himself," The Ace Duelist remarked, extending his enthralled smirk. "Unfortunately my strong feeling toward you is part of an intriguing challenge whether I could keep hold of the urges or embrace it by giving my life goal."

Viscable raised his hands and continued, "A challenge for my mind and spirit as a human being who strived to break its limit"

"If I have to become the best, I must secure my desire first," The Ace Duelist added, waving his hand that he folded. "Claiming you as a trophy girl is much more worthy when I achieve my goal."

The Ace Duelist caressed Prila's cheek and confessed, "Thanks to your astonishing performance in our fight, I'm eager to initiate a brief training after this."

Viscable retrieved his caressing hand and rotated his direction to the door, covering his entire face with a rigid look. Dark flames revived again when they ignited on The Ace Duelist's beating heart, pointing his sight toward Prila shortly and shining the magenta gleams throughout his armor.

"Have an enjoyable rest, my trophy girl," The Ace Duelist pridefully spoke. "You are the true winner in this duel especially in term of endurance."

"But next time we have this kind of fight, I'm going to defeat you flawlessly," Viscable added, pointing his thumb at his chest and declaring a burst of laughter.

The Ace Duelist smirked and mentioned, "Precisely, I shall finish you with the next backpack."

He raised the pitch of the laughter as Viscable stepped into the door direction, disseminating the dark flames from shelving his heart. At the same time, the magenta gleam also instantly died out the closer The Ace Duelist approached the door, ending the gratified laugh with coughing.

Viscable clutched the doorknob and pressed, freeing the access outside of his defeated opponent's room, Walking out from the room didn't go well as The Ace Duelist encountered the Triumph Makers members patiently waiting for him such as Scrap Devil and Daigrun VII who set their heedful sights.

Even Mina Rodax and VWX who were already suited up arrived on the scene, locking their glaring sights on The Ace Duelist. Intimidation stares from all The Triumph Makers only baffled Viscable by him proudly crossing his arm, funneling out the magenta particles from his backpack.

"Seems you all see me as the next threat for the world, don't you, Triumph Makers?" The Ace Duelist guessed and taunted. "It must be because I forced your fellow team member to fight in my pocket dimension?"

Scrap Devil grunted and argued, "I'm afraid you did something bad when you trapped her in your pocket dimension."

"Even though I'm her ex, tell me what happened there exactly, you self-absorbed asshole!!" Scrap Devil demanded.

The Ace Duelist gestured his shrugging arms and assured, "We just had a simple sparing match."

"Right now, she has already return to her room and rest, so you all don't have to be worried about her," The Ace Duelist spoke calmly and continued. "Also thank you for allowing me to visit Stellaramid and meet with the rest of The Triumph Makers."

"I could say Earth is now in good hands with you all," Viscable added with a sarcastic tone, opening his enlivened lips.

"However, if you Triumph Makers still didn't trust me regarding Prila, I would be glad to test my capability on you all," The Ace Duelist provoked.

Mina Rodax, Scrap Devil, and VWX threw their bemused glares at each other and decided to sharpen their focus at The Ace Duelist, tilting their heads. As for Daigrun VII, he continued to give the visitor a vigilant expression as Viscable put his palm on the glassy shard, sliding his left foot.

"Layfree, do you believe what this asshole said?" Scrap Devil asked, boiling his mind in kindling indignation.

VWX sighed, "If he was just a simple rogue or rebellious hero, I would blast him without hesitation."

"Since this is Gdark, I believed what he said regarding Prila," The Laser Master clarified and insisted. "But, I suggest you to be more cautious with him. He could put any kind of surprise."

"For that, I agree we must be extra cautious" Scrap Devil agreed with his teammate's statement, wiping away any sense of rage by stretching his opened palms and pinning his sight to Daigrun VII.

"So let him slide, Daigrun," Scrap Devil suggested. "If I think about it again, he is just a thrilling-seeking freak like that Pendoswing monster."

Scrap Devil yawned. "Also I prefer we take a rest."

"If he is a true villain, he will have no hesitation in killing both VWX and Prila in his bizarre challenge," Scrap Devil mentioned. "Still, we shouldn't put our guard down on him too."

"Alright then. I shall accompany you to the exit, Gdark," Daigrun VII heedfully stated, letting out a warning at The Ace Duelist, "However, most of us are still going to keep an eye on you starting today."

"It's only to make sure your alignment is the same as us," Daigrun VII announced.

"I don't mind with it," Viscable replied and nodded. "Thank you for allowing me to visit Stellaramid and have a great sparring match with your members."
