Chapter 25 - The Hair Magician's Relentless Determination

The Hair Magician desperately tapped her thigh, unbuckling each of the three small belts strapped on her thighs. The belt flickered the razoring brown energies spearing the construct on its face, injecting the flow of acid into its neck and tearing the knight's face as its pieces rained down.

Prila coughed out blood and muttered. "As I told you…before…I won't let you win now, Gdark!!"

More rapid fluid was transfused into The Knight Projection's neck, raining pieces of its reflective remains. Instead of being drowned in franticness, The Ace Duelist calmly secured his cold demeanor through his eyes darting at Prila who sneered toward him, agitatedly biting her lips.

Even though The Thrashing Vanguard descended on him, Viscable only heaved his opened palm fulminating the brimming particles in his sight. He perplexedly dropped the two glassy shards that imminently flew and reattached to the bottom of his triangular backpack, marking his finger to peek at the sky.

His gesture signaled The Knight Projection to raise its head and thrust its prism sword deeper into her ribs. A disastrous effect bloomed upon Prila in the form of the swarming magenta particles strictly folding her elongated hairs.

More blood splashed on her ribs as The Knight Projection desperately shoved its spiralling sword, thickening the magenta particles surface. The Hair Magician frowned in horror toward her foe's attempt to finish her, leading The Thrashing Vanguard to dissipate.

"All this time you wanted to destroy my hair?!" Prila asked in utter shock, biting her shivering lips.

The Ace Duelist burst out a cackle in hilarity and mocked, "You realized it now, my trophy girl?"

"Ever since this battle began, I try to find the right momentum to destroy your hair," Viscable stated, clenching his fist that ignited the blasting gulp of particles and presented in front of his sight.

"And look's like, I already got this momentum!" The Ace Duelist added, raising his blaring shout and pushing his hand forward.

The Hair Magician contortedly giggled and teased, "Are you sure about cutting my entire hair…Gdark?"

"I thought you always dislike a bald woman," Prila provoked, sniggering. "I guess your preference for me changed."

Prila grunted, "What a shame."

"You have forgotten once I win this battle, you return to normal again?" The Ace Duelist countered. "Or perhaps you still have persuasive words to play with my heart."

Prila closed her eyes and murmured in annoyance. "Damn it…. damn it…you noticed my….bluff."

Hence, the fiery sleeve erupted onto Prila's hair, roaring her agonizing shriek and shuddering her legs. The stinging belts even forcibly retreated from impaling The Knight Projection, carrying her to the top with its sword. Glistening magenta particles siphoned from the prism blade, fleeing into her hair.

The Hair Magician prolonged her misery scream the longer the swarm heated her hair, turning every line of her hair into ashes. However, Prila clapped her knuckles, illuminating the pinkish aura on her hair. The aura shielded the incineration of her hair as it sluggishly dimmed out the swarm.

Observing the swarm about to fade away, Viscable drove his torching knuckle to peek at the sky above, deeply screaming. Every bone on his arm started to fracture bit by bit as the swarm illuminated its dancing gleams, enhancing the burning pain on The Hair Magician with her kneeling.

The shielding-pinkish aura on her hair ceased to exist the more the swarm raised its gleam's brightness, scratching her cheeks as she tried to ease the melting pain. The attempt was effortless when she could only painfully, peeking the entire below part of lengthened twin-tail hair turned into dust.

A finishing opportunity came into The Ace Duelist's favor when wrapped his staggering hand, jabbing it into his beating heat. The heating swarm spontaneously detonated into a giant wave of magenta particles soaring above, consuming Prila's whole body and incinerating her entire twin-tail hair. The Hair Magician's high-pitched scream of misery loudly echoed in the arena, leading Viscable to rest his hand when he suddenly felt numb after casting the enhancement for his foe.

Afterward, the giant wave's presence dissolved without leaving any more remains, regaining the clear violet sky view of the arena. Viscable constantly exhaled a heavy breath, holding his throat with the side effect of casting the last move that struck his veins. He also gazed at his paralyzed hand, disseminating the torch on his knuckle.

The Ace Duelist rested his grip that rubbed his throat, switching his glance at the current position of his opponent. He chuckled in satisfaction when he centered his focus on The Hair Magician who lay on the ground. Furthermore, he also caught Prila no longer having any remains of her hair on the head, resuming to vapor more boiling smoke.

"Without her hair, she is just a weak mage who couldn't do much against me," The Ace Duelist uttered, bowing his head and capturing the glimpse of The Knight's projection vanishing into thin air.

"I remembered she decided to put her hair as the main source for her magic," Viscable explained. "Odd decision, but it works for digging deeper into her potential."

The Ace Duelist slowly walked closer and continued with a heedful tone. "Compared to the last time we departed, she indeed has a terrifying potential to surpass me."

"She has a strong determination to persuade me to become her dream's husband, I have to incinerate her main source," The Ace Duelist exclaimed, cautiously sneering at his paralyzed hand and feeling his beating heart go faster. "And destroying her main resource wasn't even an easy task."

Viscable rubbed his chest and mumbled when he sneaked his sight at his shivering palm, "I also let fear of losing consume my mind! Something I never felt again after returning to Gloricon."

Viscable halted his approaching step, rotating his watchful sight from left to right and panting the burdensome air from lingering in his throat. He wrapped his broken arm as tight as possible, gritting his teeth before placing his wondering stare at the glistening above view of the arena. Dark toches within his heart also shrunk like a dying flame with solem touching his thought, temporarily painting a gloomy look on The Ace Duelist's face.

"Maybe…there is another universe where I choose to marry you and completely give up my ambitious life goal ," The Ace Duelist whispered with hesitation freezing his voice.

Viscable anxiously panted, "I assure you this universe will not share the same fate"

"No matter how my affection and romantic feelings strongly consume my heart, I never allow it to persuade me to give up my dream!" The Ace Duelist chuntered. "I didn't want to put my training on obtaining this state become a complete waste."

"I, Gdark, must become the best no matter what!" The Ace Duelist grumbled and panted tiredly as kindling frustration strangled his throat. "Once I decided to….satisfy my feelings first, it made my life goal meaningless!!"

Viscable puffed and whispered in pertubance, "Your persuasive word sometimes can convince me."

Unbeknownst to The Ace Duelist's sight Lidara faintly opened her eyes that glimmered the dying ray of lights. A gush of wind flew beneath The Hair Magician's back as she clutched her pinky fingers on the ground, summoning the flooding pink swarm on the entire under part of her.

The gushing wind transformed into the harsh cyclone blowing onto The Ace Duelist, gasping in startling surprise and leaping to the back. He blocked his glance with his right forehand, heedfully witnessing Prila being carried by the pinkish swarm that expanded throughout her limbs.

"Still eager to fight me despite you already lost your hair?" The Ace Duelist asked, taking a few steps to the left and staring at Prila who freed her glowing eyes full of radiating pinkish beam.

"Don't be a reckless fool like The Glassess Freak!" Viscable insisted.

Prila laughed in ridicule and taunted, "A prideful bastard like you now showing concern for me? Is this a joke?"

"Or perhaps this is the true feeling you've been hiding in your darkened heart," The Hair Magician assumed, pointing her finger toward The Ace Duelist who groaned in defiance and snickering.

"I'm only telling the truth," Viscable countered.

"Without your hair, you're just a weak magician who will be obliterated by one blast of my beam!" The Ace Duelist argued. "Unless you have a foolish wish to die gloriously, I can grant it."

Prila whistled and asserted. "You're right. Without my hair, I am simply a feeble girl who couldn't do anything."

"Can you remind me again, when this is over, is it true I will return to normal again?" The Hair Magician asked curiously, stitching her fingers altogether and beginning to levitate when she booted the ground.

Viscable nodded, "Indeed, you're correct. Once I claim this victory, your beautiful appearance will return"

"What a damn relief," The Hair Magician uttered gladly, shutting her eyes and retreating her stitching fingers. "Because I could cast this one special spell to return the tide of our lovely duel, Gdark!!"

A floating bubble of pinkish emerged in front of Prila, convincing The Ace Duelist to move further from the incoming danger and squeeze his numbed wrist. The bubble swiftly splintered large mass of windy dust flew past The Hair Magician. Both her legs and arms were fractured into tiny sparks piece by piece.

Every spark from her limbs latched onto her bald head, regrowing the line of the glistening hair. As hundreds of sparks inhabited the whole surface of her head, Prila revolved her fingers to commence the blinding wave unleashed into The Ace Duelist's sight, irritatedly howling.

Nonetheless, the blinding wave faded out and unveiled the curtain-like surprise that forced Viscable to growl in a shivering shock. His sight cleanly obtained the sighting of Prila regaining her long-pinkish twin-tail hair that flexibly elongated itself. More specifically, The Ace Duelist scanned the sighting of her legs and arms were no longer visible in the arena, glaring at the lengthened twin-tail hair touching the ground. It felt like he was his foe had his motion limbs were decapitated.

"You decide to sacrifice your limb for the sake of regaining your hair?" The Ace Duelist asked, strengthening the grip on his immobilized wrist.

The Hair Magician giggled and replied, "Of course, you didn't expect this kind of spell, Gdark."

"This is my contingency whenever someone else tries to destroy my precious hair," Prila uttered, shaking a burning spitefulness as she deeply grumbled. "I hate that kind of possibilities happen!"

"Reminded me the day when Azka-Lal has a wonderful idea to poison my hair with her goddamn poison!!" Prila bickered. "Probably the old woman might mention a bit of the deadly duel with me."

The Ace Duelist hummed and guessed cautiously, "So you improvise this replacement technique?"

"More like a desperate attempt to stay alive," The Hair Magician answered. "Back then, I have to come up with any kind of idea to win the fight."

"Also at that time, it took me 7 days to regain my limbs back," Prila clarified in bothersome. "But since I'm stuck in your pocket dimension, I wouldn't worry much like before."

The Ace Duelist cackled in amazement, "Then, I shall take my word back from calling you a fool!"

"Goes to show you have a resilient determination to win this fight," The Ace Duelist praised proudly.

Viscable pulled his numbed arms until the noise of bone cracking resonated throughout the area. A sleeving black torch folded the bone of his broken arm, reviving the motion as The Ace Duelist was able to raise his hand and flip it from left to right. Feeling his hand was able to be moved, Viscable fixated his stare to The Hair Magician.

"And you must be pretending to be unconscious so you can hear my confession right?!" The Ace Duelist accused.

Prila tittered and shouted eagerly. "You're right, Gdark!!"

"Both of us have something in common, a resolute will to achieve its goal," The Hair Magician said.

"Hence, I shall make you realize that you don't have to become the best one ambitiously, it only brings pain and misery to yourself," Prila argued

"Why do you need to beat someone dangerous alone, if you have a loyal lover like me to aid you?" Prila taunted.

The Ace Duelist cackled and assured, "Since I'm the man who loves a challenge, I'm curious to know how long I can withstand your persuasion!"
