Chapter 6 - Chapter Six

Justina's Point Of View

After 10 minutes, I pulled away from Nora and wiped my tears. "I'm sorry," I laughed. "These tears just come easily."

"I'm so proud of you Justina, I am."

"Thank you."

"But we still have a lot to discuss, that's just the beginning."

"I don't know if I can take it all in one day, I'm still even finding it to process this one." I admitted as I bit my lower lips.

"It's understandable Justina, you don't have to rush yourself. I'm here now to guide you and teach you."

"Thank you so much."

"Please don't mention, you're my daughter and it's my right to look after you, then I just couldn't, you were too young and you had to be hidden away for your safety."

"I understand, I guess," I shrugged. "It's not your fault."

She stood up and clapped her hands together. "Well, enough sulking!" Her mods suddenly changed as I stood up looking at her with amusement.

She now had a very wide smile on her face. "Let's take a walk, it helps, don't you think?"

"Sure."

I called Dawn on the phone and explained the whole situation, I noticed how her voice changed from sad to happy to sad then to happy again.

"Okay! I'm so happy for you Justina and I'm sorry."

"Don't be please, I'll just feel more horrible."

"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to." She apologized her voice laced with concern.

"It's nothing, we are going for a walk now, want to join?"

"No, you both still need your mother and daughter bonding, I'll just stay here. But call if anything, I mean anything at all."

"Thank you so much, Dawn."

"Hey, don't mention."

I ended the call and met up with Nora- I mean my mother who was a few feet away from me.

"Isn't that pretty?" I looked at her as she pointed to a flower that wasn't far away from us.

"It is."

"That's what you are inside but you shouldn't let anything destroy you or else you'd be like those weeds." She said as her finger left the flower and pointed to the weeds of grass nearby.

"What do you mean?"

"You're a very powerful woman Justina but in the wrong hands, you could be destruction, a weapon so powerful you could even destroy yourself."

I felt my breath hitch as I found it hard to breathe for a moment, I was scared. Not of other people but myself. This discovery just changed everything.

"I understand."

"No you don't," she laughed and started walking ahead of me. "But I will teach you and show you how to handle your powers."

For a moment I felt uncertain about her, what if she needed me for her good? Why come now?

"Can I ask a question?" I stopped walking and faced her.

"Hm?" She raised her head to meet my gaze.

"Why now? Why did you come now? Why didn't you come earlier?"

If there is any truth to what she has been telling me then I should be careful, I rather lock away my powers than have someone use them for their benefit.

I also couldn't trust anyone and I had to be careful. She may claim to be my mother but I need more proof so I wouldn't fall into a trap.

"Because now you're old enough to handle yourself and it's the right time for your powers to manifest. Sooner or later your powers will Start showing by themselves. If you aren't careful you could be in danger and hurt yourself or people you love." Her voice changed into a more serious one sending chills down my spine.

Okay, now I'm freaking scared.

She cleared her throat as she continued. Justina, there is so much you have to learn and how to protect yourself, if this is the only thing I can do for you as a mother then I'll dedicate whole my life to it."

"I don't know what to say-" I mumbled as I played with my fingers.

"Don't worry," she placed an arm on my shoulder. "I'm here now."

We walked around for almost two hours. She told me more about my past and with each word I found myself getting a bit scared.

What if she made the very right decision to leave me? I mean- a half-wolf and a half-witch? Isn't that powerful?

On the other hand, it could be a good thing, wouldn't it?

I was filled with a lot of uncertainty and emotions but at least I didn't feel bottled up anymore, I felt a bit free and happy.

Not only have I found my true identity, but I found my mother too or she found me. It was too good to be true but I decided to give it my all.

"Well, that's all for today I guess," Nora said as we both stopped walking.

"Thank you so much."

"Hey! Stop thanking me." Her lips formed a small frown.

"I'm sorry it just-"

She laughed at my face making me feel a bit embarrassed. "It's fine dear, I understand. Thank you! For giving me a chance. Honestly, I was very scared at first."

"I know, I was too."

"Let's see where the journey takes us ugh?"

"Yeah." I nodded.

"But I promise you, being a witch is fine!"

"I hope so."

I called Dawn who came to us within a few minutes.

"How was the mother and daughter bonding trip?" She joked while Nora and I laughed.

"It was fun, I learned a lot."

"Mind sharing some skills milady?" Dawn nudged my arm as she winked at me.

"Get lost!" I laughed and slightly pushed her away.

While Dawn and I joked, Nora just stood there watching us with love in her eyes. "I'm so happy Dawn found you and you found her."

"Well, we did find each other." Dawn laughed.

"I wish we could stay some more but I have to go, I hope we can meet again soon."

"Next tomorrow? How does that sound? Same place?" I suggested.

"Of course!"She picked up her bag and sighed deeply. "One more thing." She called her before turning to her heels.

"Yes?"

"Jasper was never your true mate."
