Tyrese sat in the living room of his family's cozy home, recounting his first week at Argentum Academy to his parents. His mother, Aurora, listened intently, her eyes shining with interest, while his father, Thane, nodded thoughtfully.
"So, how was your first week?" Aurora asked, her voice warm and encouraging.
Tyrese grinned. "It was amazing! I met so many new people, and the classes are really interesting. I'm especially loving the magical theory class."
Thane chuckled. "I'm glad to hear that. You've always had a knack for magic, even if you don't have any powers yet."
Tyrese nodded. "Yeah, I know. But I'm hoping that will change soon. I've been practicing my spells, and I'm getting better at controlling my energy."
Aurora smiled. "That's wonderful, sweetie. We're so proud of you."
Tyrese hesitated for a moment before speaking up. "There's something else, Mom and Dad. I met a girl at school. Her name is Lyra, and she's really nice. She showed me around the school and introduced me to some of her friends."
Thane's eyebrows rose. "Lyra, huh? What's she like?"
Tyrese's face lit up with a smile. "She's amazing. She's the alpha king's daughter, and she's really smart and confident. We had a great time talking, and I think we might become good friends."
Aurora's eyes sparkled with interest. "That sounds wonderful, Tyrese. We're happy to hear that you're making friends."
Tyrese nodded, feeling a sense of relief that his parents were supportive. He had been worried about telling them about Lyra, but now he was glad he had.
"Oh, and one more thing," Tyrese said, his eyes shining with excitement. "I'm thinking of trying out for the football team. I know it's a supernatural school, but I've always loved playing football, and I think it would be a great way to meet new people."
Thane grinned. "That's the spirit, son! We'll support you all the way."
Aurora nodded. "Just be careful, Tyrese. Supernatural sports can be a bit... intense."
Tyrese laughed. "Don't worry, Mom. I can handle myself."
Just then, a knock at the door interrupted their conversation. Thane got up to answer it, revealing a guard clad in the Millennium Wolf's palace uniform.
"Thane, son of Ryker," the guard said, his voice formal. "The Millennium Wolf requests your presence at the palace. A matter of great importance requires your expertise."
Thane's expression turned serious. "I'll come at once."
Aurora's eyes narrowed. "What's going on, Thane?"
Thane hesitated before responding. "I'm not entirely sure, but I think it has something to do with the prophecy. The Millennium Wolf values my skills as a hunter, and I have a feeling that I'm about to be drawn into something much bigger than myself."
Tyrese's eyes widened. "The prophecy? What do you mean?"
Thane's expression turned grim. "I'll tell you more when I get back, son. For now, just know that I'll be doing everything in my power to keep our family safe."
With that, Thane followed the guard out of the house, leaving Aurora and Tyrese to wonder what lay ahead.
As the door closed behind Thane, Aurora turned to Tyrese. "I think it's time we had a talk about the prophecy, don't you?"
Tyrese nodded.
