Lyra couldn't shake off the feeling that had been lingering inside her since the incident with Kael and Tyrese. She couldn't stop thinking about Tyrese, wondering what it was about him that made her feel so drawn to him.
After leaving her father's throne room, Lyra went to her room, took a bath, and then ate dinner. But she couldn't relax, her mind kept wandering back to Tyrese.
She decided to seek out her mother's advice, hoping that she could provide some insight into what Lyra was feeling. She made her way to the garden, where she knew her mother liked to spend her evenings.
As she entered the garden, Lyra saw her mother sitting on a bench, surrounded by beautiful flowers and trees. She greeted her mother with a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"Mother, I need to ask you something," Lyra said, taking a seat beside her mother.
Her mother smiled and took Lyra's hand. "What is it, dear? You know you can always come to me with anything."
Lyra took a deep breath. "I was wondering...how do you know when you've met your mate? And how do you feel when you're around them?"
Her mother's expression turned thoughtful. "Ah, the mate bond. It's a powerful and mysterious thing, Lyra. When you meet your mate, you'll know it deep in your bones. You'll feel a connection that goes beyond words, a sense of belonging and completeness."
Lyra's eyes widened with excitement. "That sounds amazing. But what does it feel like?"
Her mother smiled. "It's different for everyone, but for me, it was like my heart skipped a beat when I met your father. I felt like I'd found a part of myself that I never knew was missing. And when we're together, I feel like I'm home."
Lyra's mind was racing with thoughts of Tyrese. Could it be that she'd met her mate? And if so, what did it mean for her future?
Her mother's voice brought her back to reality. "Lyra, is there something specific that's making you ask about the mate bond?"
Lyra hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. But something about her mother's kind expression made her trust her. "I think I might have met someone, Mother. Someone who makes me feel...different."
Her mother's eyes sparkled with interest. "Tell me more, dear."
Lyra took a deep breath and told her mother about Tyrese, about how she felt drawn to him, about the way he made her feel like she was home.
Her mother listened intently, a warm smile on her face. "That sounds wonderful, Lyra. But have you...felt the mate bond with him?"
Lyra hesitated. "I'm not sure, Mother. My wolf hasn't told me yet."
Her mother's expression turned curious. "What do you mean? Why hasn't your wolf told you?"
Lyra sighed. "Because she's angry with me, Mother. She went far back into my mind and blocked me from being able to contact her."
Her mother's eyes widened in surprise. "Oh, Lyra. I'm so sorry. What happened?"
Lyra shook her head. "It's a long story, Mother. But basically, I didn't listen to her, and she felt like I was ignoring her. So she got angry and blocked me."
Her mother nodded understandingly. "I see. Well, sometimes our wolves can be stubborn, can't they?"
Lyra laughed. "Yes, they can."
Her mother's expression turned serious. "Lyra, have you touched Tyrese before?"
Lyra shook her head. "No, Mother. I haven't."
Her mother's eyes sparkled with interest. "But you were going to, weren't you? That's when Kael showed up and stopped you."
Lyra nodded, feeling a flush rise to her cheeks. "Yes, Mother. That's exactly what happened."
Her mother smiled knowingly. "I think I see. Well, Lyra, it's clear that you're interested in Tyrese, and that Kael is not happy about it. But we need to figure out if Tyrese is indeed your mate."
Lyra nodded eagerly. "Yes, Mother. I need to know."
after the talk with her mother Lyra made up her mind to make physical contact with tyrese the next day at school.
