Catarina's smile faltered for a moment as she thought about her family, the Lawrence Family Clan. She let out a deep sigh, feeling a mix of emotions. She had always felt suffocated by their expectations and demands. But she had agreed to meet them tomorrow, and she couldn't back out now. She thought about her masters, who had always been her rock, and how they had encouraged her to explore the world and find her own path. She felt a surge of gratitude towards them. Her thoughts then turned to Jacob, and her eyes narrowed in anger. She would make him pay for what he had done to her. But as she walked, her mind kept drifting back to the mystery man. She couldn't remember his face, but she couldn't shake off the feeling that he had left on her. She waved it off, telling herself it was just a one-night stand, but a part of her wasn't so sure.
The mystery man's eyes gleamed with intensity as he picked up the golden hairpin. He examined it closely, admiring its sharp edge and delicate design. A small smile played on his lips as he thought about Catarina's attempt to defend herself. He tucked the hairpin into his pocket, feeling a sense of possession. It was a small token, but it was a part of her, and he wanted to keep it close.
He walked over to the window, looking out at the city below. He knew that Catarina was out there, somewhere. And he was determined to find her. He couldn't explain why, but he felt a deep connection to her. He wanted to know more about her, to learn her secrets and understand what made her tick. He turned away from the window, his eyes scanning the room. He would find her, no matter what it took. The mystery man's face hardened into a determined expression, his eyes burning with a fierce intensity.
Two people walked inside the room and showed respect to the mysterious man.
The mystery man's eyes flicked to Jonna and Tommy, and he smiled slightly.
"Ah, good timing. I've found something." He held up the golden hairpin, and Jonna's eyes widened in interest. Tommy's expression remained serious, but his eyes narrowed slightly as he took in the hairpin. The mystery man continued.
"This belongs to the woman I'm looking for. I want you both to track her down and bring her to me." Jonna's eyes sparkled with excitement, and she nodded eagerly.
"Consider it done, boss. We'll find her." Tommy simply nodded, his face set in a determined expression.
"We'll need more information, though. What can you tell us about her?"
The mystery man's eyes seemed to glaze over, and he stared off into space.
"She's... different. I've never met anyone like her before. She's strong, but vulnerable at the same time. And there's something about her that draws me in." Jonna raised an eyebrow, intrigued.
"Sounds like you're smitten, boss." The mystery man's eyes snapped back into focus, and he glared at Jonna.
"I am not smitten. I simply want to know more about her. And I want you both to find her before anyone else does." Tommy nodded, his expression serious.
"We'll get on it, boss. But we'll need to be careful. If she's as unique as you say, there may be others looking for her too."
Catarina was back at her apartment it was honestly a nice apartment she walked inside and Beth the kind hearted babysitter stared at Catarina and hugged her.
"Oh dear I was worried about you!"
"Grandma Beth I am fine," Catarina said and Beth smacked Catarina.
"Do you know how worried I was! I swear I might be 699 years old but the family of three will choke me to death," Grandma Beth joked. Catarina who is always cold, emotionless, and indifferent cracked a small and she hugged Grandma Beth arm.
"Am on your will?" Catarina joked.
"GIRL!"
Grandma Beth laughed and playfully rolled her eyes.
"Oh, you think you're so funny, don't you? Well, let me tell you, I've been taking care of you and those two little munchkins for years, and I've earned the right to worry about you whenever I please!" She smiled and hugged Catarina tightly.
"Now, come on, let's get you something to eat. I've got some delicious soup cooking on the stove, and the twins are waiting for you in the living room." Catarina's expression softened slightly at the mention of the twins, and she smiled slightly as she followed Grandma Beth into the living room. The twins, who were playing with blocks on the floor, looked up and squealed with excitement when they saw Catarina.
"MAMA!" they chimed in unison, and Catarina's heart melted as she scooped them up in a tight hug.
Both the twins went by their nicknames her daughter went by Penny and her son went by Theo. Penny and Theo both fought to get to their mama first both of them became to struggle against each other.
"Move it I am the oldest!"
"Humph I am the oldest!" The two shouted in union. Catarina picked up her spirit beast pet which was mystery creature its origin was unknown but Pudding was Catarina pet the twins had their own which she had gifted them. Pudding was an intelligent little creature.
"Mamma!" They shouted finally getting to her at the same time.
"Mamma who won!"
"Both of you guys."
Penny and Theo both grinned, satisfied with the answer.
"Yay!" they chimed in unison, hugging Catarina tightly. Pudding, who was perched on Catarina's shoulder, let out a soft chirp and nuzzled Catarina's cheek. Catarina smiled, feeling a warmth in her heart that she rarely experienced.
"Let's get you two something to eat," she said, setting the twins down and leading them to the kitchen.
"Grandma Beth, I am going back to the Lawrence Estate," Catarina said as she chewed on her green apple her eyes narrowed as she thought about how they threw her in the depth Abyss of darkness how many suffering did she suffer she wants this family to suffer but even after that she suffered all kinds of pain that one would not understand five years she didn't know how to she got pregnant but was grateful to her twins but she lost so much of her memories but that didn't matter to her to much. But four years ago she was a blind woman when her kids were born she was able to see again.
Grandma Beth's expression turned serious, her eyes clouding over with concern.
"Catarina, are you sure that's a good idea? You know how they treated you in the past. I don't want you to get hurt again." She reached out and placed a gentle hand on Catarina's arm.
"You've come so far, and you've built a new life for yourself and the twins. Why go back to that toxic family now?" Catarina's gaze remained fixed on the apple, her eyes narrowed in thought.
"I have to, Grandma Beth. I have to face them and make them pay for what they did to me. I've been thinking about this for a long time, and I'm ready." She took a deep breath, her voice steady and resolute.
"Besides, I have to do this for myself and for the twins. They deserve to know the truth about their family, and I deserve closure." Pudding, sensing Catarina's tension, let out a soft chirp and nuzzled her hand.
"Penny, Theo both of you must remember my number one rule call me master you two are my little disciple this way it will keep you safe now tell me what is mamma four important rules when we are seeing the outside world aside from our home planet," Catarina asked sweetly at her twins.
