Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 {To Can Play This Game}

The room was quiet, the only sound the soft rise and fall of their chests as they breathed in unison. Catarina's face was serene, her smile still etched on her lips, while the twins' small bodies were relaxed, their tiny hands curled into fists as they slept. The tension and stress of the day seemed to melt away, replaced by a sense of peace and contentment. As they slept, the room seemed to grow darker, the shadows deepening, but the three of them were lost in their own little world, safe and protected from the outside.

The next morning Catarina was sleeping peacefully her eyes where deeply closed as she was sleeping her zekei phone ring she held out her hand as a holographic screen popped up she slowly opened her eyes damn it what is that bitch Lizzie calling her for this time? Catarina didn't understand how to deal with this but she smirked is she wanting to use her again? Her eyes glared at the holographic screen for a long time.

Catarina's eyes narrowed, her gaze piercing as she stared at the holographic screen. Her expression was cold and calculating, her lips curled into a slight smirk. She didn't bother to answer the call, instead letting it ring for a few moments before finally speaking up.

"What is it, Lizzie?" her voice was low and husky, with a hint of annoyance. She didn't bother to hide her disdain, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

"I'm sure it's not a social call. What do you want?"

"Let's meet at a cafe in Azure Sky Capital City." "Ahh I see Lizzie sure we can do that whatever shot you have to tell it would be more interesting in person," Catarina snapped and hanged up she walked to her bathroom she took a long shower her black wavy hair was long she grabbed different color of hairpins they red as she put them in her hair it kept her hair up. She wore a ripped white jeans, and her black smiley emoji shirt. She grabbed her sweatshirt.

"You two hang out with your uncle." The twins mumbled but went back to sleep.

Catarina smiled to herself as she walked out of the room, leaving the twins to their sleep. She made her way to the meeting spot, her eyes scanning the streets of Azure Sky Capital City as she walked. She arrived at the cafe, spotting Lizzie already seated at a table by the window. Catarina's eyes narrowed as she approached, her expression neutral. She slid into the seat across from Lizzie, her eyes locked on the other woman's face.

"So, what's this about?" she asked, her voice low and even. She signaled the waiter, ordering a coffee before turning her attention back to Lizzie.

Catarina's eyes sparkled with amusement as she gazed at Lizzie, her smile never wavering.

"Oh, Lizzie, you're so predictable. You think you're clever, don't you? Trying to manipulate me with your lies and your fake concern. But let me tell you, I'm not buying it. I know exactly what you're after, and it's not Alex's well-being. It's his wealth and status. You're just a gold-digger, Lizzie, and you're not even good at it." Catarina's voice was laced with sarcasm, her tone dripping with disdain. She picked up her coffee and took a sip, her eyes never leaving Lizzie's face.

"So, why don't you just drop the act and tell me what you really want? What's in it for you?"

Lizzie's face turned red with anger, but Catarina just leaned back in her chair, a calm and collected smile still plastered on her face.

"You see, Lizzie, I've been playing this game for a long time, and I know all the rules. I know how to play the innocent, the victim, the seductress. And I know how to win. So, don't try to play me, because you'll lose. Every time." Catarina's eyes seemed to bore into Lizzie's soul, her gaze piercing and unyielding.

"Now, are you going to tell me what you really want, or do I have to leave?" She raised an eyebrow, her expression expectant.

"Catarina you are so shameless!" Lizzie shouted grabbing everyone else attention.

"I am a pregnant woman and you won't leave my fiancé alone," Lizzie said.

"Oh my gosh what a wicked woman," someone whispered.

"The way she is dressed humph."

"I feel bad for the poor pregnant woman." Catarina smiled and she sighed tears streamed down her cheeks her quick acting was fast.

"What are you talking about? He cheated on me with you my best friend I trust you my first love is gone boo waaa," Catarina said as she fall on the ground and at this moment people who supported Catarina up.

"What the hell!?"

The cafe erupted into chaos as Catarina's dramatic performance gained the attention of everyone in the room. Some people gasped in shock, while others whispered to each other in hushed tones. Lizzie's face turned beet red with rage as she realized she had been outmaneuvered by Catarina's quick thinking.

"You're lying!" Lizzie shouted, her voice trembling with anger.

"You're just trying to ruin my reputation!" But it was too late, the damage was done. The crowd had already turned against Lizzie, and they began to murmur in support of Catarina.

"Poor thing, she's been cheated on by her best friend and her boyfriend," someone said.

"That's so cruel," another person added. Catarina, still wailing on the floor, managed to shoot Lizzie a triumphant glance, her eyes sparkling with satisfaction. She had won the battle of public opinion, and Lizzie was left looking like the villain.

"You…this woman is known to date just psychopath!" Lizzie said. "Oh no way!? Is this woman a psycho as well?" Now offer shifted on Lizzie side and called Catarina a psycho. To can play this game.

"My first boyfriend tried to kill I was so scared the other was too obsessed with me, and then my love oh you took him away! I loved him! You crushed my heart if me being heart broken means that I am psycho doesn't that mean those who are heart broken are psycho as well? Waaa my family hates me no loves me!" Catarina said as she cried she looked so innocent.

The crowd's opinion shifted again, this time in Catarina's favor.

"Oh no, poor girl, she's been through so much," someone said.

"Don't call her a psycho, she's just hurt," another person added. Lizzie's face fell as she realized she was losing the battle. Catarina's tears and innocent expression had won over the crowd, and they began to turn on Lizzie once again.

"You're the one who's cruel, not her," someone shouted at Lizzie.

The crowd's murmurs grew louder, and soon, people were shouting at Lizzie, defending Catarina.

"Leave her alone, she's been through enough!" one person yelled.

"You're the one who's psycho, not her!" another person chimed in. Lizzie's face turned red with anger and humiliation as she realized she was being publicly shamed. She tried to defend herself, but her words were drowned out by the crowd's jeers and boos.

Catarina, still crying, slowly got to her feet, her eyes fixed on Lizzie with a mixture of sadness and triumph. She took a step forward, her voice shaking with emotion.

"I just want to be loved, I want to be happy. Why do you have to hurt me, Lizzie?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

The crowd's sympathy for Catarina grew, and they began to chant her name.

"Catarina! Catarina!" Lizzie, realizing she was beaten, turned and stormed out of the cafe, leaving Catarina alone, but victorious.
