Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 {Uncle Justin}

As they soared through the skies, Catarina gazed out the window, taking in the breathtaking view of the Azure Sky Capital City. The city was a marvel of modern technology, with towering skyscrapers and neon lights that seemed to stretch on forever. The flying car glided smoothly through the air, weaving in and out of traffic with ease. Jimmy, the driver, expertly navigated the vehicle, his eyes fixed on the road ahead. The twins, Penny and Theo, chattered excitedly, pointing out landmarks and marveling at the sights. Catarina smiled, feeling a sense of wonder wash over her.

As they flew over the city, Catarina's eyes landed on the Lawrence Estate, a sprawling complex that seemed to dominate the skyline. Her expression turned cold, her mind flashing back to the memories she had tried to bury. She felt a surge of anger and resentment towards her family, and her grip on the armrest tightened. The twins, sensing her tension, looked up at her with concern, but Catarina forced a smile, not wanting to ruin the moment.

"Look, kids, we're almost there," she said, trying to sound cheerful. Jimmy, oblivious to the undercurrents, continued to drive, expertly navigating the flying car through the crowded skies.

The flying car landed smoothly on the helipad, and Catarina's eyes fixed on the grand entrance of the Lawrence Estate. The mansion loomed before them, its walls gleaming with a subtle sheen that seemed to radiate wealth and power. Catarina's expression turned stony, her jaw clenched in a mixture of anger and wariness. She knew that her family was waiting for her inside, and she was not looking forward to the reunion. The twins, sensing her tension, looked up at her with concern, but Catarina forced a reassuring smile.

"Let's go, kids," she said, her voice low and even. Jimmy, the driver, opened the door, and Catarina stepped out, her eyes scanning the surroundings with a practiced air of caution.

As they entered the mansion, Catarina's eyes adjusted to the opulent decor, and she was greeted by the familiar sight of her family's crest emblazoned on the walls. The twins, Penny and Theo, looked around in awe, taking in the lavish furnishings and sparkling chandeliers. Catarina's gaze swept the room, her eyes locking onto the figure of her mother, Vivian Lawrence, who stood by the fireplace, a cold smile spreading across her face. "Welcome, Catarina," Vivian said, her voice dripping with condescension.

"It's been a long time. I see you're looking...well." Catarina's expression remained neutral, but her eyes flashed with a hint of warning. She knew that her mother's words were laced with venom, and she was not about to let her guard down.

Wait her stepmother Vivian this bitch mistress after Catarina mother disappeared she wiggled herself in and here where she stand she sound like she is a queen or something so disgusting.

"Who these two?"

"My disciples"

Vivian's eyes narrowed, her gaze flicking to the twins before returning to Catarina. "Disciples?" she repeated, her voice dripping with disdain.

"You mean, your little pets? How...amusing." She took a step closer, her eyes glinting with malice.

"I must say, Catarina, you're as foolish as ever. Bringing your...playthings to the Lawrence Estate. What could you possibly be thinking?" Catarina's expression remained calm, but her eyes flashed with anger. She knew that Vivian was trying to provoke her, and she was not about to rise to the bait. The twins, sensing the tension, stood up straight, their eyes fixed on Vivian with a fierce intensity.

"We are Master's disciples," Penny said, her voice firm.

"And we will not be disrespected."

"You brat do you know who I am!?" Vivian snapped at Penny the four year old little girl rolled her beautiful eyes and she pouted.

"Humph who cares about you, evil woman ma-master is much better then you ugly makeup vixen who steal other people men," Penny said and Theo threw his small arms around his twin sister.

"So ugly eww."

Vivian's face turned beet red with rage, her eyes bulging with fury. She took a step closer to Penny, her hand raised as if to strike, but Catarina was quicker. She stepped forward, her eyes flashing with warning, and her voice cold as ice.

"Don't. Touch. Them," she said, her words dripping with menace. Vivian's hand froze, her eyes locked on Catarina's, and for a moment, it seemed like the air was charged with electricity. The twins, oblivious to the tension, continued to taunt Vivian, their voices rising in a chorus of "Ugly! Ugly!" Catarina's expression remained calm, but her eyes seemed to bore into Vivian's very soul, daring her to make a move.

Catarina's expression softened slightly as she looked at Justin, a small smile playing on her lips. She had always had a soft spot for her younger brother, and it was clear that he felt the same way about her. But as she looked at her sisters, her expression hardened again. She knew that they had never liked her, and she didn't expect them to start now. Grace, the oldest, looked at her with a mixture of disdain and pity, while Paige and Evelyn seemed to be sizing her up, their eyes scanning her from head to toe. Catarina's eyes met theirs, her gaze unyielding. She was not intimidated by them, and she was not going to back down. Justin, sensing the tension, took a step closer to Catarina, his small hand reaching out to take hers.

"Catarina, I missed you," he said, his voice trembling slightly. Catarina's expression softened, and she smiled, her eyes never leaving her sisters' faces.

"I missed you too, little brother," she said, her voice low and husky.

"You are thirteen now huh?" Catarina said she forgot that he is no longer seven years old she couldn't help but hug Justin who giggle.

Justin's eyes sparkled as he hugged Catarina back, his laughter infectious.

"Yeah, I'm a big boy now!" he exclaimed, his voice muffled against her shoulder. Catarina smiled, feeling a warmth in her heart that she hadn't felt in a long time.

"Uncle!" The twins shouted happily. Justin who is thirteen grinned foolish and he winked at his nieces and nephew of course he knew these where Catarina kids but she told Justin to act like he didn't know them.

"Hello there my name is Justin, call me Uncle Justin."

"Catarina follow us we will take you to your room as for these humph." Catarina stopped and she saw a servant.

"We need to other rooms next to my room," Catarina said.

"Who are you tell me what to do?" The servant asked. Catarina mood was bad she slapped the servant coldly.

"The young Miss."

The servant's eyes widened in shock and fear as she stumbled backward, clutching her cheek.

"Y-yes, Young Miss," she stuttered, her voice trembling. Catarina's expression remained cold and unyielding, her eyes flashing with anger.

"See to it that I have two additional rooms prepared, adjacent to mine. And make sure they are suitable for my...disciples," she said, her voice dripping with disdain. The servant nodded hastily, still clutching her cheek, and scurried off to carry out Catarina's orders. Justin's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly looked away, trying to appear nonchalant. The twins, however, looked at Catarina with wide eyes, their faces pale.

"M-master, was that necessary?" Penny asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Catarina's expression softened slightly, and she reached out to stroke Penny's hair.

"Don't worry, little one. I'll take care of everything," she said, her voice low and soothing.

Penny and Theo giggled as the servant stumbled forward and her eyes became so cold as ice and she crossed her arms she won't allow anyone to disrespect her or her kids. When Catarina walked inside her room she didn't care to much she slammed the door not bothering if it bothered other family members.

Catarina's eyes scanned the room, her gaze lingering on the opulent furnishings. She strode to the bed, dropping onto it with a sigh. The twins settled beside her, Penny snuggling into her side while Theo climbed onto her lap. Catarina's expression softened, and she wrapped her arms around them, holding them close.

"We're safe now," she whispered, her voice low and soothing.
