As anticipation sparkled in the air, the thrill quickly faded when the door to Byron's room swung open and Dorothy entered.
Winter's visage darkened at the sight of her mocking look, and she fisted her palm on her lap.
A dry smile appeared on Dorothy's face as she darted a look at Byron and smirked. "I knew I would find you here," she said with a sneer.
"It's reassuring to know that he is still alive. I expected that after the attack, he would brace the heavens, but sadly, he did not," Dorothy scoffed, casting her malevolent glare back at Winter.
