That morning, the atmosphere at the office felt more tense than usual. Although everyone seemed busy with their tasks, Selena could sense something unusual. Since her encounter with the mysterious man who came to her apartment the previous night, questions had been swirling in her mind who was behind the message? Why did they seem so concerned, yet keep their distance?
As she placed her bag on the desk, Selena noticed a small envelope she had kept. The handwriting on the card inside was elegant, but every time she looked at it, uneasiness crept in:
"Your hard work never goes unnoticed. Thank you for always giving your best."
Selena sighed deeply. She tried to push aside her thoughts, but before she could calm down, Reza, her colleague, approached her with a worried expression.
"Selena, there's an emergency meeting in the conference room. Did you hear about it?" he asked.
"No, but thanks for letting me know. Do you know what it's about?" Selena responded, slightly concerned.
Reza shrugged. "I don't have the details, but there's a rumor about some major changes."
Selena's unease grew stronger. She followed Reza to the conference room, unsure of what to expect.
Inside the conference room, tension was palpable. Senior staff members whispered to each other with serious expressions. Selena sat in one of the corners, observing the situation while trying to remain calm.
Suddenly, her vision blurred, as if a thin veil had covered her eyes. A vivid image flashed before her a stack of documents falling to the floor, followed by tense faces around the room. Panic and confusion filled the air as a critical decision was being made.
Selena gasped softly, shaking her head to clear the vision. It felt too real to ignore, but she wasn't sure what it meant.
Before she could dwell on it, the general manager's voice broke the silence. "Thank you all for coming. We have some significant updates regarding the company's structure. Unfortunately, these changes might affect several departments."
Murmurs filled the room as staff exchanged nervous glances. Selena turned to Reza, who looked visibly anxious.
"This can't be happening… They wouldn't lay people off without warning, right?" Reza whispered.
Selena didn't respond, her mind racing. She couldn't shake off the feeling that the vision she saw was about to come true.
After the meeting, Selena and Reza walked out of the conference room, both deep in thought. "I don't know what's going to happen, but we need to be prepared," Reza said with concern.
Selena nodded. "Yeah, I have a bad feeling about this."
That evening, as Selena was tidying up her desk, a message popped up on her phone. It was from the same unknown number as before:
"Stay calm. You are stronger than you think."
Selena stared at the message, confusion and curiosity mixing in her mind. Who was sending these messages? How did they know about the tense situation at her workplace?
Before she could ponder further, someone called her from behind. "Selena, someone's looking for you at the lobby."
"Who?"
"Not sure, but they said it's important."
Feeling uneasy, Selena made her way to the lobby. She spotted a well-dressed man standing near the entrance, holding a folder.
"Good evening, Miss Selena," the man greeted with a polite smile. "I was asked to deliver this to you."
Selena accepted the folder, her brows furrowing in confusion. "Who sent you?"
"I'm afraid I can't reveal that. But they wanted you to have this as soon as possible," the man replied before turning around and leaving the building.
Opening the folder cautiously, Selena found a document detailing an upcoming restructuring plan that hadn't been announced publicly. At the bottom of the document was a handwritten note:
"This is just the beginning of something bigger. Stay vigilant."
Selena's heart pounded. How did someone from outside know about this? And why were they informing her?
Just as she was about to leave, Reza appeared beside her, looking serious. "Selena, we need to talk. Something's not right."
"What is it?"
"I think we're in bigger trouble than we thought," Reza said in a low voice. "And I believe you're the only one who can help."
Selena felt a chill run down her spine.
Whatever was coming, she knew it was only the beginning.
