That morning, the sky was gray, and a soft breeze carried the scent of damp leaves. Selena sat at her desk with a steaming cup of coffee. In front of her lay the bouquet of flowers she had received the day before. A single wilting white rose remained, as if holding onto an untold story.
The brief message still echoed in her mind: "Thank you for your hard work. You're stronger than you think." It was a simple message, yet somehow, it felt personal, as if someone truly understood her.
"Selena," Reza called out suddenly, startling her. "The big boss is coming today. Are you ready?"
Selena raised an eyebrow. "The big boss?"
"Yeah, Alexander. Our CEO. He rarely visits branch offices like this. But for some reason, he wants to meet some of the staff today," Reza explained in a hushed tone, as if afraid someone might overhear.
That name momentarily froze time for Selena. Alexander… There was something about the way Reza said his name that made her heart beat a little faster. She tried to ignore the strange feeling and focused on her work again.
But as the day went on, her mind kept drifting back to the upcoming meeting. A mix of anxiety and curiosity gnawed at her, difficult to shake off.
_______________
By late afternoon, the office atmosphere grew tense. Staff were busy preparing for the CEO's arrival. Selena stayed seated at her desk, trying to calm her nerves despite the turmoil inside.
When Alexander finally arrived, the entire office fell silent. He walked in with a cold yet charismatic aura. His suit was impeccably tailored, and his gaze was sharp, as if he could see straight into a person's soul.
Selena only glanced at him briefly, but something felt odd. It was like déjà vu, as though she had seen him before—not just in a dream but in a hazy vision triggered by her HSAM ability. However, she didn't want to dwell on it. This time, she chose to keep her distance.
"Selena," Reza whispered. "You've been called to meet with Alexander."
Selena turned, surprised. "What? Why me?"
Reza shrugged. "No idea. Maybe because of your recent hard work."
With mixed feelings, Selena stood up. She walked toward the meeting room where Alexander was waiting. Every step felt heavy, as if something was about to change her life forever.
_______________
As the meeting room door opened, Alexander turned and gave Selena a faint smile. "Selena, thank you for coming."
His voice was deep and calm, yet it made Selena feel nervous. She tried to maintain a polite smile as she took the seat offered to her.
"I wanted to personally appreciate your hard work. I've heard a lot about you," Alexander said, his gaze unwavering.
Selena's heart raced. There was something in his eyes that made her feel as if she had been closely observed for a long time. Still, she didn't want to appear affected.
"Thank you, Mr. Alexander. I'm just doing my job," Selena replied calmly.
Alexander nodded, but his smile faded slightly. "Selena, sometimes there are things we can't explain logically, but we know they're real. Have you ever felt that way?"
Selena paused, surprised by the unexpected question. "What do you mean?"
Alexander smiled faintly again, this time more mysteriously. "I'm sure you'll understand in time. The world isn't always what it seems on the surface."
Selena didn't know how to respond. Alexander's words felt like a puzzle she couldn't yet solve.
When the meeting ended, Alexander stood, ready to leave. But before he stepped out, he turned and said, "I hope we can meet again, Selena. I feel there's much more we can talk about."
Selena could only nod, still trying to process what had just happened.
One thing was certain the meeting had opened a new chapter in her life, one filled with mystery, inexplicable emotions, and possibilities she had never imagined before.
_______________
That night, Selena sat on her apartment balcony, gazing at the dark sky. Her mind was flooded with questions about Alexander and the mysterious messages she had received. Was it all just coincidence, or was there something more behind it?
Suddenly, her phone vibrated. A new message appeared:
"You're not alone, Selena. Don't be afraid. Time will reveal everything."
Selena read the message with a pounding heart. Who sent this message? And what did they mean by "time will reveal everything"?
Before she could think further, another vision flashed in her mind. This time, she saw herself with Alexander, but in a place she didn't recognize. They looked happy, but a dark shadow loomed in the distance.
Selena snapped out of the vision, breathing heavily. What did it all mean? Was Alexander part of a fate she couldn't avoid? Or was this feeling merely the beginning of something bigger and unforeseen?
In the midst of her confusion, one thing she knew for sure, her life would never be the same again.
