Chapter 4 - Chapter 3: Dinner with the Asters

Sebastian

I gestured for Lilith to walk in front of me. I wanted to take her in as she walked by. She kept casting me glares that made the corner of my mouth turn. My demon was battling against the holds of my mind, wanting to come out and take that sweet, decadent woman into his savage claws.

I followed behind her, head low as her scent circled my nose. I slowly sped up my pace as I walked next to her. I couldn't keep my eyes off her.

"This way," I pointed out the grand staircase in front of us and, with a devilish smile, I rolled her sweet name off my tongue. "Lilith, your room is just up these stairs and to the right".

She huffed as she flung her hood back over her beautiful face. I furrowed my brows into a frown as she made her way up the stairs, the swaying of her hips had me biting my lower lip, my eyes flashing with lust as I followed her.

We hit the top of the stairs; she turned a sharp right as I quickly made my way back next to her. I looked up, counting the doors to the guest room she would be in, a mental note for myself for later.

I turned to her, cutting her off as I leaned on the door that was hers.

"This will be your chambers, Lilith", I licked my lips as I extended a hand towards her hood.

"If you need... Anything," my eyes flashed a look of lust as I grinned, leaning towards her, my face inches from hers, which wasn't as hard as it was with Anastasia. This woman was a solid 5'11. "You just have to say my name," I whispered, smiling.

I didn't see what happened next at all. She quickly shoved me against the door, her hood falling off her head as she glared up at me. A blade on her elbow slowly extended from her other arm that was pressed up against my throat, pricking me and sending a droplet of blood down my neck.

"I am not to be talked to like I'm some plaything," She leaned towards my face, her lips close to me, causing my body to ache. Her breath hit my face, sending chills down my spine as my body erupted in goosebumps. "I know what you are, demon, and I have my eye on you", she said in that dangerous sultry tone as she backed off me. She grabbed me, picking me up and moving me out of the way, which left utter shock on my face.

The door closed as I stood there dumbfounded. Did she just pick me up? I started laughing hysterically as my demon growled deep within me. I ran my hands through my hair as I walked up to her door.

"Dinner's at 5:00pm, we expect you there", I growled out as I turned away from her door. I must go and do something with myself before my monster takes over and busts down her door.

I gripped my neck, pulling my hand away from it I raised the blood droplets up to my mouth. I lapped them up as a fire burned in my chest. This woman had brought out a new sensation within me, and it was driving me and my demon crazy.

5:00pm quickly rolled around, I was practically jumping out of my skin with giddiness as I threw on a button-up shirt and dress pants. I stopped in front of the mirror as I fixed my hair. I turned to open the door and make my way to Lilith's room. She didn't know where the dining hall was, and I would love to show her.

I quickly made my way there. She was only one floor below me. I halted in front of her room, reaching out the back of my hand, knuckles ready to rasp on her door. I was hit with a feeling of uneasiness. I stepped back. What is this? Nerves?

"Seems you're not the only one feeling uneasy", my demon grumbled in my head as I could feel the awkwardness rolling off him. This was new, we'd never felt unconfident before. Could it have been the display she showed us earlier? Could it be because she knows I have a demon residing in me?

I shook my head as I mustered up the courage, reaching out and knocking on her door. It felt like ages before I heard the lock click.

I froze as the door slowly opened, revealing her standing there. She was wearing a white ruffled top that tied off in the middle and slumped off her shoulders. Her lined tattoos that ran down her cheeks, curved under her delicate jawline, gliding down to her chest. My eyes unwillingly followed the lines, which caused her to cover her chest up with her arm.

"If I wanted to be gawked at like I'm an ancient treasure, I would have applied to be decor in a museum." She sharply said to me, as she took a step forward. "I take it it's important if you're here, so spit it out." She glared at me with those piercing yellow eyes.

I cleared my throat, as I studied her features. Her ears were back to normal. I raised a brow as she puffed her cheeks out in irritation.

"Dinner," I firmly said as I turned to the side, allowing her to exit her room and close her door. I managed to get a quick glimpse into her room. No armor in site. Odd, something like that wouldn't fit in the closet.

She turned her nose up as the door closed behind her, making her way to the staircase. I silently walked next to her, taking in her beauty as we rounded the corner. I guided her to the left, down the hall and we entered the dining hall.

My father was positioned at the head of the table; my mother, Ann, was next to him. The table was full of food I'd had before, so I glanced down to gander at Lilia's reaction.

Her face was void of emotion as she made her way to the guest seat. She knew her place, she must have done these kinds of gigs before. She brushed her leather pants before she bowed to the king and queen, then took her seat. I scoffed as I headed to take my seat next to my mother.

My mother elbowed my father halfway through the service. He was staring at Lilith, which boiled my blood. I should be the only one staring at her. I reluctantly shoved the carrots around my plate. What came next caused me to stare daggers at my father.

"Lilith! May I inquire about your... tattoos?" He smiled big at her. She flinched as pain briefly crossed her eyes.

"Henry! " That is rude!" My mother smacked him upside his head.

Lilith took her napkin and gently dabbed the corners of her mouth. She folded it neatly into her lap as she turned her wonderful gaze towards us. Her beautiful rosy lips stayed in line as she flatly responded.

"I'm sorry sir, but our practices are not to be discussed outside of our clan, unless it's required." She tilted her head ever so slightly as she drew a soft smile across her face. I covered my face as a flurry of lust from my demon rose into my chest. I pushed away from the table, standing up abruptly.

"I'm heading to town," I turned as my mother protested behind me.

"Sebastian, you don't need to waste money on drinking when we have perfectly good wine here." She folded her arms as she glared at me. My father patted her shoulder, calming her down as he beamed at Lilith.

"You must take her with your son! " She's your guardian till her contract is up!" He chuckled as Lilith darted her eyes at me as her jaw clenched.

"No, she's not in her armor, you know how long it'll take for her to get it on, the night would have wasted away." I shooed them off with the back of my hand as I headed towards the exit. I needed to blow some steam off, whether it was fist fighting someone or bedding a woman, I had to get Lilith off my mind.

The sound of a chair scraping across the floor caused me to halt. I glanced over my shoulder as she turned to bow to the king and queen.

"I will accompany him." She stood up as she shot an aggressive snarl at me. "I don't need my armor to do my job".

"Oh, I like her!" Ann whispered to Henry, who chuckled. Rolling my eyes, I tilted my head for her to follow. My demon rumbled a happy hum as she walked behind us.
