"This is the final state of the house, Light, everything is as you wanted. I personally worked on the interior design of the house and put each camera device that was taken to the basement in separate boxes with spares. We also used remote wireless cameras to replace the main camera lines so that everything is like a smooth safe house."
Light had been waiting for this day for almost 5 months. Since day one of the deal, Adam and every single team member in his company have been working together in a massive grouping to organise his home and everything around it.
Their deal with the collector was finalised exactly 7 days ago and Light had managed to do everything on his to-do list. Even though it was strange that his money was almost gone, he still had a significantly higher amount of money.
To be precise, he had almost a billion pounds left, and if there was no apocalypse - which he was sure there would be - he would have money that he could use freely for the rest of his life.
Even if there was an apocalypse, there would still be the odd cash operation, the only reason he knew this was because some of the news channels had seen it on the news, some of them surviving for close to 6 months.
He just hoped all this effort hadn't been in vain.
"Everything's fine, is there anything else I should know?" Adam shook his head as Light voiced this question and then continued:
"We used platinum steel on the inside of the walls of the house, then we used heavy bank vault steel for the walls of the house itself, and on top of that we used a building stone similar to the tone of the house itself to make the house look like it used to be. In short, we managed to make the house incredibly strong without anyone noticing."
This seemed to satisfy Light quite well.
"Also, although I didn't understand why you wanted to do it like that, I built a 15-metre thick, steel tower-like structure right next to the house, pressed and nailed it to the ground, and covered it completely with solar panels. I made another roof all over the roof and even the tiles combined with solar panels. The house will not have any problems, but the fact that we live in the UK is a big minus. A country without sunshine won't have much to do with solar panels."
The man let out a small laugh as he finished, of course, it was a joke, it was well known that solar panels could be powered by radiation or light from the sun, which meant that unless there was heavy rainfall all year round, there would be no problems.
So Light had indeed managed to create an environment in which he would not be without power under any circumstances.
However, the fact that the government would not collapse immediately was the only thing in Light's favour. After all, there was something he was able to see in those memories or in those things he experienced.
At first, the army was mobilised and destroyed, then the government collapsed and every single rebellious person was scattered, criminals mingled with society and the number of deaths increased incredibly, and finally drought, virus and mutation took over both England and the rest of the world.
So this required his sister to stay with him for a while.
Light's goal was to tell his sister everything on the date he brought his sister to him, that is, the day before the apocalypse began. His goal, if what he said was true, was to have his sister sell all the companies and assets, and in this way, to enter a financial gathering with the last pieces of the remaining 'government' that had managed to recover a little later.
The fact that he had enough weapons to set up his government certainly meant that the government would listen to him, he just had to move the stones in the right direction. Just in case something happens of course.
"Everything is as I said, you did your job properly Mr Adam, thank you." With Light's words, everything seemed to be completed.
From the electric fences to the solar panels, from the spectacular appearance of the house to the cameras around, everything was quite perfect, the only thing left was to see the inside of the house.
As Adam and his group were leaving, Light entered the house and looked out of the window.
Since every tree within an 11.5-kilometre radius of the house had been uprooted, it was quite clear from the window what was good and what was not, as well as an early warning system of any danger.
The land he owned was -one word- big and so with that he made sure that if a zombie horde would come to his house and somehow pass all the electric fences and such he would see them.
The interior of the house was very well decorated, one glance was enough to tell that. When Light took a deep look around, he saw that everything was placed exactly as he wanted, and on top of that, he learnt that access to the security systems worked with voice, retinal system and fingerprint.
This meant that there was no possibility of anyone getting in from the outside.
This was the safe house that Light had been waiting for 5 months to be completed.
For five months he had been storing special weapons sent by the collector or delivered with him, all the while buying all the freshly cut meat or freshly picked fruits and vegetables he could still find and throwing them into his sub-space.
He had by any means all the food that was being made in factories all over the world. He spends almost a billion pounds only to buy them.
And surprisingly the government didn't care, or perhaps they knew but simply didn't thought it was something bad.
And that meant none of them knew about him buying guns from the black market.
With this, he had indeed managed to complete his stockpile. After all, he had already managed to buy water supplies and everything was complete.
The only thing left to do now was to continue training his body as he had been training it for the last five months until the end of the month, go to the firing ranges and get some more training, and then drop himself into the apocalypse.
He didn't know what would happen, he wasn't a god after all, but he was sure of what would eventually happen; either he would die or everything dead or alive that came upon him.
