Chapter 15 - Rise Of Angus McFarr

While Arthur Pendragon had the loving Sir Ector and the future Knight of the Round Table, Sir Kay, as family, the same could not be said for Angus McFarr.

Tossed into orphanhood at birth, he was raised by the last, weak survivors of Clan McFarr in the frigid mountains of the North. Driven to the very ends of the isle, they were deemed too weak to even ally with. Gone were the days of glory; all that remained were pitiful remnants.

Unlike the warmer regions of the South, Angus was raised with nothing except the rocks.

I do not know the exact details of his childhood, for they were never mentioned again. But what I do know is that it hardened the young boy.

Gone was the immaturity of youth; in came the maturity of adulthood. From a young age, Angus helped the clan with whatever odd jobs there were, disregarding his position. Even though he was the nominal chief of the clan, he did it, for there were not many people in the clan.

Coming of age, he grew up to be lean in stature, with muscles tightly packed, unlike his father. Though not many in number, they still regularly held raids on Britain, securing as much food as needed for their long days.

These did not last long, for it was revealed that there was a new king in Britain.

Gone were the mismatched, unruly soldiers. In their place came knights wearing shining armor. Their combined might, along with their well-cared-for bodies, decimated the warring gang.

Here Angus fought with mighty Lancelot, Sir Kay, and the mighty King Arthur. Although Angus could not defeat the combined might of Lancelot and Arthur, he was defeated, but he still landed egregious wounds upon them.

For in this battle, Caliburn was destroyed.

Fleeing with the remnants of his few remaining kin, they escaped to Caledonia.

Distraught, it was said that on the hallowed eve of Lambust, Angus left the settlement. No one knows what happened, but he returned after seven mornings.

Wielding the Hammer of Chaos and the mighty Silver Armour

Using the sacred armaments bestowed by the hallowed three, he sought to reunite the fragmented land of Scotland.

Though daunting, he succeeded in a mere three years, for it turns out they also wanted to be whole. Despite the threats of the Knights of the Round Table, they succeeded with ease. For among them were the renowned champions of the highlands:

Fealor the Wise, knowledgeable in the unknown

Wootsman the Strong, his strength equaling that of a thousand men

Grandmaster Proximus and his Knights, the sacred order, Òrdugh na naomhachd, capable of matching the Round Table in might

Even the mighty seven dwarven kings of Aberdeen were added to his ranks, creating relics of great renown for Angus.

Using the vast mechanical constructs of the dwarven kings, Angus built the mighty city-fortress of Strathfife, christening his armor the same, a symbol that he would defend the great lands of Scotland with justice and pride.

Yet dark shadows loomed over Angus and the mighty kingdom of Strathfife...
