Liam's POV
If there was anything I loathed more than the focus of my revenge, then it would be the fact that my enemy brought tears to my woman's face.
We were headed to the venue, even though I didn't want her to go there. Reporters would be everywhere and it's clear that she still wasn't thinking straight, but I couldn't refuse anything if it came from her.
It wasn't even such a long drive, so we got there on time. I had to employ some bodyguards to infiltrate the wedding stay at strategic positions at the hall so that they would handle any unnecessary reporters around where we would pass.
All of this happened when she was still in the shower. Trisha took her precious time to get ready, but I was surprised by her choice. A blue skinny jeans shorts and an off white chiffon button up shirt. She paired the look with brown heels and put her hair up in a messy bun. She only applied lip gloss and mascara, but she still managed to blow me away. We looked like a couple. I couldn't even hide my smile if I wanted to
I was waiting for her in the living room and air immediately left my lungs when she came out, walking timidly and staring at me, as if waiting for me to tell her that she looked good. I didn't hesitate to tell her, and a smile adorned her pretty face.
She was vulnerable and it broke my heart.
"Come on, let's go, unless you want to make out with my couch." She said dismissively as she walked around, turning off unnecessary lights.
"You know who I'd rather make out with, Patricia."
"Whatever, let's go." She rolled her eyes and her cheeks were stained red. She knew who I was talking about, and I found it hot.
We were on the move. Even though I tried to lighten her mood all through the ride and she looked better, she was still blinded by her rage.
The minute we arrived, she practically flew out of the car and I rushed to park properly so I could follow her. It amazed me the way she was able to walk well in her heels and she was bold enough to disgrace herself that she tried to walk in through the main entrance. I immediately pulled her to me and practically dragged her to the back, all the way she kept hitting my chest and asking me what I was doing.
"Calm down. We are doing this my way. Goy won't do something you'll regret under my watch, tigress."
She kept hitting me but calmed down when we got to the back door. I let her go, and she turned to face me, contempt etched on her face.
"Why didn't you just tell me?"
"You know now. Let's go. You'll be able to see them at a certain angle and no one would know you're here."
She turned to face me, and just when I thought she would fight me, she pressed her face against my chest and wrapped her arms across my middle.
"Thank you for everything, really." Her voice was so soft, so meek. If I didn't know my ice queen she would've fooled me, but she sounded sincere and broken and hurt.
I wanted to placate her more, but it was her wish if she really wanted to get a glimpse of the wedding.
My bodyguards assured me that we were safe so we sneaked in and I couldn't ignore the horror that swallowed Patricia's face upon seeing her ex husband. She saw Quinn, smiling brightly in her wedding dress and having the time of her life. The hall was awfully filled with people, some clearly her old associates. Perhaps they all planned her downfall. Just when I thought she would collapse again, she folded her hands and pursed her lips
"Where am I escorting you to? I think it's time for us to leave. I'm done here. I've confirmed that truly, Henry married my assistant with my money." She said in one controlled breath, and it was a relief that the rise and fall of her chest was steady. Reality had finally hit.
"Are you okay?" I asked. She nodded her head and turned around to leave. Awful timing but my eyes had to act crazy and fall on her ass and the way her hips swayed inside that body hug jeans. This woman had no idea what she was doing to me.
As always, I sprinted a little so I could reach her since she simply left me. We got to the car and zoomed off. I hastily sent a text message to my bodyguards, telling them they could leave and that they had done a good job.
"Where are you taking me to? Ugh, I wish I never agreed to this." She rolled her eyes frustratedly and sank into her seat.
"Let's start with lunch. I need to become your legal guardian soon since you do everything but eat."
She glared at me, then looked away.
"You're right. I am hungry. I want steak and pasta together."
"That's an interesting combination. I'll get it. Let's eat in the car and talk. I don't want you outside, at least not near the venue of the wedding."
"Yeah I understand. Make it quick!" We arrived at a reputable restaurant and I hastily came down since my woman was hungry. It was not something that was common so I planned to stuff her so bad.
I came out with bags upon bags of food. My grin was wide on my face, especially after seeing the horror on hers. Yeah, it was too much for two people to consume.
"I don't know how you plan to eat steak in a car, but be my guest."
"Just hand it over." The minute she opened it, I saw her mouth quiver. I loved when I made my woman happy. You don't have to remind me that she's not mine yet, but it's only a matter of time.
How else will my revenge hit?
