Chapter 23 - Gorgeous Woman

Liam's POV

An award night wasn't my style, but I couldn't refuse Patricia when she told me she wanted to attend to see how my company worked.

I was so powerful that I could choose not to attend my own event and nobody could talk to me about it. My partner company chose to hold this to appreciate the most hard working set of staff so they could do more for the company.

While I thought it wasn't such a bad idea, it was still a big waste of time. Now my staff all had an excuse to play dress up instead of fucking working. These criminals were scattered across the country but we were more focused on award nights?

I explained to Patricia but instead she told me about how such a good idea it was.

Right, you have no idea how everything went down after the little stunt she pulled a week ago at the barn. I was this close to touching her, but I refused to let her win. If she didn't want to be there so bad, I should've let her go but maybe that was my mistake.

Trust me to have fucked my fists severally that night, under running ice cold water, wishing it was her hands and mouth instead. She really did mess me up and we met up the next day at work to talk about it where we both apologized. At least now she didn't seem to be so bothered about Henry's wedding.

Otto has been doing a pretty good job being my spy, although Patricia had no idea about what I was up to and that was great. Things were okay.

She specifically warned me not to disrespect her or pick her up tonight, so I guess I would have to respect her wishes. She complained about how I was treating her like a child.

My staff put everything together and the set up did make me loosen up a little as it was nothing short of perfect.

The awards were perfectly lined up at the podium and guests upon guests poured in. I shook hands with lots of potential clients and partners.

While I was still attending to guests, I met with a prestigious member of a golf club I belonged to. He is incredibly influential and runs chains of business. He's tall but obviously not as tall as I am. He looked like a perfect gentleman.

It surprised me that he even made it here, so I gave him my best smile as we shook hands. But maybe I should've probably showed him to the door the second I saw him.

"Liam Colloway, you've done so well with the place, I mean look at this," He made a gesture with his hands, as if directing me to see what he saw, exactly how he saw it.

I smiled, actually proud of myself.

"You're such a good boss, throwing an award night for your staff."

He stressed on 'staff' like they weren't people or they didn't mean anything to me. That should have been the first red flag, but I waved him off and replied.

"Thank you for coming. I really appreciate it." I said as politely as I could but instead, he chuckled.

"Oh no, I didn't come just because I had free time. I mean, you know me. I just came to see that crazy woman, Patricia?"

He said, probably unsure and waiting for me to correct him, but my jaw tightened suddenly. He still kept talking.

"I heard she's your new addition to the company. After that saga with her ex husband, I'm glad he's out of the way"

At this point I was no longer listening. He just called her crazy.

"Crazy?" I repeated, extreme carefulness laced in my tone. If he was smart, he would have caught on.

"Crazy and hot if I might add. I'm a full grown man and I've been having wet dreams about that woman and I haven't even seen her before. I came to talk to her, maybe I could perhaps get to fuck her tonight if things go well. Maybe you could link me to her or something."

Shock laced my bones. I didn't expect such a man to talk carelessly. He didn't even know me, did he expect me to seriously do that?

"So you're saying you came to my awards night so I would connect you to my staff for sex? You're better than this, Andrew."

I tried to be so careful and hide my rage.

"What's that supposed to mean? Are you trying to judge me or something? Because of that woman who can't even hold a marriage together?" He sounded pissed but I was so done with the conversation.

"Turn around and leave quietly. I wouldn't want to cause a scene. Leave now as you're still whole."

He smirked, then shook his head.

"Threatening me, Colloway? Because of a piece of pussy? You'll hear from me! Fuck you and your shitty company and don't worry, I'll get that woman. Too bad she hasn't replied to any of my messages but she will soon, and you'll regret this stupid stunt you pulled just now."

"Sure, get the fuck out. I have important guests to attend to." I would deal with him later but tonight, nothing would get me out of character.

He laughed incredulously before walking away. My fists were then clenched, all my veins strained and visible to fight. I was ready to and it took every last ounce of maturity to not give in and kill this man.

Now I really really wanted to leave. I had to leave. I had to calm my nerves.

Just before I would turn to leave, darkness took away my vision. I mean, an ebony black dress covered in crystals. My eyes graced the beautiful figure, all the way from the heels to the dress, all the way to the way the body hugged it. It was the hottest thing I had ever seen.

Then I raised my head up to see the face. That's when I completely stilled, unmoving as if suddenly in a trance. Her beauty was out of this world, it was abnormal. Her lips blood red, her eye shadow only revealing how seductive her eyes were, her earrings so beautiful.

She was literal perfection and then, she was fucking talking to Andrew?

I stormed there like a mad man, ready to drive my fist into his face but the second her hot gaze fell on me, my steps slowed then the soles of my shoes came to an abrupt stop.

My shoulders relaxed and for some reason, ease settled in. I wanted to pick her up in bridal style, hike up that dress and eat her pussy until she couldn't take it anymore. I wanted to kiss those lips so hard she would forget how to talk. Fuck that cunt so hard she would want to be bedridden forever.

I mistakenly shifted my gaze from her blinding face to Andrew's and I just, I just fucking lost it.
