Once upon a time, there lived a mighty Emperor.
The Emperor had everything in the world he could ever wish to get, including a beautiful and lovely woman as his Empress, several princes for his succession, a vast Empire and his subjects, countless treasures some could ever offer him.
But there was something that he couldn't get even if he wished for so desperately.
In his Empire, Princesses were barely born in several centuries, especially in the Royal Family.
The Emperor wanted a daughter so bad that he looked for everything he could, even visiting the temple and fortune tellers.
"Your Majesty will get both a blessing and a curse upon yourself. You have to judge and detect who is the curse and who is a blessing by your own wisdom."
A century old fortune teller told him, which bothered the Emperor.
A curse and a blessing? What does that mean?
Even though he didn't understand what she meant at first, things became clear when he saw the face of his child born to the Empress.
The Empress went to the country-side and gave birth to the child; it was taken back to the palace. Unfortunately, she was still unwell, so the nurse was the one to bring the child to see the Emperor.
"It's a princess, Your Majesty!"
"Congratulations!"
The cries of the child filled the room, but the atmosphere froze when the nurse and the maids saw the look on the Emperor's face.
The people in the room gasped in disbelief when they saw the mark in her wrist held by the Emperor.
The baby was born with a curse mark?
Then…
The disappointment and agony came with sorrow, the Empress couldn't convince him.
After that day, the only Princess of the Empire was officially abandoned.
Step by step, the little baby grew up without seeing her parents' face, only to live in a deserted place with a few maids, who didn't care for her.
Filling her stomach by stealing bread, learning things by sneakily invading her brother's classes, the princess wasn't even given her surname, nor anybody called her by a name she should have.
The baby thought:
It's all my fault.
If only this cursed mark wasn't on me when I was born…
Would they have loved me?
Step by step, the forgotten princess grew up without any love, much less any education or anything worth.
To prove herself to the Emperor, to be recognised by her family, the Princess decided to learn things and show her brilliance in front of the Emperor. So she learned to sneak out of the Palace and started to learn and master many things outside.
On her tenth birthday, she was finally called for her introduction to society. She thought she was finally being recognised for all her efforts.
But who knew that the Emperor would be blessed with not one, but two daughter's?
Just like in the stories they tell, the Emperor's real daughter appeared at the banquet, astonishing everyone.
Not only did she resemble the Empress in appearance, her eyes were strikingly similar to that of the Emperors.
Without a single mistake, she was undoubtedly the real daughter!
So that means…
In an instant, all the hateful and scornful looks fell on her, the fake, born with a curse mark.
"I'm not fake! I'm also my father's daughter!"
The girl desperately begged them for attention, to prove that she wasn't a fake, but a real Princess.
Only to get cold stares in return.
She could only stand in a place and watch the opera show reveal in front of her. The daughter that stayed in the palace for years couldn't see her father's face for ten years, but the child who showed up in less than a month, won his heart and became the beloved princess.
She had to understand that in this palace, there was no position for her. No one was on her side, even the person she loved turned his back to her and warmed up to the real princess.
Later, she realized that it wasn't actually love, but her obsession for being recognised.
Yes, that's it.
The only person she trusted and befriended also betrayed her in the worst way and sold her out for money.
There was no place for her, the fake princess.
In the year she turned nineteen, a war broke out within the two vast empires, and she, despite doing nothing at all, was accused of being the one to fuel the war.
There was a pile of documents and things she never saw in her life taken out of the room she stayed in before, and she didn't have any proof that she wasn't the one. Because the maid's testimony proved it all.
She was a witch who flared the fire of war within two empires, she must pay for her sins!
She had to die miserably, in a dark corner, being tossed into fire by the beloved princess, as the princes stood behind her and stared at her with mocking gaze, seeing her beloved hold the princess into his arms.
"Sinners should pay for their sins accordingly, and that's what you are doing right now. Any last words?" He asked in an insincere voice.
Last words?
She really didn't have any, except that there was someone, only one person in her small world till the age of nineteen, she wanted to express her gratitude to.
Unfortunately, she wouldn't be able to see that person anymore.
She hoped that her sincere wishes for his well being would reach him and keep him safe and happy, for the rest of his life that he lives moving forward.
She looked at the princess, then the rest of her brothers and her fiance, even her best friend and maids were present there.
A smirk appeared in the corner of her lips as she struggled to raise her hand.
"...!!!"
The audience was shocked beyond words when they saw the dying girl smirk proudly and show off a sign with her middle finger up in the air, as she screamed out loudly.
"Fuck yourself, bastards!"
The moment she opened her mouth, a chunk of poisonous gas produced by the fire entered her mouth and nose, reaching her lung as she felt inexplicable pain.
But the satisfaction she felt by cursing out loudly was out of the world!
Especially seeing those bastard's distorted expressions brought her endless joy.
'Hope you all join me in hell soon!'
After she died, one of the guys spat out in irritation, "This is air pollution for air! Honestly, that bastard child has no manners! Such a waste of air!"
"How did she even learn those vulgar manners?"
"Well, does it matter? Anyway, that bastard child is now dead, so it doesn't matter."
Of course it's not something she could learn staying cooped up in the palace. She learned it from that person, the one she has been indebted to.
The noble princess that returned back to her family was praised for being noble and virtuous for saving the Empire from the wicked, evil fake. Thus the country prospered and they lived happily ever after.
The end.
