The sun shined brightly down on zephyr continent. The warm rays casting down a radiating warmth, of nourishing vitamin to the people's skin. It was a bit early in the morning, but the vibrant buzzing from the crowds of people could not go unnoticed.
"Hi Jane! how's your health today?" A young man with bulky frame in casual wears smiled. Waving to a woman with short dark hair in her thirties, across the street.
"Oh.. a little bit dizzy after the pain killers, but am alright now." She smiled back, watering the flowers on display in her huge rows of stalls outside.
About to leave the young man was reluctant, his mind pondering on something. 'I should ask her to dinner today.' He contemplated hesitant a bit.
'No.. no going back today.' He tightly clenched his fist with resolve, and determination in his eyes.
"Hey Jane!" He called out, navigating his way across the crowds of people on the walkway.
"Huh? What's wrong?" She worriedly asked surprised he hadn't left yet. Having knowing each other for some while, they usually did this routine everyday. So she was a bit surprised to see baek, still here.
"I wanted to ask." He said with a bit of nervousness in his tone. Anxiety and a bit of fear lingered in his eyes, as beads of sweat dropped down his head.
'W-why am I so sweaty? It's just dinner, I mean it's not a date or anything.' He weirdly chuckled trying to compose himself, but failed miserably.
"I can't hear you, what did you say?" She yelled back with a slight frown, not hearing anything he said over the noise from the crowd and cars passing by.
'I wonder what's so important he had to tell me now he couldn't call later?' She thought as this was unusual of her friend baek.
'Damnit! get a grip on yourself man, you can do this.' Baek grunted fighting his confliction. He was now much closer to Jane's location, just at the start of the lane leading to her stall. Taking a deep breath he checked for any cars, and luckily there was none. To which he calmly made his way to Jane.
"I was wondering if you would want-"
"Beak watch out!" Jane shouted cutting him short. Looking, he could see a black Limousin appeared out of nowhere speeding towards him.
'Shit.' He inwardly cursed gritting his teeth, falling forward just in time before he was rammed by the blazing limo.
"Oh my goodness, are you alright baek?" Jane worriedly asked rushing over to baek.
"Yeah it's nothing, I've been through worse." Baek acted tough earning him a nudge from Jane, to which they both laughed off.
'I'll need to have a word with the council.' Baek thought clearly recognizing who that vehicle belonged to.
"So.. what was so important you had to tell me you almost got yourself killed?" Jane teased helping baek up to his feet.
"Ehhm.. nothing ha-ha! I just remembered we didn't exchange pleasantries today." Baek awkwardly uttered earning a suspicious glare from Jane.
"Ha.. I knew it, you hit your head hard. Come on, it's your turn to go to the hospital." Jane smirkingly joked with a playful tone.

"I understand, thank you Bruce." Jacob calmly said ending the call. His face was a mix of anger and worry.
"Judging by your expression after that call I can tell that was Bruce right?" Alex said to which Jacob nodded.
"It's something about the meeting isn't it?" He asked knowing his father too well. He could tell something bad had happened, as his face only contorted to this in extremely bad situations.
"Bryce has discovered an orange orb." Jacob lightly spoke crossing his arms together, making Alex eyes widen a bit in surprise.
"A-am orange orb?" Alex stuttered not expecting that. He'd expected something different like a sentinel exploding, or a much severe occurance affecting the affairs of this three continents. But nothing like this.
"According to Bruce this orange orb is meant to be better than the green. Lasting more and better efficiency. But it hasn't been announced to the public yet, as it's still being tested on."
"Knowing Bryce he certainly isn't doing this from the good of his heart. He'll probably try to apply for a post as governor or senator." Jacob sternly spoke pointing out the obvious.
"Why does it feels like that isn't the bad news?" Alex raised a brow.
"Because it isn't. Not everyone in the association are onboard with his schemes, but some are leaning towards his initiatives." Jacob frowned a vein bulging on his forehead. He didn't like Bryce ideas one bit, as they always had to take something in return.
First was the green orb given free by the sun, but mandated to be purchased to increase the 'continents revenues'. And now the sentinels aimed to ease the citizens life, but was the opposite. Not only was it expensive to purchase, but to also maintain. And one had to worry about the constant fear of it exploding.
"We all know Bryce plans, the association won't be stupid enough to fall for it." Alex uttered with a light smirk. He disliked Bryce and whatever scheme he was cooking, but he didn't see him on a threat level.
"Still.. why do I have this lingering feeling something bad is about to happen." Jacob sighed, getting up from his comfy brown leathered king size chair. His steps faltering a bit, making his way to the two huge glass windows behind.
Listening to jacob words Alex couldn't help but frown. Knowing his father most of his predictions usually came to past. Getting up Alex made his way to the former, placing his hand to his shoulder. Giving him some light taps.
"Don't get so worked up old man or you might have a stroke, and mom will definitely kill you this time." Alex teased earning a slight chuckle from his father. The duo then talked about other casual stuff, mostly teasing each other.
'Knock! knock!' Their attention was pulled by two knocks to the door.
"Come in."
"Master Jacob, master Alex. she has arrived." A guard bowed declaring entering the room.
"Oh! let her in." Jacob casually waved to which the guard nodded exiting the room.
"You didn't tell me you were expecting a guest?"
"I wasn't." Jacob honestly said, making Alex raise a brow. Soon after a few minutes the doors opened once again. With the emergence of a figure, making her way into the room.
"G-governor xia-" Alex stuttered a bit bowing his head slightly, not expecting the governor of zephyr continent.
"Humble as always. Am charmed young master, you'll turn into a fine senator." She smiled to which Alex nodded.
"Miss xia." Jacob nodded with her doing the same. "I must ask, what brings the governor to my house?"
"Neither of you were present at the meeting today. You know, it's an offense to skip a UDA meeting without credible excuses." Xia indifferently spoke, her tone containing a certain coldness in it.
"Is that so? Haha!" Jacob laughed out loud without a care in the world, earning him some awkward glares.
"According to the rule, a representative from each house must be present. irrespective of such individual's position in the family. And I assure you, a trusted friend was present." Jacob calmly spoke with a hint of sarcasm. Furrowing her brows xia stared at him for a while, before averting her gaze.
"Am sure you've already been informed about today's outcome from your 'trusted friend'." Xia gestured taking her seat.
"I don't approve and you shouldn't also." Jacob sternly said his playing attitude changing into a more serious one.
"Grumpy as always old man." Xia playfully chuckled, with a mischievous smirk tugging on the side of her lips.
"I too don't approve."
"You don't?"
"Of course not. I may be ambitious but not mad. Bryce is clearly up to something, am not sure what but it's going to be big."
"Then stop him before he has his way. You and Marcus have the power to do so." Alex interjected with a frown.
"Unfortunately I can't." She shook her head.
"What do you mean can't? It's either you won't or not interested. Tsk~ so much for justice equality amongst all." Alex scoffed in disdain expressing his annoyance.
"Don't get cocky with me Alex, I have the power to behead you without thinking twice." Though playful her voice was cold, and alex could tell that wasn't just mere words but a threat.
"Forgive him, he can be a little overwhelmed sometimes." Jacob apologized.
"Anyways as I was saying.. I can't stop him, at least not alone because Marcus is on his side. And I don't mean his seeing the good in everyone personality, but a much sinister one." Xia frowned, causing both Alex and Jacob face to widen a bit at this declaration.
"Are you for sure miss xia? Such powerful altercation would cause an uprise in the chain of power." Knowing xia too well, jacob knew she wouldn't make such a bold altercation based on assumptions. She was an independent and perceptive fierce woman, that wouldn't just make assumptions.
"Am certain those two have definitely formed an allegiance that's why I need your help."
