Chapter 17 - Trouble: Iron Grade Monster!

In that moment, he felt a great force grip his neck tightly and seven sharp needles penetrating his flesh.

A sudden chill was then felt as his neck was starting to go numb almost immediately.

His mind suddenly turned blank. He knew he was in trouble this time.

He was stronger than the beast, that was a fact he knew and even the beast was aware of but what was this helplessness he was feeling?

In one stroke, he unsheathed his large blade and sliced the head of the snake clean from its body.

Miles recalled the information about the Threadserpent's poison. But he didn't hear anything that has to do with an immediately cure.

Suddenly he thought of something. "What if I Absorb the genetic nutrient within the poison?

Instantly, Miles closed his eyes and focused his cells, especially the one on his neck. Suddenly, he could see a dark-violet like fog mixing together with his blood stream as his white blood cells tried to fight and defend against the intruder they kept dying at a rapid pace, even making the poison stronger in the process.

"Absorb!"

Miles roared in his mind and immediately, his cells seemed to have received some ultimate command.

They erupted with a massive suction force that rumbled through Miles's spine! In the next second, the dark purplish poison was drained dry until it turned into just ordinary mineral fluid within him, contributing water to hydrate his flesh.

"Phew, that was close."

Miles wiped clean his sweaty face and was still a bit scared. It seemed he had been a little to overconfident. Maybe it would have been a good idea to wait till he becomes a super Soldier before coming to the dimensional zone.

Not wasting time, he grabbed the body of the snake and immediately activated his absorption talent to the limit. This time, he didn't bother to hold back.

His cells suddenly became agitated as they formed togethwr to form thousands of tendrils on Miles palm, digging through the body of the Threadserpent. They then erupted with suction forcet that dried up the body of the Threadserpent in seconds, disintegrated to ashes without a single flesh left.

Miles was at first stunned. He didn't expect the body to disintegrate just like that.

Luckily he had been cautious when the Greenscale Reavers attacked. Otherwise things might not be as simply as now.

Warm currents flowed through every corners of his body. His bones felt refreshed and his muscles, flesh and veins became even stronger.

[Nuclear Pulse; 85%]

Becoming even more cautious he continued forwards. One crossbow in one hand while the Machete in his second hand. He didn't want to take any chances this time.

...

Helixor city. A city of massive wealth, intense luxury and a majestic views.

Skyscrapers could be seen in every corner of the city with glowing holographic neon billboards.

Through the transparent floor, one could even see multiple Hellscrapers underneath the ground. (Skyscrapers turned upside down then built into the ground)

The streets filled with people dressed in expensive outfit and high level combat suits tens of times more expensive than Miles'.

At the center of the city was the statue of the Mayor. He looked like a middle aged pot bellied man but the energy waves rippling from the statue was enough to make an ordinary person bow in submission.

It was definitely a glorious city.

Brighton Hotel.

One of the most expensive hotels in Helixor city.

Presidential room 5, a young 16 year old girl sat on the luxurious couch in the living room part of the place. The girl was actually very pretty with eyes glowing like that of a star and her face, so smooth there was barely a wrinkle there. She was the perfect ebony skinned beauty.

Seated across from her was a middle-aged man wearing a well ironed suit.

"Are you sure you don't want to leave the city yet?"

The man in suit suddenly asked.

The ebony beauty remained silent for a while as she pondered for a second. It was obvious she was hesitant about leaving the city.

After a few seconds she nodded her head firmly. "I need to make things clear up with him first before I leave."

"You do know this will delay your Practice for a few days right?"

The young woman squirmed slightly but didn't say anything.

The young man sighed. "Your B-rank Ice manipulation talent is impressive and more suited for our Academy. Otherwise I definitely won't be in this backwater city to recruit you."

"Alright, I will give you three days to resolve your matters first, then I will take you to the academy where you will practice and get stronger.

"Mm." The girl hummed in response.

...

Miles explored even further in the forest. He had killed quite a few minor animals along the way like spiders, ants, Blood-sucking mosquitoes and frogs but they were simply too weak they only boosted the Nuclear pulse development speed by 5 percent. They strayed so close to the safe zone cause deeper within the zone were monsters that were more dangerous.

Currently, he had climbed up to a tree and was munching on a dried peppered beef.

All of a sudden, Miles's actions froze and he immediately drew his Machete and his Crossbow.

His eyes immediately locked onto the grass beneath the tree nearby.

His breathing steadied, as he peered at the grass beneath him.

"Bang!"

Suddenly, a hideous monster jumped out of the forest. Its beady eyes rolled around and then became fixated entirely on Miles.

The monster has the shape of a rat, but it was extremely huge, standing at almost two meters, its body bulging with thick muscles but there was no fur in its skin. Its teeth sharp and it's claws even sharper.

Miles's eyes twitched once he saw the beast.

It was actually a real iron grade monster!

This meant that it was an entire realm higher than Miles's strength. The situation isn't looking too good for him at the moment.
