Chapter 13 - Going Hunting

Miles shot the woman a murderous look before choosing to ignore her.

Such a narrow-minded woman was naturally worth nothing to fuss about.

"Excuse me, mister. Are you here to buy or sell?" Helena asked politely, secretly perplexed.

Miles was covered in wounds, which meant that he had most likely just returned from a battle. But he was not carrying any spoils with him. If that was the case, he was probably not here to sell materials. As for purchasing power…

He didn't seem like he had any money to spare at the moment.

It would seem that the first Sales assistant was in fact, a good judge of character.

Miles couldn't help but glanced at Helena for a few seconds. Even with the ordinary office outfit and no make up, she was particularly beautiful. Her eyes deep blue like an ocean and her figure particularly seductive.

Just when Helena was feeling slightly uncomfortable, Miles shook his head and got down to business. "Do you take these?" Miles took out the four vials of the F-tier strengthening serum.

The serum was a pale red color, and the vials were only about the size of his index finger. One simply needed to examine the official stamp on the label to know whether or not it was the real deal.

Their shop did not trade with drugs, but the F-tier strengthening serum was an essential item for beginners. People are looking to rush items like this.

One look was enough for Helena to tell that they were real.

This looked like a great business opportunity, too great to let slip just because of prejudice and innuendo.

Helena caught her breath. "We do! We do!"

She picked up one of the vials and examined it in the fashion of an expert. "Here in our store, we buy these at a 20% discount of the market price. That'll be 32,000 credits for four!"

Once this purchase was completed, she could earn a commission of three hundred. What fortuitous fortune!

Miles nodded, surveying the products around the store and said.

"One T2 combat suit, one T1 Saber, a crossbow with fifty arrows, a combat bag pack, and an outdoor utensil set!"

There were so few elites in the entire Rusthaven that most of them ordinary folk who would never choose to purchase something of such high quality, such as the T2 Genetic combat suit.

"Alright. Please provide the size that you want!"

"…175!" Miles looked at his scrawny body, managing to crack a bitter smile.

That's right, Morgana was a head taller than him!

Right now, he was only 1.75meters tall and skinny.

If it weren't for the corpse he had devoured, he would have been more bony that this.

Once he was done with all these, it looked like the time was nigh to work hard and develop his body.

"Great!" Helen's cute eyes widened in happiness as she hurried around the store, bringing a T2 combat suit for Miles to try on, then picking up other things he had requested.

Miles selected the items skillfully, snapping up everything up he needed, and refusing anything that Helena was trying to trick him into buying. He didn't n it need them at the moment.

In the end, he spent 30,000 at the store, pocketing only the remaining 2,000 credits in his account.

"Sir, if you wish to come again, you'll be treated as our regular. We can give you a discount for any transaction over 10,000 credits. This is my communicator's number. You can add me!" Helena said.

Miles nodded happily. It would be very convenient to do business with familiar people.

There were very few contacts on his communicator, only about twenty or thirty people, with most of them his schoolmates. But it also kept things clean.

After that, Miles holo-watch to vibrate only and started changing into his new T2 combat suit.

The suit was seamless—no zippers, fasteners, or visible stitching—and its texture was smooth, almost soft, yet was extremely resilient. It moved with him like a second skin, hugging his frame without constricting, offering complete freedom. Jet-black with a faint, natural sheen, the fabric absorbed light rather than reflected it, giving it a subtle, ghost-like aura.

Miles flexed his fingers, marveling at how the suit was highly developed. It was like wearimv a swimsuit to him but it was way more than just an ordinary swim suit.

He immediately armed it with the saber, and checked himself out in the dressing room mirror.

He simply looked outstanding.

After a few seconds of admiring himself, he left the store with his brand new bow and arrow strapped to his back.

Along the way, Miles could sense the attention that his new suit was drawing.

On a hot day in September, the advanced suit was built to regulate ones temperature perfectly and was fireproof as well as water proof. It could even recycle ones body sweat into oxygen and drinkable water as long as there's sun to power the suit and the wearer powering the suit from moving too.

The greyish-green camouflage of the suit was a protective color for the wilderness, which was exactly the thing that made him stand out like a sore thumb.

His young face might have looked unfledged, but the expression on his face was hardened; his sharp eyes darting about for the slightest sign of danger.

The crossbow at his waist, the blade strapped to his waist and the arrows hidden inside his combat backpack represented absolute power but, at the same time, was also a symbol of money.

Miles ignored the strange looks he was getting and flagged down a Sky Cruiser. "Go to the nearest Wilderness Station."

...

The distance from Whitehaven district to the wilderness was too far as Rusthaven and Whitehaven were at the edge of the city and closer to wilderness than other districts in Helixor city.

As the vehicle moved, Miles closed his eyes to contemplate and figure oht the true extent of his abilities. "Status!"
