Back in his room, Alvin took a quick glance at Charles. Charles was doing his cultivation. Indeed, Charles was the most hardworking person he ever met. Charles would spend most of his time doing cultivation and improving himself.
Alvin put down his bag and sat on the chair. Although he had the storage ring with him, he would still use his bag to carry the book. After all, it was a cloud item. Alvin didn't want others to know about it.
Sitting on the chair, Alvin was thinking about the final exam. According to teacher Elias, there were two parts of the exam.
The first part was the individual test. Every student would fight with a third grade student. Of course, the academy knew that it was not fair for a 1st grade student to fight with a third grade student. Therefore, the third grade student was limited to only using the same cloud energy level and number of cloud spells as the 1st grade student.
The academy wanted to let the first grade students know about the importance of the art of fighting. Then, the teacher would give grade for each student according to their performance.
Alvin was confident in this first part. As of now, he was able to cast his wind blade in 0.4 seconds. Due to his fast casting speed, he was able to use the powerful 'wind blade double'.
The second part of the exam was a 2 vs 2 among the 1st grade students. This part was to examine their teamwork.
The exam was around the corner. Yet, Alvin hadn't found his teammate because he was busy with his cloud cultivation. Not only that, even though he performed well in his fight with James and Emily, other still see him as a elementless. No one wanted to take risk and team up with him.
Just as he thought about this, Charles finished his cultivation.
"Charles, for the final exam, you got your teammate already? "
"Ya" Charles said with a smile.
"Who?" Alvin asked. Alvin was curious about it, because Charles spent most of his time doing cultivation. He never sees Charles spending time with other students, as if his life was only about level up and cloud spells.
Of course, it was the same for Alvin. Alvin spent most of his time learning and doing cultivation.
"You" Charles said with a firm tone.
"Me?" Alvin pointed at himself.
"Of course it is you. You are the best in the 1st grade. Others didn't know that, but I know. Why? You find yourself a teammate already?"
Hearing that, Alvin smiled brightly.
"Nope. I was going to ask you to be on the same team with me"
"Nice." Charles grinned. Then, they exchanged a fist bump.
Alvin was happy that he teamed up with Charles. Not because Charles was good at cloud level. Although both of them were among the top 5 in the 1st grade student, that wasn't the reason he wanted to team up with Charles. The actual reason was they had been through hardship together and Alvin knew that he could trust Charles. Of course, Charles also trust Alvin.
Now, the average cloud level among their peers was level 12. As for them, Alvin was at the cloud level of 15. Charles was at cloud level of 14.
...
One week later. Today was their final exam day.
Alvin and Charles walked into the fighting hall. This was his second time in this fighting hall. The last time he entered this fighting hall was due to the duel with James and Emily.
As Alvin entered the hall, he was glancing around. There were a lot of students waiting inside the fighting hall. Teachers were sitting in one row. Teacher Elias was sitting along with the other teachers. The exam was going to start soon.
Other than 1st grade student, there were quite a lot of 3rd grade students. They were here to fight with 1st grade student.
The 1st grade student were standing together, while 3rd grade student were standing in another group. However, Alvin noticed that Emily was standing in the 3rd grade group. Emily was talking to William. William was her boyfriend, a 3rd grade student.
William looked confident and a little arogant. That was because he was the top one among the 3rd grade student.
"Here he is" Emily gestured at Alvin.
Alvin looked at Emily. He noticed her action because Emily didn't even try to hide it.
"Don't worry, he bullied you in the duel. I bully him in his final exam." William sneered, staring at Alvin.
"Thank you my love."
"As simple as ABC. He was just a elementless. Even if I have to limit myself to the same cloud level as him, with the element, my cloud spell will be more powerful than him."
All the other students were murmuring about Alvin.
"Sad, Alvin is going to have low marks for his final exam"
"Ya, the William is the top one from 3rd grade"
"Alvin asked for it. Emily was angry when she was defeated by the Alvin "
"Haha. I think Alvin will lose badly."
"Ya, this Alvin took our usage of the cultivation room. I hope that William can give him a lesson."
Most of knight class and support class students were expecting Alvin to lose.
Some of the mage class students tried to avoid any contact with Alvin because they were afraid of the William. Only one or two mage class students were brave enough to say hi to Alvin.
"Childish" Hearing what Emily said, Alvin chuckled. Then, Alvin and Charles walked to their seats.
In his life, he tried his best to avoid such low and toxic people. Yet, due to the exam, he still had to deal with them. Fortunately, he just needed to deal with them for one day, not everyday.
After waiting for 15 minutes, Alvin heard Mr Christopher's voice. He raised his head and saw Mr Christopher on stage, wearing a nice robe.
Mr Christopher was coughing, signaling everyone to be quiet.
