Hello, dear possible readers!
Before diving into this story, I want to give you a fair warning. Chapters may contain a lot of nothing and info dumps.
It does not have the generic plot lines, if you might be worried about it. I originally planned to write a smut series, but something happened, and now the series is an eastern fantasy where western fantasy elements and world exist alongside it. There are African roots and native American/aboriginal roots embedded in the series also.
The series would get better as the story progresses, especially after chapter 20~, as I've been learning and improving along the drafting process.
Basis of Inspiration
This novel draws inspiration from various mythologies, series, and legends, with the below being an overview of the frameworks that were used throughout the story.
The Lovecraftian mythos, created by H.P. Lovecraft with the cosmic horror and ancient, powerful entities, beings existing beyond mortal comprehension and madness.
Spiritualism revolves around the relationship between humans and the divine, creation, and the afterlife, including the natural elements and tribal traditions.
These further include ancient Asian tales with bases on the path to enlightenment and path to liberation.
This series is a work of fiction, though its intended to reflect real-life situations to base realism on what I consider fantasy, so please avoid interpreting it through the lens of relative-world issues.
The story further draws inspiration from Bloodborne, Elden Ring, and Dark Souls in general, with influences from Lord of the MĂşveries and various other series.
Expect themes of gore, violence, crime, and a protagonist who doesn't conform to the typical "main character" mold. The world-building is deliberately unusual and filled with irregularities, as it exists in my personal fantasy realm using...
Additionally, the story contains sensitive topics such as racism, slavery, and other societal issues. While there may be references to Harem dynamics, there is no actual Harem present.
This is a unique, unconventional fantasy, so please proceed with caution and an open mind.
And lastly, there is no system, plot armour, or special gift or ability.
Update Schedule
There's no fixed update schedule, as this is a side hobby alongside college. I'll try to upload consistently, aiming for 7-10 chapters a week, but it'll increase after I sort things out.
