Max waited for him to finish reading which didn't take long. Dimitri handed the file back moving to sit at his desk firing up his computer. He clicked the mouse a few times then turned the computer so Max could see the screen. "Over the years I have been looking into where Lily's Guardian family might have hidden. She told me the trees were different and the smells were wet, but strong. That only left a few places most werewolves wouldn't look for a pack that's hiding. This map shows all the places I've looked personally," Dimitri explained as Max looked the map over.
Dimitri had made it his mission to find her family hoping to set her free, but she found her own way to be free. Max straightened saying, "When did you start?" "A year after I met her. She left to finish her research journal and I wanted to give her something to show her I was serious about her," Dimitri said watching Max's expression he could tell Max was surprised by his actions. "It looks like you have two more places you need to look one is on the furthest side of wolf territory next to the old witch borders. Last I checked your Clan isn't on good terms with them. This other one is in a "no mans land" area few have traveled in the north. I can tell you there isn't sh*t in that area near the old witch's territory. I've patrolled there several times and never seen any signs of a pack. Its' been abandon for decades now," Max said checking off one of the markers on the map.
"Then we should head to this place furthest north into "no mans land". They may be there for safe keeping. She said her pack was attacked right as she was transported here. The goddess must have made an escape door at the last minute so Lily could get away. We need to go tell Lily all this so we can make a plan to check this place out," Dimitri said reaching for the file Max set back down on his desk and his laptop.
"She needs to heal first. Lets wait a couple of days to give this information. The last thing we need to do is stress her out. Lets call it a night," Max said ready to get back to Lily. Dimitri nods looking at the clock seeing they'd been talking for a couple hours. Heading back to her room in silence they both were lost in their own thoughts. Max's phone rang just outside her room so he hung back as Dimitri entered. Lily was asleep lightly snoozing away when Dimitri took the chair he was in earlier.
Reaching for her hand he held it stroking his thumb along her palm. Lily. Soon we'll hopefully have some answers for you. Dimitri thought getting comfortable in his chair knowing he'd probably be sleeping there. Max walked in walking over to his chair taking her other hand, "You know I'm still not okay with sharing her?"
"She's the one who decides. We're just along for the ride," Dimitri said leaning his head back closing his eyes as his breathing slowly changes. Max watched his mate sleep as his wolf still felt on guard with Dimitri. We need to do something about him.
