Not wanting to repeat history Dimitri tries to think of a sensible way to approach her about his feelings. He knew she was attracted to him, but hearing that she was now mated didn't help to encourage his suit. Hearing foot steps make there way up the stairs to the balcony he was at set him on high alert thinking his father or mother would be there to lecture him about his behavior.
It turned out to be Trinee and she had a very disappointed look on her face. "I didn't know, by the way." Trinee started of with looking him in the eyes," If I had I would have warned you." He tried not to think to hard even though he already was as he gripped the railing even tighter. "I know you didn't you've been a very faithful subordinate as well as a fine physician. I would never doubt you like that," Dimitri said letting the railing go to face her.
"She's special, D. Don't give up on her yet, "Trinee says patting him on the arm then walking back down the stairs. He knew she was special, but he wasn't sure how. Walking back to her room he thought about how he explain his actions, when one of my fathers wh*res came walking up to him trying to latch on to him, "Come on, D. Come and play with me. We Always have so much fun."
He pushed her away continuing on his way not wanting to deal with this woman. She reached for his arm saying, "Hey! Why are you being this way?" he turns to face her a murderous look on his face as he says in a low voice, "Just because I f*cked you out of need doesn't make you my woman. So leave me alone." She looked deeply offended as she scoffed stomping her heals the opposite way he was heading.
When he turned the corner to go to Lily's room he bumped into someone almost knocking them over. He reaches out catch the person pulling them close the scent of exotic flowers filling his nose. Lily was almost knocked to the floor, but was now leaning her body against Dimitri's, their faces inches apart. His scent filled her nose stimulating her senses causing her body to react to him. The very thought of being skin to skin with this man was so appealing she couldn't figure out why when she was mated to Max.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to run into you. I meant to find you just not quite like that. Umm can you let me go?" Lily asked trying to distance herself a bit so her body would calm down. Dimitri let her go, but stayed close not wanting her to fall again. "I'm sorry I left like that. I'd like to explain. Can we head back to your room for some privacy?" he asked. "Sure."
Lily kept feeling light headed as they made their way back to her room. The minute she opened the door her legs felt very numb. She went to take one more step and couldn't her mind fogging over and her body going numb. "Lily? Lily!" Dimitri yelled catching her as she passes out.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A bright light blinded Lily as she was directed into an open meadow in what looked like the middle of Spring time. A gazebo with vines and flowers growing around it sat next to a lake where a woman sat sipping what looked to be tea. Lily walks over to her wondering who she was. As she approached she could see the woman wasn't a normal person as she had a glow and grace about her that most people could never possess.
Stopping at the entrance to the gazebo Lily could finally make out details of the woman in front of her. Ironically she looked similar to herself except for the eyes they were a different shade then Lily's. The woman looked up at her when she stopped seeming very pleased to see her,"I know this must seem strange to you, but I promise over time you will understand it all."
"How is this going to make sense? I don't even know who you are," Lily said wondering who this woman was as she got the feeling they've met before. The woman smiled at her words sipping her tea again be fore saying, "Oh you know me. It's just been almost 35 years since you seen me. I had hoped to tell you sooner, but the prophecy wouldn't allow for it."
"Prophecy? What do you mean? Who exactly are you?" Lily asked a bit impatiently. The woman stood up moving close to Lily standing right in front of her. She had a very loving smile on her face as she touched Lily on the cheek affectionately. "My child I am so sorry it has taken this long for us to meet. I know this might be strange, but it is completely true." The woman began saying as she continued, "My name is Selene Diane Wolfsblood, I am the Goddess of the Moon and your mother."
