As she made louder groaning sounds Max picks her up moving her to a bed in the other room. She started breaking out into a cold sweat as loud cracking noise came from her body. "Don't fight it. It'll only make it worse. Breath try to keep calm. I'm right here," max said sitting next to her on the bed as she twist and turned flexing when her body shifted or changed. "ahh! F*ck this hurts! Is it always this way?!" Lily shouts moving to her hands and knees.
Her body looked leaner now with strips on her sides, arms, and face. She pulled her pants down trying to get them off. He helped pulling them the rest of the way as two tails sprung from her back and two ears formed on top of her head. *What in the Goddess is happening to her?* he thought as her nails turned into claws and her teeth seemed to be sharper. She sat up fast staring wide eyed at the ceiling before collapsing on the bed panting with exhaustion.
Moving her hair which had grown longer so he could see her face there as two black stripes on each cheek. Her face was still hers, but more mature and elegant with high cheek bones and soft lines. Her eyes fluttered open revealing a very different eye color that hasn't been seen or heard of in centuries. Deep blue with green flakes and almond round eyes gave her a very ethereal appearance and her hair was now the same color as his. "Wha...what happened?" she asked staring at him hoping for an answer. "You changed. I'm just not sure....I mean this is ...new. Come with me can you stand?" He said trying to process what he was seeing. Lily moved to stand up, but leaned back not realizing her tails were weighing her down. "What the f*ck are those? I have tails?! What else is there?" She whispered scared to look.
"I'm already seeing it and I'm still trying to understand. You shifted just not how I expected. Just look," Max said taking her to a mirror on the wall. Lily took a moment examining herself shocked at her appearance. "Has this happened before?" she asked. Max was unsure of the answer but said, "I'm not sure, but I would like to find out." Turning around she could see her tails and they were the same color as her hair. "Wow, I've only read about this in old books about our history. I just didn't think it would happen to me," she said turning to face him. "Your not afraid..of me are you?"
"I'm not sure what I feel, but I know its you and that's what matters. If you want you can stay here for a couple of days to see if you change back. If not then we'll have to tell mom and dad," He said wrapping his arms around her. She now stood as tall as him her ears flicking with nervousness. "Okay, but.....hmmm what are you doing?" she asked feeling my hands move to touch her tails. Pulling back Max said, "Sorry I....ah..was curious about your tails."
She moved the so they were right next to us. "Try touching them here. Where you were going seems to be ultra sensitive." He nodded touch the ends feeling how soft her fur was. Lily was smiling at him as he pet her tails thinking how cute he seemed. Letting them lay back down she moved in closer to him wrapping her arms around his waist hold him tight. "Thank you for not being scared of me. I'm not sure how I'd deal with that. The Goddess made me this way for a reason and I want to find out what. Maybe I can sneak into my lab and check some of the books I have there. No one goes there anyways," Lily said talking into his chest.
"Maybe. For now lets get some rest seeing as we both have had a long day," He said stirring them back to the bed. They changed the sheets and collapsed on the bed curling into each other. Laying her tails over their legs like a blanket made it easy to stay warm. Max kissed her cheek as they both fell into a deep sleep.

"Your Majesty we are happy that terms could be made for the betterment of our kingdoms," said the King of the Dragon Clan on a conference call, "When will she be ready? I know my son has been hoping for this arrangement." The Alpha King of Wolves says, "I will be informing her of the arrangements today she should be able to come to you in a day or two. I'll have an escort drop her off."
"Good, good. The contracts will be sent to you immediately. Thank you for your time," the dragon Alpha said hanging up. leaning back in his chair he thinks to himself, *Well that's one problem dealt with. Now to prepare Max for his future position.*
He tried to call him but got no answer. Then he tried to mind link him and he found him asleep. Max, Max wake up. We need to talk. Come to my office asap. Cutting the link not waiting for a reply. Moving to the old safe behind the case next to his desk opening it with his blood revealing books and old artifacts. Pulling out the Alpha's Book and the Alpha's pendant similar tot he one Lily had.
Having seen it scared him as they were the only family that could dethrone them. History has wiped the bloodline so for all he knew the necklace was a fake. Lily's previous pack must have been supporters of that bloodline hoping to find its last descendants. If any were left they must have perished in the massacre several years ago. However with that pendant coming up he had doubts about the bloodline being wiped out.
