(UNWANTED GUEST)

"What are you doing in my room?" Lexi asked, gripping her towel tightly around her body. She was surprised to see Jameson sitting on her bed, a sly grin spreading across his face.

"To see you, what else?" he replied, his eyes sparkling with amusement.

Lexi's face flushed with embarrassment. "You can't just sneak in here! I need privacy," she protested, trying to cover herself up more.

Jameson chuckled. "I guess you've already forgotten that we're married. I own all of this," he said, his voice low and husky.

Lexi rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Turn around, I need to wear my pajamas," she said, trying to sound stern.

Jameson raised an eyebrow.

"What's the big deal? I've seen you naked before," he teased.

"When" she asked.

"That night you were drunk" he smirk.

Lexi's face grew even redder. "That's not the point! You can't just barge in here and expect me to be okay with it, You are like a pervert" she snapped.

Jameson shrugged. "Call me whatever you want. I'm not leaving until you're ready for bed," he said, his eyes glinting with mischief.

Lexi huffed and picked up her pajamas from the bed.

"I'll just change in the closet then," she said, trying to sound dignified.

Jameson grinned. "I'll turn my back, you don't have to go," he said, his voice softening.

Lexi smiled slightly and began to change into her pajamas. Jameson turned his back, but she could sense his eyes on her. She felt a flutter in her chest, but tried to brush it off.

When she was done changing, Jameson turned around and smiled at her.

"You look beautiful," he said, his eyes roaming over her body.

Lexi blushed and looked away. "Thanks," she muttered. She climb on the bed beside him.

Jameson move over to her and started massaging her hand and leg gently.

"You should relax your body and enjoy," he said, his voice soothing.

At first, Lexi was tense, but as Jameson's hands worked their magic, she started to relax. She closed her eyes and let out a sigh of contentment.

After a while, Jameson said, "You're really tense. I think you need to relax more." He added.

Soon she felt asleep, Jameson stood up and went to her drawer, he bring out the pill and took his picture on her phone, after that, he return it and move to her bed.

"Goodnight sweetheart" he said and peck her forehead before walking out of the room.

He got to his room and immediately brought out his laptop to search about the pill. He closed his eyes and prayed internally, hoping that it wouldn't be something serious. He had been worried sick about Lexi and the pain she had been experiencing. He didn't want it to be anything that would put her health at risk.

As he searched online, he sighed in relief when he saw that the pills weren't as serious as he had thought. However, he also learned that taking large amounts of it could be dangerous to one's health and may cause serious problems, such as addiction, which could lead to damage to internal organs.

But the amount Lexi had taken hadn't reached that extent, thank God. He felt a wave of relief wash over him, but he knew he couldn't relax yet. He had to make sure Lexi stopped taking the pills altogether. He couldn't bear the thought of her experiencing any more pain or harm.

He decided that he would do everything possible to stop her from taking the pills. He would talk to her, reason with her, and make sure she understood the risks involved. He would also make sure she got the proper medical attention she needed to manage her pain. But for now, he will make sure the pain didn't come, he will now allow her to do anything that could stress her which can cause pain. He can even start to give her massage every night if that will help.

THE NEXT DAY

BARRISTER LADEN OFFICE

"You are both welcome," Barrister Leden said with a warm smile as Jameson and Lexi entered his office.

"I have been expecting you." He added while hugging them both.

Jameson and Lexi bowed respectfully as they took seats opposite the barrister.

"You both won't know how glad I am to see you together," Barrister Leden said, his eyes twinkling with delight. "I am so happy, and I know your grandparents are too."

"Thank you very much, sir," Jameson replied, his voice filled with gratitude.

"Are you ready to see what they have prepared for you?" Barrister Leden asked.

Jameson and Lexi nodded in unison, their curiosity piqued. Barrister Leden smiled and brought out a box from his desk drawer.

"Your grandparents love you more than your real parents," he said, his voice filled with emotion. "They want an easy life for you both."

Jameson and Lexi exchanged a glance, their eyes wide with wonder. Barrister Leden opened the box, revealing a stack of documents and a small key.

"Your grandparents built a company for you," he announced, his voice filled with pride. "It's a car manufacturing company, and I am impressed to tell you that it's one of the best in the world, with a net worth of 957 billion dollars. We are moving towards a trillion soon."

Jameson and Lexi's eyes widened in shock as they stared at each other.

"What?" Lexi asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"It's JaLex Company," Barrister Leden said, a smile spreading across his face. "The name was brought out of both of your names. You are going to be co-CEOs of the company, Jameson can take over after his graduation from college, which is just a few months away." He said.

Jameson and Lexi looked at each other, their minds reeling with the enormity of what they had just been told.

"All this for us?" Lexi asked, her voice filled with disbelief.

"I haven't given you all yet," Barrister Leden said with a chuckle.

"This is an island your grandparents bought for you. They want you to build your family house there. You just have to tell me how you want it, and we'll start working on it immediately." He said while showing them the picture.

Jameson's eyes widened as he looked at the beautiful island.

"We will have to think about that first" he said.

"Sure, just tell me when you are both ready" he said.

"What about his sister then?" Lexi asked curiously while looking at Jameson.

"Trust me, she has hers, which will be given to her after her marriage."Barrister Leden chuckled.

Jameson and Lexi exchanged a glance, their minds reeling with the enormity of what they had just been told. They thanked Barrister Leden and left the office, still in disbelief.

Jameson stopped in the school parking lot, and they both smiled at each other, still in disbelief about their newfound wealth. They hadn't said a word to each other, but the excitement was palpable.

As they got out of the car, people around them started whispering and staring. Jameson and Lexi didn't pay them any mind, too caught up in their own little bubble.

"We should eat lunch together today," Jameson said, his eyes sparkling with enthusiasm.

"Sure, I'd love that," Lexi replied, her smile growing wider.

"Then I'll come to you," Jameson said, before turning and walking away.

Lexi watched him go, feeling a sense of happiness she hadn't felt in a long time. She walked through the corridor to her class, lost in thought, when she noticed someone following her. She frowned, wondering who it could be, and turned to see Wayne behind her.

"What do you want now?" she asked, her tone firm.

Wayne looked taken aback by her directness, but then his expression changed, and he said, "I'm sorry."

Lexi raised an eyebrow, surprised by his sudden apology. "I know I've been a jerk lately, and I deeply regret it. Can we go back to being friends?" he asked, his eyes pleading.

Lexi was taken aback by his sincerity. She hadn't expected Wayne to apologize, especially not after all the times he had been a jerk to her.

"I'll think about it," she said finally, and turned to leave.

Wayne watched her go, a smile spreading across his face. He had a plan, and it didn't involve being just friends with Lexi. He wanted to get close to her, make her fall in love with him, and prove to her that Jameson wasn't worth her love.

"Where are you going? I'm still talking to you!" Mrs. Thompson yelled after her husband, her voice echoing through the hallway.

"Maria, not today. Why can't you leave me alone?" Mr. Thompson groaned, his voice laced with frustration.

"Are you just going to watch without doing anything? See the wealth they've acquired already? You should post that article, tint her image, do this for your daughter!" Mrs. Thompson said, her voice rising in anger.

"Enough, Maria! We should leave this girl alone. She's faced a lot, don't you think it's about time you let her be? I won't post that article about her mother, I won't!" Mr. Thompson snapped, his face red with anger.

"I know you still love her mother, I know you prefer her. We've been in love since college, but your parents married her to you, and you forgot about me and fell in love with her. History is repeating itself again with our kids, and you won't do anything about it!" Mrs. Thompson yelled, her eyes blazing with jealousy.

"Stop bringing up the past!" Mr. Thompson snapped, his voice loud and firm. He turned and walked away, slamming the door behind him.

"Bastard!" Mrs. Thompson yelled, her face contorted in anger. She scattered her hair, her body shaking with rage. She hadn't been okay since she heard the news about their property.

As she stood there, seething with anger, she couldn't help but think about the past. She and Mr. Thompson had been in love since college, she was pregnant with Victoria then, but his parents had arranged for him to marry a rich daughter, Lexi's mother. He promise to come for her to love her, but he didn't, he fell in love with Lexi's mum. She had always felt like she was living in her shadow, and now, with Jameson and Lexi's newfound wealth, and her daughter getting nothing she felt like history was repeating itself.

She couldn't bear the thought of it. She couldn't bear the thought of her daughter being replaced, of being forgotten. She needed to do something, anything, to make sure that didn't happen.

"Good afternoon," Janelle greeted, trying to sound cheerful as she sat down opposite Zayne in the library. She had received a text from him earlier, asking her to meet him here, and she had arrived promptly, expecting their usual friendly banter. But as soon as she saw Zayne's face, she knew something was off. He wasn't smiling, and his eyes seemed distant.

"Hey, let's start," he said curtly, not even looking up from the books spread out before him.

Janelle felt a pang of disappointment. This wasn't the Zayne she knew - the one who always greeted her with a warm smile and a joke. She tried to shake off the feeling and focus on the study session, but she couldn't help sneaking glances at Zayne's face, wondering what was wrong.

As the session progressed, Janelle found herself struggling to concentrate. Zayne's strict tone and lack of enthusiasm were unnerving, and she kept staring at his face, trying to read his expression.

"You're not paying attention to me," Zayne's voice snapped, making her jump.

"Sorry about that," she muttered, feeling a twinge of embarrassment.

But Zayne just continued teaching, his voice firm and detached. Janelle tried to focus, but her mind kept wandering back to Zayne's strange behavior. What was going on with him? Why was he being so cold and distant?

As the session drew to a close, Zayne suddenly stood up, his eyes still fixed on the books.

"Let's call it a day. I can see your mind is not with me. We'll meet here tomorrow, same time."

Janelle watched in dismay as he packed up his things and left without even sparing her a glance. She remained seated, feeling stunned and confused.

What had just happened? Where was the cheerful, friendly Zayne she knew? The one that always call her Shorties and tease her till she couldn't take it anymore.

As she sat there, trying to make sense of the strange encounter, Janelle realized that she didn't like this new side of Zayne. She wanted the old Zayne back - the one who made her laugh and feel at ease.

Wayne had a smile on his face as he walked toward the cafeteria, feeling relieved and hopeful about his relationship with Lexi. They had finally made up, and he was eager to see her and start fresh.

As he approached the entrance, a girl suddenly bumped into him, almost falling to the ground. Wayne quickly caught her waist and pushed her back up, her head slamming into his chest. The girl's face turned bright red as she looked up at him, her eyes wide with embarrassment.

"You should always watch where you're going," Wayne said with a chuckle, trying to put her at ease. "You could have fallen down."

The girl refused to look up at him, her gaze fixed on the floor.

"Are you okay?" Wayne asked, starting to feel concerned.

But instead of answering, the girl thrust a card into his hand and quickly ran off. Wayne was taken aback, watching her go in confusion.

"What's wrong with her?" he chuckled to himself, shaking his head. He looked down at the card in his hand and opened it, curious about what it might say.

As he read the message inside, his eyes widened in surprise.

"Hi senior Wayne, I think I like you," the card read.

Wayne couldn't believe it. He had never seen this girl before, and yet she was confessing her feelings to him? He felt a mix of emotions - flattered, but also uncomfortable.

He put the card in his pocket and continued on to the cafeteria, lost in thought. He couldn't help but wonder who this girl was and why she had chosen to express her feelings in such a bold way.

As he sat down at his usual table, he couldn't help but glance around the room, wondering if he might see the mysterious girl again. But she was nowhere to be found.

Wayne shrugged it off and focused on his lunch.

"Are you looking for someone?" Gemma asked curiously as they ate at the cafeteria.

Lexi shook her head, trying to play it off. "No, what makes you ask?"

Gemma leaned in, her voice barely above a whisper. "Because you haven't touched your food and you keep looking at the door like someone is coming. Is it Jameson?"

Lexi's face grew hot as she tried to deny it, but before she could respond, Jameson and his friends entered the cafeteria. A smile spread across Lexi's face as she watched them approach.

The students around them began to murmur, some taking pictures and others staring in awe. Just as Jameson and his friends were about to reach Lexi's table, a loud voice called out.

"Jamie!"

All eyes turned to the entrance, where a beautiful lady stood, wearing a sexy dress that turned heads.

"Wow, who is she?" the students murmured. "She's so pretty!"

The lady walked confidently towards Jameson, a smile on her face.

"It's been so long, Jamie," she said, standing in front of him.

Jameson's eyes widened in shock.

"Mirabel?" He called.

The lady pouted, her full lips jutting out.

"Aren't you happy to see me?" She asked.

"Of course I am" Jameson said.

Jameson's face broke into a smile as he opened his arms, pulling Mirabel into a deep hug. Victoria watched with a frown, Lexi with confusion, and Wayne with shock.

As Jameson and Mirabel hugged, the cafeteria erupted into whispers and stares. Who was this woman, and what was her connection to Jameson?

Victoria was watching with a frown, Lexi was confused and Wayne was shocked.
