Chapter 26: The Confrontation

Lila and Sarah settled into a cozy booth at the café, sipping their drinks and discussing the chaos of the day. But Lila's mind was elsewhere, fixated on Eleanor.

"I'll be right back," Lila said, her voice determined. She made her way to the restroom, her heart pounding with anticipation.

Upon entering, she intentionally bumped into Eleanor, feigning surprise. "Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there," Lila said, her voice dripping with faux innocence.

Eleanor glared at her, anger flashing in her eyes. "Watch where you're going!" she snapped, attempting to push past Lila.

But Lila wasn't finished. "Oh, come on! It was just a little accident," she said, stepping in front of her. "You don't have to be so rude."

Eleanor, clearly irritated, tried to leave the restroom, but Lila grabbed her arm, pulling her back and slapped her. "Did I just slap you?" Lila asked innocently, her voice laced with mock concern.

"You did that on purpose!" Eleanor shouted, her face flushed with anger.

"Really? I didn't know I was capable of such a thing," Lila replied, a smirk playing on her lips. Without warning, she slapped her again, the sound echoing in the small space.

Eleanor, furious, lunged at Lila, grabbing her hair. "You think you can just hit me and get away with it?" she yelled.

Lila fought back, their struggle escalating into a chaotic brawl. The two women grappled, exchanging blows until Lila managed to gain the upper hand, leaving Eleanor with a swollen face.

Suddenly, Lila felt lightheaded and fainted, collapsing to the floor. A passerby rushed in, alarmed by the commotion, and called for help.

As the paramedics arrived, the weather outside shifted dramatically. Dark clouds rolled in, and rain began to pour, mirroring the chaos that had unfolded inside the café. The sound of thunder rumbled ominously, adding to the tension in the air.
