[ Chapter III (3): "THE ACCEPTANCE LETTERS" ]

Gryffindor Student Quinivir Darce is a proud diligent student, she having slight resemblance to her House Head and Deputy Headmistress — Minerva McGonagall. Both in appearance and in mannerism.

Except for the eye color which isn't green but instead black, Quinivir could be said to be an exact copy of the 22 year old Professor, but 10 years younger. One which she greatly flaunts to her year mates.

Especially to her friend group which consists of students all around the four houses. One that includes Mr. Charles Becker a snoozy, yet kind proud Slytherin brat.

A trusty and diligent Hufflepuff Student named Mr. Phineas McQueen, who loves plants, animals, and overall being lazy. And finally her best friend, a Ravenclaw Student named Ms. Mineta Krueger, she loves books, she loves studying, and is one of the most advanced in magic studies, but she lacks common senses sometimes which the other three balances — especially Charles, he loves messing with her.

[ "Hey, red-head. Past me that quill." ] So is the case right now, as all four of them are inside the office of the Deputy Headmistress busy writing the Acceptance Letters of Students — for the students who're supposedly gonna be their classmates in a month and a half.

[ "Shut up, Charles. You have hands don't you?!" ] In annoyance, the red-haired student named Mineta levitated one of the extra quills near her and shot it into the forehead of her friend — not hurting him, but instead slightly annoying the guy. [ "Yeah, well, you're closer so that's that." ] [ "Thanks by the way!" ]

All four student volunteers could be seen either lazing around like Phineas, and Quinivir who have already done their part and are just waiting for their friends. Phineas who's sleeping, having droll slightly come out of his mouth as he sleeps on the empty desk, and to Quinivir who's busy looking outside the window — at the empty quidditch field.

Charles and Mineta on the other hand could be seen not having finished yet, due to quarreling the most because of stupid reasons like: [ "Stop breathing, I can't focus!" ] [ "Don't smile!" ] [ "Hand me those ink!" ] [ "You have plenty right beside you!" ] [ "I want that!" ] [ "Christ lady, you are slow." ] [ "Shut up, idiot." ]

So on and so forth, at the point that they resemble a quarreling married wife and husband who have been married for 30 plus years. The great drama is at the point of being well-known throughout the school, and especially to their House Heads — which the Slytherin House Head just laughed at.

[ "I want to play Quidditch..." ] Quinivir on the other hand couldn't care much, as she instead reminisces of the time when she, and others play on the quidditch pitch — her riding on broom sticks and hitting people using a bladger, at the point of unconsciousness. [ "Hey, can't we ask Prof. McGonagall if we could play on the pitch." ]

[ "Yeah, well, you try that later lady." ] Replied Charles who have just finished writing all the Acceptance Letter on his end, a stack of envelopes right in front of all of them, gathered in the middle of the room, as he stretches extensively — flaunting like a peacock to the only person who haven't finished writing her letters yet. [ "But, that'll probably gonna take four more hours due to someone... Mineta, cough, Mineta." ]

[ "Show off..." ] Gritting her teeth, Mineta the proud Ravenclaw Student of Flitwick wrote as fast and as elegant as she could — and in no time she could be seen having finished writing. Crossing her arms in pride as she does so. [ "Alright, fourth-place you don't have to show off that much." ] Which was mocked.

[ "Y-you...!" ] For what felt like hours, both Mineta and Charles fought one another quarreling at the point of pointing their wands at one another — a sign of duel, declaration of war most definitely. That happens at least twice a week in this school.

[ "Shoot first red-head, I dare you." ] [ "Nah uh, you first." ] [ "No, you!" ] [ "Lower it, and apologize to me, you buffoon." ] [ "Never!" ]

Both ends was about to shoot a curse at one another, but was stopped mid-way by the door creaking open, as they immediately lowered their wands, hiding it under their dark robes.

[ "Professor!" ] All three of the awakened students immediately stood up, greeting the stern witch that entered the room. Her being taller than everyone present, due to her being of course, an adult. She looked around the room, and noticed that something was off. [ "What's happening here?" ]

In hearing that Mineta and Charles felt slightly guilty, the latter feeling less, with the two silently agreeing not to snitch one another out. None would want to clean out the cauldrons of Hogwarts again for a month, after all.

They both silently looked at Quinivir, and at the still sleeping Phineas, hoping that they don't snitch. The latter being most likely not too, but the former uncertain.

Please don't!

Both of them thought of the same thing at that moment, with the Gryffindor Student deciding to either trust her friends, or her House Head. She of course being a reckless lion chose the former.

[ "Nothing Professor, we're just discussing if we should ask you if we could use the quidditch pitch later on, you know... Please?" ]

Heart softening slightly in seeing her honest, but reckless student. McGonagall slowly lowers her vigilance and agrees to her, nodding as she does so. [ "Fine, you and your friends can take the Firebolts in my closet." ]

[ "But first, you four follow me. Grab all the letters as well, we'll be delivering all of those in the Headmaster's office." ]

Pulling out her wand, McGonagall the seasoned witch swings it slightly without any incantation, causing all the scattered envelopes in the middle of the room to gather neatly on top of one another — piling high up at the point of reaching the Deputy Headmistress' ceiling.

Under the amazed gaze of the three, plus the Hufflepuff Student who could be seen rubbing his eyes. The envelopes which are overall 881, split into four — 220 for each one of them, with the last envelope being left behind before ultimately deciding to go into the hands of the Gryffindor Student.

[ "Follow me." ]

Looking at one another, the four, especially the confused Hufflepuff agreed and silently followed the adult witch out of the office. All of them carrying a stack of envelopes that towers over them, but thankfully isn't as heavy as they expected.

On the corridors, they could see wizards and witches, and/or animals, some no-maj chatting away, or sleeping in their respective portraits — some even visiting the other portraits as they do so.

Quinivir who's excited about being able to wield a broom again, couldn't help but show her excitement both through her action and through her chatting with her other three classmates.

[ "I can't believe we'll be able to go and ride our brooms again, aren't you excited?!" ]

[ "Y-yeah..." ]

The other three is, they aren't quite a fan of it, with one, Phineas having fear of heights still enthusiastically talked to her. Even though his face is slightly growing paler by the second.

[ "But wait, Professor. How are we gonna be able to deliver all of these letters?" ]

[ "Owls?" ]

[ "Through the post office?" ]

[ "House Visit?" ]

The chatty witch theorized the most likely possible way, I mean, there are hundreds of letters here, if not thousands. So, what and how could they all deliver these letters when the school year starts a month and a half?

The three realized this as well, and deeply thought about it, chatting with one another as they also theorize, at the point of debate in the case of two.

[ "Has to be a house visit, yeah? Prof. Harp visited me last year, so that has to be it." ]

[ "Idiot, can't you see the quantities of these letters. You want the Professors to visit all of them?!" ]

[ "No, it has to be through Owls." ]

The debate fired on, with two sides firmly thinking that it can either be Owls, or House Visits. The fight thankfully being stopped before it could turn into a duel, by the one and only Prof. McGonagall who's listening silently.

[ "You children shouldn't worry, this is quite easy to be honest." ]

[ "Just know that you've done your part, and that is enough already." ]

The Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw Student who's listening felt pride in hearing those words. Some even raise their chin slightly in response.

But one thing hasn't been answered though. How are we gonna be able to do that?

[ "Professor how are we gonna be able to do that?" ]

[ "Don't worry Ms. Darce, I am quite sure the Headmaster would be of great help in this small endeavor." ]

Why would he be connected to this conversation...? Oh, that explains...

Quinivir and the other three students looked at where their Professor of Transfiguration and Flying is looking at and noticed the figure of their Headmaster.

The House Head of Slytherin, Professor of Potions and Alchemy slowly trying to escape from where he came from. Before ultimately stopping dead in his tracks, having been found.

[ "Isn't that right, Headmaster Harp?" ]

Slowly turning around, the green-eyed man who looks like a deer caught in the headlights couldn't help but silently wave his hand in response.

[ "Prof. McGonagall, hi!" ]

Looking sickly pale in seeing the Deputy Headmistress before ultimately gaining strength in seeing the students around her.
