Chapter 23 - Meeting New People

If Kaelron were to marry Casilla, it would signify his alignment with the merfolk kingdom, which would, in turn, mean submitting to their influence and power. However, Kaelron was unaware of the full scope of the consequences this alliance would bring. Now, Lynaria found herself in danger as she was deep within the territory of the merfolk.

Pluto, with his usual cold tone, told Lynaria that now that she knew everything, she could never return to the Dragon Palace. Lynaria was shocked by the revelation and questioned Pluto's true intentions. He explained that he needed her help to overthrow Queen Tyra, believing that Lynaria, with her skills, was capable of accomplishing this task. Lynaria, however, doubted the feasibility of such an endeavor and asked what would happen if she refused. Pluto countered, suggesting that by helping him, she could protect her king from Casilla's lies, thus serving her true master.

Lynaria was left to contemplate Pluto's words. Despite the danger, there was truth in what he said, but she also knew that the task ahead would be incredibly perilous, especially with so many enemies surrounding her. Meanwhile, back at the Dragon Palace, Lynaria's troops had returned, but without her. Kaelron immediately sought an explanation, demanding to know where she was. The captain of the troops explained that they had been intercepted by Prince Pluto, who had taken Lynaria with him, and they had been instructed to return without her.

Kaelron, frustrated, angrily asked how they could have allowed her to go with a stranger, expressing concern for her safety. Ares, standing quietly behind him, smirked and teased Kaelron, noticing his unusual worry over Lynaria's disappearance. He pointed out that Kaelron had never cared this much before, especially when sending her to dangerous places. But now, after she simply left with a man, Kaelron was suddenly more worried than when she had gone into battle.

Kaelron dismissed Ares' teasing and remained focused on the matter at hand. He didn't trust Pluto and had a bad feeling about his intentions. Ares, suggesting humorously that Kaelron go to the merfolk kingdom himself to retrieve her, was surprised when Kaelron immediately acted on the suggestion and left the palace without a second thought.

As Kaelron rushed to the merfolk kingdom, news of his departure quickly spread throughout the palace, reaching Casilla.

Casilla, fuming with anger, sought out Ares, who was unfazed by her presence. Their exchange quickly escalated when Casilla demanded to know where Kaelron was. Ares, with his typical indifference, mocked her for speaking to him as though he were invisible. His teasing infuriated Casilla, who vowed to make him pay for disrespecting her, planning to send him to a remote place once she became the Queen of Dragons.

The gossip spread quickly, and soon, Rivan, Kaelron's younger brother, heard about the tension and hurried to find Casilla. He found her in a cold mood, reminding him of her engagement to Kaelron. Rivan, however, didn't back down, hinting that their relationship might be over. Casilla was wary of Kaelron finding out about their affair, but Rivan pressed her on the loyalty Kaelron supposedly had toward her, questioning her trust in him. Casilla, frustrated, admitted she had a plan to separate the general from Kaelron and wondered if Rivan would be willing to help. With a teasing touch, Rivan made it clear that he was happy to assist her, though Casilla warned him to be discreet.

Meanwhile, Kaelron had arrived at the gates of the merfolk kingdom, demanding to see Prince Pluto. The guards, however, refused to let him in, citing Pluto's orders to prevent his entry. Kaelron, furious at the defiance, threatened to force his way in unless they returned Lynaria to him. The guards, however, remained firm in their orders, telling him that Pluto was busy and couldn't be disturbed.

Undeterred, Kaelron decided to press on, knowing that Pluto's actions were a direct challenge to his authority. Back in Pluto's palace, a strange flash of light appeared in the sky, signaling the arrival of the Dragon King. Lynaria, intrigued and slightly anxious, asked what was happening. Pluto, cold as ever, calmly explained that Kaelron had arrived, and his arrival was causing a stir. As the Dragon King fought through Pluto's guards, Lynaria became increasingly concerned about the chaos unfolding.

Kaelron, engaged in a fierce battle with the merfolk soldiers, was eventually stopped when Pluto ordered his forces to pull back. The fighting halted, and Pluto confronted Kaelron, demanding to know why he was invading his domain. Kaelron, unwavering, simply stated that he wanted Lynaria returned to him, making it clear that he was not leaving without her.
