Lynaria was assigned to eliminate a monster terrorizing a nearby village. After being greeted warmly by the villagers, she was escorted to the village chief's house, where he explained the troubling situation. The chief told her that the monster attacked relentlessly, causing widespread damage, but its motives were unclear. It had simply appeared one day and started destroying things. When Lynaria asked if anyone in the village had provoked the creature, the chief explained that no one dared to enter the Forbidden Forest, as it was strictly forbidden by the village's ancestors.
Lynaria was curious about why the monster was attacking the village if it came from the Forbidden Forest. The chief replied that nothing had been stolen or lost during the attacks—only the villagers had been harmed, and many had lost their homes. After hearing this, Lynaria suspected that someone might be behind the appearance of the monster. She requested permission to enter the Forbidden Forest, but the chief refused, insisting that it was off-limits.
Frustrated by the chief's refusal, Lynaria decided to take matters into her own hands. She snuck into the Forbidden Forest, but at the entrance, she encountered a magical barrier meant to prevent entry. Lynaria easily broke the seal, expressing her frustration at the ineffective barrier. Once inside the forest, she noticed a well-worn path that seemed odd given the warnings of the villagers. Curious, she followed it deeper into the forest, soon finding herself in an area that felt strangely familiar. It reminded her of a place she once visited with the ancient dragons.
As she ventured further, Lynaria realized that the place was completely different from what she had expected. Two massive suns hung over a barren land with no life in sight. The air was hot and dry, a stark contrast to the peaceful refuge of the dragons. She pushed on, determined to find the monster and uncover the truth. Eventually, she came across a more fertile area with desert trees and a rare sight: a clear pool of water. Despite her intense thirst, Lynaria resisted the temptation to drink, remembering the rules of her mission that forbade her from consuming anything in the area.
As she wrestled with her desire for water, a loud, mournful howl echoed through the air. Lynaria rushed toward the sound, preparing for a confrontation. She was shocked to discover that the source of the noise was a large black wolf-like monster imprisoned in an iron cage, being cruelly whipped by a man wielding a lash covered in magical seals. The scene raised many questions, and Lynaria couldn't understand why the monster was being treated this way or who the man was.
When Lynaria saw the man's face, she was horrified to realize that it was the village chief. He had lied about the monster's attacks on the village and had been torturing the creature for some unknown reason. The truth began to click in her mind, and she understood that the chief was behind the rumors and the monster's appearance. But why would he do such a thing?
After the chief left, Lynaria seized the opportunity to approach the monster. She used her powers to communicate with it, promising not to harm it. The monster, terrified by its previous torment, hesitated at first, but Lynaria reassured it that she came to help, not to hurt. She asked the creature to explain what had really been happening in the Forbidden Land.
The monster revealed that the true "monster" was the village chief himself. It turned out that the chief had been using his powers to control astral creatures in the Forbidden Forest, including the monster. He had manipulated the creature for his own purposes, forcing it into submission. Lynaria was enraged by the cruelty the monster had suffered and vowed to help it get revenge on the chief.
Though the monster was still afraid of the chief, Lynaria convinced it to trust her. Together, they returned to the village just as the chief was preparing to perform a full moon ritual. Lynaria interrupted the ceremony and demanded that the chief stop. The chief, furious, ordered his guards to capture Lynaria. However, the monster intervened, roaring loudly and knocking the guards unconscious. The chief, seeing the monster beside Lynaria, finally realized that his control over the creature had been broken.
Lynaria stood firm, ready for the final confrontation with the chief. The truth had come to light, and the village chief's reign of terror was about to end.
