Chapter Thirty-Three: Tragic Miles
Jin Bin, the biggest gangster boss in the country, was sitting in his office, looking at the computer screen with an amused expression. The image displayed on the screen showed a tall black figure continuously throwing dozens of grown men into the air. Just a few days ago, he had encountered a strange man at the trading base. Amazingly, this man managed to kill several of his minions singlehandedly. It took an immense amount of effort, manpower, and financial resources to finally bring him down.
"Boss, the research is over," announced Liv, the female Doctor Octopus, as she entered Jin Bin's office without knocking. She appeared excited, as if she had stumbled upon a new discovery, something not found on Earth.
"Oh? Let's hear it," Jin Bin responded.
"The liquid on his body resembles a living organism and has a symbiotic relationship with him. High temperatures and sound waves can weaken it, and it has now been separated from the man. Most importantly, it can significantly enhance the host's physical abilities. Even if it attaches to a slender man, it can elevate his strength to rival that of a world boxing champion, or even surpass it," Liv explained, her excitement evident as she presented various data about the venom on the projector.
"Yes, that's secondary. How is the processing of the particle collider?" Jin Bin asked eagerly, anxious to see his wife and son.
"It's ready, Boss," Liv replied.
The next day, Norton was eager to impress Gwen and Rosa by showcasing his Bandai Genuine Transformation. However, much to his disappointment, neither Gwen nor Rosa appeared surprised. "My cosmic dad would do the same," Gwen commented. "My Norton too," added Rosa. Norton realized that to them, the Kamen Rider transformation was akin to nano armor; once the technology tree was accessed, it could be manufactured.
"Alright, it's time for us to go to school," Norton declared, eager to escape and immerse himself in the pursuit of knowledge.
At Brooklyn Vision Academy, Norton and his companions encountered a flustered Miles. Instantly, the trio had a special reaction, and Gwen looked at Norton with surprise: "You're right, he has indeed become a new Spider-Man." Miles had not only inherited Spider-Man's abilities but also possessed new skills, such as invisibility and electric shock.
"Hi! Miles!" Norton greeted him enthusiastically.
"Oh! Hi!" Miles turned around nervously and greeted back. He asked awkwardly, "Uh, I don't know your name yet?"
"Just call me Norton." Norton glanced at the sweat on Miles' face and asked, "Are you okay? Why are you sweating so much?"
"Ahaha, I'm growing. Oh no, I'm not growing. I'm mature, I'm a man." Miles was a little incoherent; obviously, the changes this morning made him a little uncomfortable.
"I still have some things to do, I'm leaving first!" Miles hurriedly said as he subconsciously patted Norton's shoulder. But the next second, his hand was stuck to the clothes on Norton's shoulder, and he couldn't let go.
"Ooh! Sorry! I'm letting go now!"
Norton felt that Miles' strength was getting stronger and immediately grabbed his wrist, saying, "Relax, relax, Miles."
"I'm so relaxed, lol."
"Think about how you relax." Norton directly cited the method Peter taught Miles.
"Uh..." Miles looked around and saw that everyone was watching them curiously. He asked Norton, "Not here."
"Trust me, otherwise, your hands will only live with my clothes."
"Okay, uh..." Miles sang a song as expected, and his fingers gradually loosened one by one as he relaxed.
After letting go, Miles couldn't bear the gazes around him and ran away as if fleeing for his life.
"Well, compared to us, he seemed a little reckless at first." Gwen stepped forward to straighten Norton's messy clothes and said.
"Actually, Mom, Dad said that you did this to him back then." Rosa said in a voice that only the two of them could hear.
Gwen, like a cat whose tail has been stepped on, replied, "This is impossible!"
Rosa ignored Gwen's gaze and directly recounted what happened back then: "My father said that when my mother just got her Awakening Ability, she tore off his clothes in public and was laughed at by those students for several days."
Norton's eyes lit up as he finally found out about Gwen's embarrassing moment and immediately said, "Looking at your reaction, you seem to have had this kind of experience back then."
Gwen blushed and turned her head angrily. It couldn't be exactly the same as what Rosa said; it was the same in her universe. She had also pulled Norton's hair and asked him to shave half of his head. But this can be regarded as their fate; this is their beginning.
