Chapter 34: Peter Who Didn't Die
Norton and the others were on their way to the classroom when they noticed a peculiar figure on the wall outside. Miles was shirtless, with two pigeons stuck to his hands, and was walking uncontrollably on the wall. Gwen reached out to cover Rosa, who was on Norton's shoulder, preventing her from witnessing the embarrassing scene. "It is indeed much worse than us," Norton shook his head. Both Peter and Gwen had Norton by their side to guide them and avoided many mishaps. Miles, in this universe, wasn't aware of his own changes, which led to many mishaps. Tonight, Miles would venture down the subway tunnel again and encounter the Green Goblin and Peter of this universe. "Let's see what effect my influence can have."
The Green Goblin in this universe is an enormous green monster. He raised his fist to strike Peter, but Peter was too petite for him. Agile and quick, Peter easily dodged the Green Goblin's attack. "Stop it, Norman. I won't let you start the particle collider. Brooklyn will be destroyed, and the whole world will be in chaos." "You can't stop us, Spider-Man." "I don't want Brooklyn to be swallowed by a black hole." Peter deftly swung his web to dodge Green Goblin's attack and punched him in the face. Miles, who was watching the battle, shivered. "I think I'd better leave quickly." But he was caught in the aftermath of the fight as Green Goblin kept dropping bombs. Frightened, Miles had no choice but to run away toward the particle collider.
Unbeknownst to him, Green Goblin was kicked by Peter and was sent flying, knocking Miles into the air. Fortunately, Miles managed to grab onto the corner of a ledge. "No, no, no! Ahh!" Miles struggled, his grip slipping until he fell. Peter heard the sound and quickly shot his web in Miles' direction. After catching him securely, he placed him on a nearby construction building. Concerned that Miles might be startled, Peter tried to calm him down by saying, "Hey, do you know your shoelaces are loose?" "This... um." "Mine is a jumpsuit, so I don't have to worry." At that moment, both Miles and Peter frowned, sensing each other's Spider Telepathy.
"You too, you're the same as me." Peter was surprised, not expecting to find someone else like him besides Norton. "This... I don't want it either." After what happened, Miles didn't want Spider-Man's ability at all. "I'm afraid you don't have a choice, kid." Peter tried to reassure Miles, "I understand your confusion. You'll be fine, I can help you. After I take care of things, I can even teach you a few tricks." "Okay." Seeing Miles' emotional stability, Peter was relieved. Suddenly, they felt a tremor; the particle collider had started. "I have to destroy that machine before it fully activates. A friend of mine arrived here because of it." "Don't wander off. See you later." With that, Peter swung his web and flew towards the collider. Miles was amazed by Peter's skillful and stylish moves. "How the hell did he do it?"
Miles had initially thought Spider-Man would handle everything soon, but soon after, a purple figure appeared, grabbing Peter mid-air and wrestling with him.
That purple figure was Miles' uncle, the Prowler. And there's Green Goblin messing around. "Do you like my toys? They cost me a lot of money, but money is something outside of me." Jin Bin watched all this from the observation room, and Peter, who was pinned down by Green Goblin, narrowed his eyes. "Jin, do you know the consequences of doing this?" Instead of answering Peter's question, Kim smiled and said, "You're going to love this light show." As soon as he spoke, the particle collider started to rotate, and the red particles collided together. The whole of Brooklyn began to tremble because of the operation of these two machines. There was a flicker on the street, and things that did not belong to this universe appeared, such as Christmas trees and buildings from other universes. They all merged with various objects, Christmas trees merged with street lights, buildings merged with buildings, and it looked extremely weird.
"Norman, how do you usually deal with head trauma?" Peter asked, feeling a steel plate fall off their heads. Green Goblin was puzzled at first, then he was hit directly on the head and let go of the dazed Peter beneath him. "I warned you." The Green Goblin, coming back to his senses, felt insulted, flapped his wings, flew up, angrily grabbed Peter, and stepped on the middle of the particle collision. "Green Goblin! No! Get him out!" Jin Bin looked at the warning on the computer screen, his expression changed drastically, and he yelled directly at Green Goblin.
"Boom!!" The particle collider couldn't bear it any longer and exploded. With a strong white light, the explosion destroyed everything around it. The vicinity turned into ruins; Green Goblin was directly killed, and countless rubble piled up together. "Ahem." Miles waved his hand to fan away the surrounding dust, and he looked around. When he saw Peter's figure, he ran over quickly and threw away the gravel on his body: "You, are you alright?" "Ahem, I'm fine, just need a rest."
"Find him, hurry up." Jin Bin's voice sounded not far away. Peter knew something was wrong and immediately said to Miles next to him: "Listen, we don't have much time, we have to cooperate." "Only this heavy-duty key can stop the collider; insert it and press the red button." After speaking, Peter held something similar to a USB flash drive in his palm. "If you see another Spider-Man, you will give this to him. By the way, his name is..." Peter was about to tell Miles the name of Norton when he saw Jin Bing and his group's figures not far away.
"Hurry up and hide!" Hearing this, Miles quickly ran away to a hidden high place to observe Kim and the group approach Peter. "I know what you want to do, Jin Bin." "But it's impossible." "Bang!" The iron sheet beside Miles fell down, causing some noise. Jin and everyone looked around, only to see Miles' figure. Fortunately, Miles had a dark complexion, so his face wasn't clearly seen at the moment. "Kill him!"
