Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Lovers in the hay

As Peter woke up, he decided that he hadn't seen anyone as sad as Asmodeos. The man was gripping his hand and looking at him with tired eyes.

The necromancer looked as if someone had kicked him, then kicked his puppy.

And then probably kicked Peter too.

The fact that Peter had woken up in a hospital room gave him the hint that something was wrong. Something was so wrong that Peter couldn't just ignore it and move on.

No, Peter was, most likely, dying, and he knew that.

"Is it really so bad?" Peter brought Asmodeos' hands next to his mouth and kissed them.

He knew, without a doubt, that Asmodeos was going to be with him until the end.

After all, the man loved him.

 Because if he didn't love him, he wouldn't have made the first step.

"Everything is going to be fine. You're going to be fine. We're going to be fine."

Which to Peter sounded like: we're all going to die, but you will be first.
