Amahle's pov
Themba grabbed my arm and pulled me towards the door. "Come on, Amahle," he said, his voice urgent. "We have to get out of here, now."
I didn't need to be told twice. I followed Themba out of the room, leaving Xolani and his sinister plans behind.
We ran down the hallway, our footsteps echoing off the walls. Themba pushed open the front door and we spilled out into the bright sunlight.
As we emerged from the house, I felt a rush of relief. We had made it out. But as I looked around, I realized that we weren't safe yet. Xolani's house was in a secluded area, surrounded by trees and bushes. We were miles from the nearest town.
Themba seemed to sense my unease. He grabbed my arm and started pulling me towards the trees. "Come on, Amahle," he said. "We need to get out of here before Xolani comes after us."
I nodded and followed Themba into the trees. We ran as fast as we could, our hearts pounding in our chests. I could hear the sound of Xolani's voice behind us, shouting and cursing.
