Chapter 34 - Chapter 34 {Neighbors}

Sierra's eyes widened in shock as she stared at the man holding her daughter, her voice barely above a whisper.

"You...?" She couldn't finish the sentence, her mind racing with a mix of emotions. Patriarch Magnus's eyes locked onto hers, a spark of recognition flashing between them. He looked...different, yet the same. The same piercing gaze, the same chiseled features, but there was something in his eyes that was new, something that made Sierra's heart skip a beat. Aurora, still in his arms, looked up at him with a smile, oblivious to the tension between her mother and the handsome angel.

"Mama, this is the Handsome Angel I told you about!" she exclaimed, her voice bubbling with excitement. Sierra's eyes never left Patriarch Magnus's face, her expression a mixture of shock, fear, and...something else. Something that she couldn't quite put her finger on.

"You left without saying goodbye Miss Sierra I was so worried," Patriarch Magnus said gently and Sierra frowned what kind of bad luck did she have? Did she something so bad in her past life that she had to be dragged where this man lived out of all the neighbors she had to have is the one who annoyed him back in Sky City!

Sierra's frown deepened, her eyes narrowing at Patriarch Magnus's words.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice firm, trying to hide the unease that was growing inside her. Aurora, still in Patriarch Magnus's arms, looked up at him with a smile.

"Mama, Handsome Angel is our neighbor!" Sierra's eyes widened in dismay, her mind racing with the implications.

Sierra's eyes flashed with annoyance.

"How is this possible? Out of all the places in the galaxy, you had to live next door to me?" Patriarch Magnus's expression was calm, but his eyes held a hint of amusement.

"I could ask you the same thing, Miss Sierra. It seems fate has a way of bringing us together again." Sierra's face twisted in a scowl, she didn't like the sound of that one bit.

Sierra's scowl deepened.

"Fate has nothing to do with this. I'm sure it's just a coincidence." Patriarch Magnus's eyes crinkled at the corners.

"A coincidence that I've been searching for you for three weeks, only to find you living next door to me? I think not, Miss Sierra." Sierra's eyes widened in surprise.

"You've been searching for me? Why?" Patriarch Magnus's expression turned serious.

"Because I have unfinished business with you, Miss Sierra. Business that I intend to settle." Sierra's heart skipped a beat as she felt a shiver run down her spine. What did he mean by that?

Sierra's eyes flashed with anger as Patriarch Magnus's hand wrapped around her arm, his touch sending a shiver down her spine. She tried to pull away, but he held firm.

"Let me go," she hissed, her voice low and even. But Patriarch Magnus just smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement.

"We're far from done, Miss Sierra," he whispered, his breath tickling her ear. Sierra's heart skipped a beat as she felt a flutter in her chest. She tried to shake it off, but it was too late. Aurora, sensing the tension, looked up at her mother with concern.

"Mama, are you okay?" she asked, her voice soft. Sierra forced a smile, trying to reassure her daughter.

"I'm fine, sweetie. Just go inside and rest. I'll be right there." But as she turned to leave, Patriarch Magnus's grip on her arm tightened.

"We'll continue this conversation later, my sleeping beauty," he whispered, his eyes glinting with promise. Sierra's heart sank as she felt a shiver run down her spine. She knew she was in trouble.

Patriarch Magnus has already confirmed one thing in one his past life Sierra was his wife it was a different timeline different names and different backgrounds but he married her. Of course Sierra was unaware of this since she can't remember anything about her past lives she had.

Sierra's eyes narrowed as Patriarch Magnus's grip on her arm tightened. She tried to pull away, but he held firm.

"Let me go," she repeated, her voice firm. Patriarch Magnus's eyes glinted with amusement as he leaned in, his voice low.

"I'll let you go, but only for now, my sleeping beauty." He released her arm, and Sierra quickly turned to leave, her heart racing with unease. She couldn't shake off the feeling that Patriarch Magnus was hiding something, and she was determined to find out what it was.

As Sierra walked away, Patriarch Magnus's eyes followed her, a small smile playing on his lips. He knew that he had to tread carefully, that Sierra was not a woman to be trifled with. But he was determined to make her fall in love with him, to make her his once again. He remembered the countless lifetimes they had shared, the countless times they had loved and lost each other. But this time, he was determined to make it different. This time, he would make sure that she stayed with him, that she loved him with all her heart. He took a deep breath, his eyes never leaving Sierra's retreating back. The game had begun, and he was ready to play.

Patriarch Magnus's eyes never left Sierra's back as she disappeared into her house. He stood there for a moment, lost in thought, his mind replaying the countless lifetimes they had shared. He remembered the way she used to smile at him, the way she used to laugh, the way she used to love him. He remembered the way she used to make him feel, like he was the only man in the world. He took a deep breath, his eyes narrowing as he made a decision. He would do whatever it took to make her fall in love with him again, to make her his once more. He turned and walked back to his own house, a determined look on his face. The game had begun, and he was ready to play.

As he walked, he couldn't help but think about the past, about the lifetimes they had shared. He remembered the way she used to be, so full of life and laughter. He remembered the way she used to love him, with all her heart and soul. He remembered the way she used to make him feel, like he was the only man in the world. He sighed, his eyes clouding over with memories. He had lost her so many times before, but he was determined not to lose her again. This time, he would make sure that she stayed with him, that she loved him with all her heart.

He walked into his house, his eyes scanning the room. He saw his fiancée, Princess Elena, sitting on the couch, a look of concern on her face.

"Magnus, what's wrong?" she asked, her voice soft. Patriarch Magnus smiled, his eyes never leaving hers.

"Nothing," he said, his voice smooth.

"I was just thinking about something." Princess Elena nodded, her eyes narrowing.

"You were thinking about her, weren't you?" she asked, her voice accusing. Patriarch Magnus's eyes flashed with surprise, but he quickly recovered.

"Who are you talking about?" he asked, his voice innocent. Princess Elena sighed, her eyes rolling.

"Don't play dumb, Magnus. I know all about your past, about the woman you loved and lost. I know all about Sierra."

"Go and take care of our son if you do something foolish again and harm our son Elena god help you I don't slap you to death," Patriarch Magnus snapped coldly he picked up his son Arjuna who smiled brightly at his father.
