Patriarch Magnus's expression softened as he looked at his son, his eyes filled with love and adoration.
"I'm sorry, little one," he whispered, his voice gentle. He kissed Arjuna's forehead, his heart filled with a mix of emotions. He knew he had to be careful, for the sake of his son and the woman he loved. He couldn't let his feelings for Sierra cloud his judgment and put Arjuna in harm's way.
Princess Elena's eyes narrowed, her face twisted in a scowl.
"You're going to pay for your insolence, Magnus," she spat, her voice venomous.
"You think you can just ignore me and my feelings, and focus on that...that...woman? Sierra is nothing but a peasant, a nobody. She's not worthy of your attention, let alone your love." Patriarch Magnus's eyes flashed with anger, but he kept his cool. He knew that Elena was trying to provoke him, to get a rise out of him. He wasn't going to fall for it.
"I've warned you, Elena," he said, his voice cold.
"Don't push me. I'm not in the mood for your tantrums." He turned and walked away, Arjuna still in his arms, leaving Elena to seethe with anger and resentment.
"Father I like that Fairy Auntie, don't tell mother I dislike her," Arjuna whispered to his dad Patriarch Magnus chuckled at his son remark.
Patriarch Magnus's eyes crinkled at the corners as he smiled, his heart warmed by his son's words.
"I won't tell your mother, little one," he whispered back, his voice low and conspiratorial.
"But why do you like Fairy Auntie so much?" he asked, his curiosity piqued. Arjuna looked up at him with big, round eyes, his face serious.
"Because she's nice and she smells like cookies," he said, his voice matter-of-fact. Patriarch Magnus chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
"Ah, I see. Well, I think Fairy Auntie is nice too," he said, his voice soft. He glanced down at his son, his heart filled with love and affection.
"And I think she likes you very much too, little one."
"Father, remember when I told you I meant a nice lady at North Star Gaze Alchemy Shop? That was her she was the kind lady who gave me candy! Fairy Aunt, I like her more than I like mother," Arjuna whispered to his dad ear. Patriarch Magnus chuckled at his son.
Patriarch Magnus's eyes widened in surprise, and then he burst out laughing, his deep voice rumbling with amusement.
"Ah, I see," he said, his voice still chuckling.
"So, it was Sierra who gave you candy, was it? No wonder you have a sweet tooth for her, little one." He smiled, his eyes twinkling with mirth.
"And I think it's safe to say that you're not the only one who likes her more than they like your mother," he whispered, his voice low and conspiratorial. He glanced down at Arjuna, his eyes serious for a moment.
"But remember, little one, your mother is still your mother, and you have to be kind to her, even if you don't like her as much as you like Fairy Auntie." Arjuna nodded, his face serious, but Patriarch Magnus could see the hint of a smile playing on his lips.
At this point Arjuna looked out the window he wanted to know more about the family next door he looked at his mother with a cold expression he then rushed off up to the third floor of the luxurious penthouse.
Princess Elena's eyes narrowed as she watched Arjuna rush off, her face twisted in a scowl. She turned to Patriarch Magnus, her voice cold.
"You're spoiling him, Magnus. You're making him too soft and weak. He needs to learn to control his emotions and be more ruthless, like me." Patriarch Magnus's eyes flashed with warning, but he said nothing, his expression neutral. He knew that Elena was trying to provoke him, to get a rise out of him. He wasn't going to fall for it. Instead, he turned and followed Arjuna, his eyes fixed on the stairs as he made his way to the third floor. He knew that Arjuna was curious about the family next door, and he was determined to find out what was going on. As he reached the third floor, he saw Arjuna standing at the window, his eyes fixed on the penthouse next door.
"What is it, little one?" Patriarch Magnus asked, his voice soft. Arjuna turned to him, his eyes shining with excitement.
"I saw her, Father. I saw Fairy Auntie. She's the one who lives next door."*
"Look she is cooking Father can't we eat with them?" Arjuna asked. Patriarch Magnus sighed he thought about Sierra she would saw kick his ass if he showed up at her place to have dinner. Patriarch Magnus frowned slightly why does his son eyes similar to Sierra the way those pout or get angry is so similar to each other so strange impossible he already did a DNA test and Arjuna is Elena son.
Patriarch Magnus's eyes narrowed, his mind racing with thoughts. He couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something familiar about Arjuna's expressions, something that reminded him of Sierra. He pushed the thought aside, telling himself it was just his imagination.
"No, Arjuna, we can't just show up at their place for dinner," he said, his voice firm.
"We need to respect their boundaries." Arjuna pouted, his face scrunched up in disappointment.
Patriarch Magnus's eyes softened as he looked at his son, his heart melting at the sight of Arjuna's pouting face. He couldn't help but think of Sierra again, and how she would scold him if she knew he was even considering showing up at her place uninvited. He chuckled to himself, remembering the way she would always speak her mind and stand up for herself.
"I'll tell you what, little one," he said, trying to distract Arjuna from his disappointment.
"Why don't we invite them over for dinner instead? I'm sure Fairy Auntie would love to come over and cook for us." Arjuna's face lit up at the suggestion, and Patriarch Magnus couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement at the prospect of seeing Sierra again. He quickly pushed the feeling aside, telling himself he was just being friendly. But deep down, he knew it was more than that. He was drawn to Sierra in a way he couldn't explain, and he couldn't wait to see her again.
After all Sierra was his wife in his thousands of past lives that he can't recall but at least he is remembering the last one. He needs to find away to trick her to have dinner with him or else she will just bluntly refuse without a second thought.
Patriarch Magnus's eyes sparkled with amusement as he thought of a plan to trick Sierra into having dinner with him. He would use Arjuna as a pawn, knowing that Sierra's soft spot for children would be his key to getting her to agree.
"Arjuna, why don't you go next door and invite Fairy Auntie to dinner? I'm sure she'll say yes to you," he said, a sly smile spreading across his face.
Arjuna's eyes lit up with excitement as he ran to the door, eager to carry out his father's plan. Patriarch Magnus watched him go, a satisfied smile on his face. He knew that Sierra would have a hard time resisting Arjuna's charming smile and innocent request. As he waited for Arjuna to return, he couldn't help but think about the past life he was starting to remember. He recalled the way Sierra used to smile at him, the way she used to laugh at his jokes, and the way she used to make him feel like he was the only person in the world. He felt a pang of longing in his chest, and he knew that he had to find a way to make her remember him too. The door opened, and Arjuna walked in, a triumphant look on his face.
"Father, Fairy Auntie said yes! She's coming over for dinner!" Patriarch Magnus's heart skipped a beat as he heard the news. He couldn't wait to see Sierra again, to be close to her, and to try and make her remember the love they once shared.
