Chapter 37 - Chapter 37 {The Great General}

Sierra's eyes fluttered open, and she found herself being handed a box of sweets by Patriarch Magnus. She took it mechanically, still trying to process the events that had just transpired. She looked up at Patriarch Magnus, her expression neutral, and nodded slightly.

"Thank you," she said, her voice soft. She turned to leave, but not before catching a glimpse of Elena's still-pale face. A small, enigmatic smile played on Sierra's lips as she turned and walked away, the box of sweets clutched in her hand.

As she walked out of the room, Sierra's thoughts turned to the next day's schedule. She had a lot to do, and she couldn't let the drama of the evening distract her. She made a mental note to check on her triplets and make sure they were doing well. She also needed to review her schedule for the upcoming week and make any necessary adjustments. With a sense of determination, Sierra continued on her way, the box of sweets forgotten in her hand.

As she walked, Sierra's thoughts turned to her children. She had to make sure they were doing well and that their schedules were on track. She made a mental note to check in with their tutors and make sure they were keeping up with their studies. She also needed to review their martial arts training and make sure they were progressing as they should. Sierra's children were her top priority, and she would do anything to ensure their success and happiness.

Sierra's eyes seemed to glaze over for a moment, and a faint smile played on her lips.

"I'll always find you, Sterling," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

"No matter what it takes, I'll always find you." She stood there for a moment, lost in thought, before shaking her head and continuing on her way. The box of sweets was still clutched in her hand, but she didn't seem to notice it anymore. Her mind was elsewhere, focused on the son she had lost and the promise she had made to herself to find him.

Sierra took a shower and went to bed. Her mind went to Arjuna that boy looks so much like Apollo.

Sierra's eyes drifted closed, and she let out a soft sigh. She couldn't help but think of Arjuna, the way he smiled, the way he laughed. He reminded her so much of Apollo, her own son. She felt a pang of affection for the boy, and her mind began to wander. She wondered if Arjuna's mother, Elena, was taking good care of him. She wondered if he was happy. As she lay there, Sierra's thoughts became a jumbled mix of Arjuna and Apollo, her own son. She couldn't help but feel a sense of connection to the boy, a sense of responsibility. She drifted off to sleep, her mind still whirling with thoughts of Arjuna and her own children.

Sierra couldn't sleep she pulled her Zeken device and looked at Patriarch number she rather not be tangled with this man, after all he is the uncle of his stupid ex boyfriend Lucas but she didn't care about that the only thing in mind of Arjuna was fine. Sierra: How is Arjuna I know I just left your place three hours ago but I worry.

Patriarch Magnus's voice came through the device, warm and soothing.

"Ah, Sierra, you're as concerned as a mother hen, aren't you? Don't worry, Arjuna is fine. He's sleeping soundly, and Elena is keeping a close eye on him. I must say, I'm impressed by your maternal instincts. You're not even his mother, and yet you're more concerned about his well-being than his own mother is." There was a hint of amusement in his voice, but also a sense of genuine appreciation.

"I think you're going to be a wonderful influence on Arjuna, Sierra. And who knows, maybe you'll even help him become a better person than his mother is."

"Shut I worry for him humph tell him sweet dreams," Sierra said quietly.

Patriarch Magnus chuckled, his voice low and smooth.

"I'll make sure to pass on your message, Sierra. Sweet dreams to you as well. And don't worry, I'll take good care of Arjuna. He's in good hands."

There was a pause, and then he added.

"You know, Sierra, you're not as cold and unfeeling as you think you are. You have a soft spot for those you care about, and it's... refreshing." The line went quiet, and then the device beeped, indicating that the call had been ended.

"Piss off," Sierra snapped coldly and hanged up.

The device went dark, and Sierra was left with the faint sound of Patriarch Magnus's laughter still echoing in her mind. She glared at the device, her eyes flashing with annoyance, before tossing it onto the nightstand. She flopped back onto the bed, her arms crossed, and her expression still stern. She didn't like being seen through, and she especially didn't like being called out on her emotions. She was a master of control, and she didn't appreciate Patriarch Magnus's attempts to get under her skin.

Patriarch Magnus's eyes seemed to glaze over, lost in thought, as he reminisced about the past. He couldn't help but smile as he thought about Sierra, about the way she was in their past life. He remembered the way she would charge into battle, her sword flashing in the sunlight, her eyes blazing with a fierce determination. He remembered the way she would laugh, the way she would smile, and the way she would look at him with a deep affection. He sighed, his eyes refocusing on the present, and he couldn't help but feel a pang of longing. He wanted to see that look in her eyes again, to see the fire that once burned so brightly within her. He wanted to be the one to rekindle that flame, to bring her back to life.

Patriarch Magnus's eyes took on a faraway look, and a small smile played on his lips.

"Ah, Sierra," he whispered, his voice barely audible.

"You were always a force to be reckoned with, even in our past life. The great General of the Azure Flame, feared by all who knew you. And yet, you had a soft spot for me, a humble monk from a distant land." He chuckled, lost in thought, remembering the fierce warrior woman who had captured his heart.

"You may have changed your appearance, your name, and your circumstances, but your spirit remains the same. And I will always be drawn to that spirit, no matter what."
