Admiring the stunning view of the scarlet canopies ahead, the rays of the blue sun peeking through creating an paradise-like feel. Their wooden huts withstood the furious gales of wind which assaulted at this height, while their bridges were inscribed with Runic arrays she didn't understand to stop anyone from being blown off.
Ahead of her was a beautiful blonde-haired woman pleading for help towards all the people walking past. Heading towards her the woman confessed her problems which gave her a quest.
[Quest: Recovering Naomi Hallen
Description: Ruby Hallen is requesting for help to rescue her girlfriend from the nearby Hobgoblin Village.
Recommended Level: 10
Requirement: Rescue Naomi Hallen (0/1)
Rewards: 500 exp].
Despite the girl's insistence for help, all the guards were too busy trying to defend against the Flame Imps and so they could not provide any help. Ruby believed that the Hobgoblins had taken her girlfriend as she had been one of the rare Misbegotten Druids with the ability to have some control of the weather. And since they inhabited a cursed patch of land where crops refused to sprout, they had taken extreme measures to aid their people who were starving.
Originally, Noami Hallen had agreed to aid them but she could only safely do so much, and since that wasn't enough they forced her to overload her body with mana in order to create strong rainfall. This could cause irreparable damage over time which is why she was so worried.
Thankfully, she had received a basic map of the area which had no detail except the village and the area where the girl was being held captive. The edge of the Misbegotten City (it's name given by its people) to its west bordered the hobgoblin tribe and the cursed land that they lived on.
Taking flight, she soared above the large trees, waiting to see the treeline in the distance. As she ascended, the light of the sun fully shone on her and gave her weird notifications.
[The Artifical Azure Sun empowers your Godless Bloodline]
[Gain 2x mana and health regeneration when completely under its ray].
'The sun gave benefits because of my bloodline? And it was fake? Well actually that makes sense, I've never heard of a blue sun from anyone's posts in the forum. What happened to the real sun then?' There were a load of questions she could think of, but some stuff began to make sense as well.
The Archipelago of the Godless was a goldmine in resources, rich in minerals and packed full of rare and unique items, you can't find anywhere else. So in such an beneficial area filled with races that are hated, why have they not been invaded?
This Artifical Azure Sun now makes it a little understandable on why they have kept their independence. Everything deemed with a Godless bloodline or race was given a multipler on their healing. This would greatly improve their strength, and make them almost impossible to beat in a fight on their own land.
Thankfully, players with Godless bloodlines also got the same buff or else it would be hard to level up. Flying swiftly, she began to see a sharp border of scarlet leaves, where the ground shifted from bright green to a dark brown. A few leafless dead trees sprouted from the ground, their height not even half the size of the scarlet ones.
Elya began her descent as her wings would stand out against the blue sky, giving away her position. Descending on the border of the cursed land, she noticed that she still had the buff since there were no trees blocking the sun.
Consulting her map, the Fallen Angel saw that she was about a ten minute walk away from their small town. Heading towards it, as she got closer she equipped her [Ghastly Glass pendant] and used its active skill once it was in sight.
'Wait. Why didn't I just fly and use the pendant as cover? I'm a fucking idiot.' Moving on from her thoughtless thinking, she entered the Hobgoblin Town. Walking around she saw the creatures.
They were around the height of a 12 year old, with sickly green skin and canines that rested on their lips. The Hobgoblins wore a simple red tunic, made from the leaves on the forest she had just came from. Trying to understand how many goblins there were, she explored there primitive town, especially in comparison to the Misbegotten City.
Casting [Runic Sight] on the Hobgoblins she snuck past, one thing became clear. These goblins were pathetically weak, the highest level being 8 but their stats were low. Really low. Like their highest being Agility yet it was half hers.
What they lacked in strength, they made up in numbers. There was around two hundred Hobgoblins in this one village, which didn't compare to the amount of Misbegotten Druids, but there was a total of five villages in this cursed land. With about four minutes until her pendant wore off, she noticed it.
Up on a stage, was a enchanting girl with red fiery hair, and electric blue eyes. Her pale skin was marked with electric blue lines, a sign of magical overuse. Around her, was a Runic circle which pumped her full of mana as she was forced to cast spells after spells to try and fix their drought.
For a moment, the clouds would darken, but then they would dissaperate almost instantly. Hurrying up, she cast [Runic Sight] on the circle.

[Array has been assimilated into your Runic Sight].
That was not a surprise, she had seen forums before where people with [Runic Sight] had levelled it up by finding and studying the right runes and arrays. However, this is the first array that her [Runic Sight] had actually assimilated.
