The story shifts to the wind nation of Susanno. In a small part of this country lived a 17-year-old boy named Kamael.
Kamael was known as the son of a famous businessman who ran a silk trade in the wind nation of Susanno. He dreamed of traveling the world one day and forming his own adventure team. However, his uncaring attitude toward others made him less liked by the people around him.
One day, while helping his father sell silk at the market, Kamael worked quickly. Despite his father's warnings to be careful, Kamael paid no attention and used his elemental power recklessly. As the power grew stronger and more unstable, it spiraled out of control, causing a rampage that destroyed nearby market stalls, including his father's silk kiosk.
A man arrived and subdued Kamael using earth-elemental power with the *Ä€suhando* (Earth Hands) technique, rendering Kamael unconscious. Grateful, Kamael's father approached the man.
"Thank you for saving my son and all of us. May I know who you are? I don't believe I've seen you before," Kamael's father asked.
"My name is Garrax, from the land of Gaia. I'm simply traveling around the world," the man replied.
"Thank you so much, Sir Garrax. We're truly grateful for your help. Is there anything I can offer as a reward for what you've done?" Kamael's father asked.
"I don't need a reward. I help others because I want to, nothing more," Garrax replied calmly.
"I see... Well, once again, thank you for your help," Kamael's father said, shaking Garrax's hand.
"You're welcome. I'll be on my way now. Farewell," Garrax replied before walking away from the crowd.
Kamael's father turned his attention back to his son and tried to wake him.
"Kamael, wake up," his father said.
Shortly after, Kamael regained consciousness and asked, "What happened to me? Why does my body hurt so much? And why am I covered in dirt?"
His father explained, "You lost control of your power while helping me at the market earlier. Look around you and see how many market stalls you destroyed, including my own."
"You need to fix what you've done and apologize to the people whose stalls you damaged. After that, I want you to travel to the spirit nation of Hei Bei Wu Chang and find a man named Las Lunin. He is known for his wisdom. Tell him that your father, Garamel, sent you and ask him to take you as his student. Las Lunin and I were close friends in our youth when I had an adventuring team with my companions, including him. Go now, my son."
"Alright, Father," Kamael said in agreement.
After preparing for his journey, Kamael said goodbye to his father and the people of Susanno before setting off for the spirit nation of Hei Bei Wu Chang.
