Blaze woke up in the morning as usual.
"Hiyaahhh… It feels so good to wake up in the morning… Hmm? I'm curious about this map," Blaze said as he picked up the scroll given to him by an old man the night before.
He unrolled the scroll, and to his shock, he discovered that it contained nine instructions to collect nine fragments of a relic shaped like a Tresserect. It was said that whoever managed to gather and merge these relics would be granted one wish by the relic itself.
Blaze became intrigued by the idea of searching for the relics.
"Uuuhhh… This is so interesting! I want to find these relic fragments and make my wish come true! Hahaha!" Blaze laughed excitedly.
Hearing Blaze's laughter, Gorgon Pvesoveus, who was in the room next to him, became annoyed and entered Blaze's room to ask what was so funny.
"Hey…!!! Blaze, why are you so loud?! And why are you laughing like that?" Gorgon Pvesoveus asked.
"Oh, nothing, I was just laughing like I always do. You know, I'm always cheerful! Hahaha…" Blaze replied while hiding the scroll behind his back.
Gorgon Pvesoveus, still suspicious, asked what Blaze was hiding.
"Hey! What are you hiding behind your back?!" he asked.
"It's nothing," Blaze replied.
"If it's nothing, then show me what you're hiding," Gorgon Pvesoveus insisted.
Blaze quickly swapped the scroll with a book from the table behind him.
"See? Just a book! Hahaha!" Blaze said, laughing.
Although still skeptical, Gorgon Pvesoveus decided to leave Blaze's room and return to his own.
"Alright then, I'm heading downstairs to eat and then going to the nearest guild to take on a mission. If any soldiers from my country (Poseidon) come looking for me, just tell them I'm not here or that you don't know me. Got it?" Gorgon Pvesoveus instructed.
"Yeah, I got it," Blaze replied.
With that, Gorgon Pvesoveus left for the guild.
Blaze then set off for the location mentioned in the scroll.
The problem was that the scroll only described the place and its characteristics rather than providing an exact location.
The scroll stated that the first relic was inside the belly of a black snake filled with deadly traps.
Among the traps were feather-like darts, a fountain capable of melting iron, and a riddle inside its belly.
The snake was said to be located in a desert.
Reading this, Blaze realized that it was a riddle.
He began to ponder the meaning of the clues.
"What kind of snake releases feathers, has a fountain that melts iron, and contains a riddle inside its belly?" Blaze muttered as he thought.
"Maybe I should go to the city library to figure this out," he thought.
Determined to find the answer, Blaze went to the city library and spent an entire week searching through books, even sleeping in the library.
Seeing this, the librarian finally decided to ask Blaze what he was looking for.
"Excuse me, sir. Are you searching for a specific book? If you'd like, I can help you find it," the librarian offered.
"Really?!" Blaze exclaimed excitedly, grabbing the librarian's shoulders.
"Uh… Yes, sir. I can assist you if you need help," the librarian replied.
Blaze then explained his dilemma.
"Actually, I'm trying to solve a riddle," he said.
"If you don't mind me asking, what is the riddle?" the librarian inquired.
"Oh, the riddle says: 'Inside the belly of a black snake, there are deadly traps. Some release feather-like darts, a fountain that melts iron, and a riddle inside its belly.' So I'm confused about what the answer is. That's why I came here to see if there's a book that could help me solve it. Hehehe…" Blaze explained.
The librarian was taken aback and asked Blaze if he had ever attended school.
"Forgive me if this sounds rude, sir, but have you ever received an education?" the librarian asked.
"Education? No, I never went to school. Hahaha! My grandmother couldn't afford to send me," Blaze said.
Hearing this, the librarian felt sorry for Blaze, realizing how unfortunate he was not to have received an education like most people.
"Why are you asking me that?" Blaze questioned.
"Oh, nothing… nothing at all," the librarian replied.
Then, the librarian provided Blaze with an answer.
"So, the answer to your riddle is that what you're looking for is inside a cave."
"A cave? Why a cave?" Blaze asked.
"Because a cave is the perfect place to set up traps, especially if there's a treasure hidden inside," the librarian explained.
"So the first relic is inside a cave, huh?" Blaze thought to himself.
"I see… Thank you so much for your help!" Blaze said gratefully.
"Wait, sir! Are you planning to go there? It could be very dangerous!" the librarian warned.
"Dangerous? Nothing is dangerous when I'm around! Goodbye, and thanks again!" Blaze said confidently.
"Oh… I hope you'll be safe," the librarian murmured to himself, silently praying for Blaze's safety as he had a bad feeling that something terrible might happen to him.
Blaze finally understood that the "snake" mentioned in the riddle was just a metaphor for a cave. The "feathers" represented arrow traps designed to protect the relic fragment. The "fountain that melts iron" was actually lava erupting from the cave's depths, ready to incinerate anyone daring enough to retrieve the relic.
Blaze then returned to his homeland, the Fire Nation of Ra, where he knew of a cave in the desert.
No one had dared to enter that cave for a long time because, according to local rumors, anyone who entered never came out, even after an entire week. This had happened multiple times, making the cave feared and regarded as a cursed place, causing people to avoid it altogether.
