After some time, the three of them arrived at their destination, the village of Rikasa in the eastern part of the Dementer country.
"So, this is the place," Rico said.
"Maybe," Blaze replied.
"I'm sure this is the place. Let's ask the locals," Petra suggested.
"Alright," Blaze agreed.
They decided to ask a local vendor, who seemed to be from the area, about the location of the fire-element dragon that had attacked a nearby village. They approached him and asked.
"Excuse me, sir, we're adventurers, and we're here to defeat the fire-element dragon that attacked a village. Do you know where that village is, and where the dragon is?" Petra asked.
"Oh... So you're the ones who accepted the mission from the village," the man said.
"Oh... So this is a mission request from the village chief..." Petra replied.
"Yes, it's a request from the village chief and all the villagers."
"The reward for the mission is a fund raised by the village families and the village chief to kill the fire dragon that attacked the village," the man explained.
"Oh... I see," Blaze said.
"Could you take us to the village?" Petra asked.
"Of course, that's where I live. If you want to go, follow me," the man said.
They followed the man to the village where the village chief, who had sent the mission, lived.
After a while, they arrived at the village where the village chief lived.
"Here it is, welcome to Rikasa village," the man said.
"This place used to be beautiful, clean, and peaceful, but the dragon came and rampaged, burning everything down and nearly destroying the entire village. Right now, the villagers are all sheltering in the neighboring village to the northeast of Dementer, and only the village chief remains here," the man continued.
"Why is the village chief still here?" Rico asked.
"The village chief said he was born and raised here, and if he has to die, it should be here," the man answered.
Finally, they reached the village chief's house. As soon as the village chief saw the adventurers, he came out of his house and immediately asked them to defeat the fire-element dragon.
Upon hearing this, they prepared to face the dragon and asked the village chief to guide them to where the dragon was located.
The village chief led them to the dragon's current location, which was in a deep ravine.
Without hesitation, Rico immediately descended into the ravine to confront the dragon. Seeing this, Petra followed him down, and Blaze followed after her.
When they reached the bottom of the ravine, they saw the dragon asleep. They decided to tie the dragon from side to side using Rico's plant-element powers, blind the dragon's eyes with Blaze's fire-element powers, and kill the dragon using Petra's wind-element powers. They all agreed on the plan, but things didn't go as smoothly as expected.
As they were preparing, the dragon suddenly woke up and saw the three of them. The dragon began to attack them with blasts of fire. The three of them took cover from the dragon's fire blasts. They immediately started their plan, with Rico using his plant-element powers.
"Plant Element Ligamen Plantae (binding plants)," Rico said.
Blaze then attacked the dragon's eyes with his fire-element powers.
"Fire Element Two Locking Fire Arrows," Blaze shouted.
The fire attack hit the dragon's eyes, blinding it and causing it pain. The dragon began to attack wildly, and seeing this opportunity, Petra didn't waste time. She attacked the dragon with her wind-element powers.
"Feel this, Wind Element Veter, Kotoryy Razdelyayet Okean (Wind that splits the ocean)," Petra shouted.
The dragon was split in two and died, completing their mission. They took the dragon's head as proof of their victory.
When the village chief saw that the adventurers had successfully killed the dragon, he was overjoyed. He promised to inform the villagers in the neighboring village that it was safe to return because the dragon no longer posed a threat.
The village chief thanked them.
The adventuring group BLARIPET (Blaze, Rico, and Petra) was happy to receive their reward.
They decided to split the 300 Kai reward equally, each receiving 100 Kai.
They then returned to the Guild to report their success and submit the dragon's head.
Upon arriving at the Guild, they told the Guild officer that they had completed the mission. They handed over the dragon's head as proof, and the officer gave them their reward of 300 Kai.
After receiving their rewards, they decided to go their separate ways and return to their homes.
Blaze returned to his inn.
