Chapter 15 - BAB II.IV : THE MYSTERIOUS GARRAX

The story shifts to Garrax's perspective.

Garrax immediately began his journey to the next country after leaving the plant country, Dementer. His next destination was the Wind country, Susanno.

Upon arriving in the Wind country, Susanno, Garrax decided to find an inn and a nearby café to eat, as he was very hungry.

After placing his belongings in the inn, Garrax headed straight to the nearest Guild to find a mission and earn some money.

Upon entering the Guild, Garrax immediately went to the mission board, picked a mission, and approached the Guild worker.

"Excuse me, sir? I would like to take this mission," Garrax said with his cold, emotionless face and loud voice.

"Oh... You want to take this mission, huh? Alright, I'll note that this mission is now assigned to you," the Guild worker said.

"Okay, here's the mission... the task is to capture or kill a Giant Snake in the Fire country, Ra, that has fire-element powers. Your name has been recorded, and you can proceed," the Guild worker added.

Garrax took the mission paper, left the Guild, and hurried toward the Fire country, Ra, with the intent to eliminate the Giant Snake with fire-element powers.

Garrax made his way to the border between Susanno and Ra, heading into the Fire country.

Upon arriving in the Fire country, Garrax went straight to a busy area to ask the locals for information on the location of the Giant Snake with fire-element powers.

He went to the market and asked a nearby person.

"Excuse me, sir," Garrax said, intending to ask a question.

"Yes, what can I help you with?" the man at the market replied.

"I would like to know where the Giant Snake with fire-element powers is located in this region of the Fire country, Ra," Garrax asked.

"Are you sure you want to go there, young man?" the man responded.

"Yes, I have a mission to kill the Giant Snake with fire-element powers," Garrax explained.

"I see... but it's very dangerous. I'll show you the way, but I'll leave you about five kilometers from its lair. How does that sound?" the man said.

"Alright," Garrax replied firmly.

The man then led Garrax toward the snake's lair.

"This is the path to the Giant Snake's lair with fire-element powers," the man said.

"Oh... So, this is the place?" Garrax asked.

"Yes, this is the place," the man confirmed.

Garrax handed the man some money as a thank-you gesture.

"No, I can't accept this," the man said. "I just showed you the way, and I don't think I deserve it. Better to keep the money and think carefully if you really want to face the Giant Snake."

Garrax put the money back in his pocket.

Garrax decided to shake the man's hand and thanked him for showing him the way.

"Thank you for the advice, sir, but I still plan to go and fight the Giant Snake with fire-element powers alone," Garrax said.

"I see... but don't say I didn't warn you. If something happens to you, I've already warned you," the man said.

The man then left Garrax alone at the spot.

"Alright, I'm going now, young man. Goodbye," the man said.

"Goodbye, sir, and thank you for your help," Garrax replied.

The man waved his hand as he walked away.

Garrax then proceeded to the lair of the Giant Snake, which was located in a cave. As soon as he entered the cave, he was attacked by the Giant Snake with fire-element powers he had been searching for.

Without hesitation, Garrax counterattacked with his fists. However, this had little effect and only made the Giant Snake angrier. It began spewing fire and venom from its mouth.

Seeing this, Garrax protected himself with his earth-element powers.

"Earth Element Doheki no Kamae (Earth Wall Technique)," Garrax said.

With his powers, Garrax protected himself from the Giant Snake's attacks and retaliated with one attack after another.

The Giant Snake became increasingly frustrated as each of Garrax's small attacks evaded its strikes. Eventually, the snake started attacking blindly, making its movements unpredictable.

Garrax realized this and decided to remain protected behind the earth wall he had created earlier.

When the Giant Snake became exhausted, Garrax seized the opportunity to attack, using one of his techniques, "Daichi O Saku Ken (Earth Sword that Splits the Land)."

He killed the Giant Snake by splitting its head and took its head with him back to the Wind country, Susanno, to deliver it to the Guild for his reward.

Garrax made his way to the Guild in Susanno to collect his reward.

Upon arriving at the Guild, Garrax went straight to the Guild administration to receive his payment for the mission, while carrying the severed head of the Giant Snake.

"Excuse me," Garrax said as he entered the Guild.

"Welcome," one of the Guild workers greeted him.

"This," Garrax said, placing the Giant Snake's head on the counter.

"Wow, you defeated the Giant Snake all by yourself, that's amazing! Here's your reward, and I'll take the snake's head," the Guild worker said.

"Yes, of course, I accept the reward," Garrax replied.

"Certainly, sir," the Guild worker responded.

Garrax then left the Guild.
