Moran suddenly pulled me into his arms when an arrow shot towards both of us. Of course it made me very surprised because, who was shooting at us when there was no one around us?
Until finally there was the sound of a man walking towards us, and we both looked at the man who had a tall body with gray hair like Moran. Only his hair was quite long and tied up.
"You should have done your part instead of being alone with her. You never get a single animal in an event like this." The man grinned at us and approached us.
"It's none of your business, Jayden. Besides, mother and father don't force me to get game if I don't want it," Moran replied to him.
That's right, Jayden was one of Moran's second brothers. He was the second Prince after the crown prince Delon. The royal members had four children, 3 boys and a girl. Moran is the third child of the king and queen.
I didn't know all these things at first, but after I had been here for a while and learned a lot about the people around me. I finally found out about the other family members Moran had.
Either one of them is someone who has an influence on the course of my story, or they are just side characters who will only support the story. But I'm sure that even if they're just support characters, their role could be crucial to my survival.
That's why I have to be careful of them. Especially those who seem to be able to make a small thing into something big like the butterfly effect.
"Oh right, that's what makes you a very weak prince. You can't even hunt. How will you protect Celestial in the future?"
Jayden then turned to me and looked at me, "It's better that you get engaged to me instead of him. There's still time before the wedding day, and wouldn't it be better for you to be with a man who can protect you?"
I have to be careful with someone like him, because even the slightest mistake. I'm sure it will come into play someday since he's still part of the Moran family.
I removed my hand from Moran and walked closer to him while showing him my best smile.
"A very interesting offer you've made Prince Jayden, I'm very honored to hear it."
He smiled, looking very proud of the offer he made me. I then continued my sentence.
"But I'm sorry I can't accept your offer, because Moran is the only one I love. I know you're a strong and brave man, but that can't replace my feelings for Moran," I replied and then took my fiancé's arm again.
"Strength may be sought after, but feelings cannot be found in a short time. For me Moran is more than enough." I turned to Moran and we both smiled at each other.
I knew Jayden still wouldn't be happy with my answer, but at least I had done my best to answer his question. And sure enough, he clucked in annoyance while pointing at me with the arrow in his hand.
Moran immediately pushed me back, shielding me with his body.
"Don't you dare point at my fiancée using that arrow. Did you forget that it's a rude thing to do?"
"I don't care! You're too stupid to love someone like him, Celestial. I'll prove you wrong by choosing Moran over me!" he said in exasperation and left with a man who I'm sure was his personal servant.
It turns out that not only in my world, but in this world everything is still the same. Thinking that power and money can take the heart of someone who already loves someone else.
That might be possible because money and power are everything. But not everyone thought the same and chose those two things over their love.
I know that if I choose him, I might just be able to survive and not end up like the previous Celestial where she was betrayed by Moran after her loyalty. However, I would make it so that Moran would never leave me for my stepsister.
"Are you okay?" he asked after the two men had left us.
"I'm fine, I just feel confused as to why he had to do that? I didn't even know that Jayden had feelings for me either," I replied to which Moran nodded in agreement.
He said that this was starting to make sense because Jayden was nowhere near happy with their matchmaking. However, Moran didn't understand how Jayden could like me. Jayden has never played with me even once or twice, unlike when I was with Moran.
Then where did Jayden's feelings come from?
"Maybe from your pretty face, you're too pretty to make my brother fall in love with you too." He gently caressed my cheek with his finger and smiled with his face close to mine.
My heart was beating so fast when he did that, how could it not? His face is so handsome and his smile is so gentle, plus his golden eyes that I can't take my eyes off of.
Will his eyes caught me into them and bound me together with the feelings he had for me.
"You are the most beautiful and kind-hearted woman I have ever known. Don't ever change yourself no matter what. This time I won't let you alone again," he said which suddenly made me feel strange.
What did he mean by not leaving me alone again?
Had he ever left me alone or was there something else he meant by that sentence?
And why did he say it while whispering to me wondering if he was worried that Jayden would listen in on our conversation?
I don't know why so many questions arose just because of one sentence that seemed unusual for him to say.
"What do you mean by that? Why did you say..."
"You don't need to say it, just listen to what I tell you and promise me."
I still didn't understand what he said, but I could only nod my head and promise that I would follow what he said.
"I will not change, I will be the Celestial you know and continue to be with you," I said with a smile holding his hand that had been in my hand.
I saw Moran smile again, then suddenly he kissed my forehead and pressed our foreheads together with both eyes closed I could feel his breath on my face.
"I will save and protect you this time."
