Chapter 4 - Life in the forest

Six months passed since the three entered the new world. By constantly practicing their skills they managed to control the power of the output of their spells.

They also relied on their powers to make a castle for them to live in. A castle so big and majestic that it would make the imperial castle look like a cottage compared to it.

Out of nowhere, Dimitri appeared in front of the main door holding a deer in his hands.

"Devon. Where should I place this deer." Dimitri asked as he entered and saw Devon sitting on a wooden couch in the living room.

"In the kitchen, thanks."

Since the three started living together they decided to split up common tasks.

Dimitri was in charge of hunting; Devon was in charge of cooking and Charlotte was in charge of cleaning.

After putting away their dinner, Dimitri went to look for Charlotte.

"Hey Charlotte, are you done cleaning."

"Yeah, just finished."

"Nice, follow me, I have something to show you."

"Oh, Okay."

Dimitri then led her outside and once outside he used his wind magic to manipulate the air around him allowing him to fly and Charlotte did the same.

He then took her to a cliff overlooking a beautiful city.

"I found this place while hunting today."

"It's beautiful, but why are we the only ones here. Why didn't you invite Devon."

"Now why would I take a guy to go sightseeing, huh?"

"You got a point." she said as she slightly blushed and chuckled.

Dimitri then formed a bench for him and Charlotte to sit on using his wood element magic.

"So, how are you coping in this new world?" Dimitri asked.

"It's fine since I have you and Devon to keep me company but I'm missing my parents."

"Thats good to hear. I'm missing my parents too but with you guys here it's bearable, you know."

"Yeah."

"Oh, what about your friends and boyfriend, do you miss them."

"I guess but it's not really that bad and by the way I don't have a boyfriend, never have."

"Oh, sorry."

"And do you miss them?"

"I didn't have other friends than Devon since everyone was either jealous of me or thought I was boring. And considering my girlfriend, no. We barely started dating and since I have to stay here for 10000 years, I've already locked her out of my heart."

"So, are you just not gonna date then."

"No, I will. Who knows, maybe even this year or next year."

"Are you going to find a girl in that city." She asked slightly panicked.

"I guess we'll go there. We should go back now; the food is almost ready." Dimitri said as he stood up, preparing to leave.

"Ok." Charlotte said, making a mental note.

They then returned home to find Devon preparing the table.

"Are you done?" Dimitri asked.

"Yeah, let's eat." Devon replied.

They the gathered around the table with Dimitri sitting at the head and the other 2 at either side of him.

After dinner, Dimitri and Devon returned to their room on the top floor while Charlotte washed the dishes.

After finishing the dishes, she disappeared on the spot. The next second she appeared above the city she and Dimitri visited earlier.

'It' 100's of kilometers from the mansion so it should be fine right.'

The next second her eyes turned cold as she looked at the city below, a spark flickering in her palm. She then brought her palm to her mouth and gently blew the spark off of her hand, slowly letting it fall to the city.

The next moment, a large explosion sounded, and the entire city was engulfed with fire.

She waited for 10 minutes, just looking at the fire, then she snapped her finger. The next moment all the flames vanished showing a massive open area, completely scorched.

She then put her hands together and trees suddenly started growing in the open area.

'This city can only blame itself. Daring to try and take my happiness with Dimitri. You're courting death.'

She then disappeared and appeared in her room, ready to sleep.
