Upon returning to her room, she heard Dimitri, who lived in the room next to her, exit his room.
"Where are you going?" She asked from inside her room while changing into pajamas.
"Just getting a snack and then going to Devon's room for a drink." he replied while closing his door.
"Oh, then enjoy, I'm going to sleep early."
"Good night, Charlotte."
He then quickly went to the kitchen to get some leftover food and two bottles of wine they self-produced.
'Luckily I'm already 18 so no one can say anything.' He thought as he walked to Devon's room.
"Hey, open up." Dimitri said quietly as he knocked on the door as to not disturb Charlotte's sleep.
"Yeah, yeah, on my way."
Devon opened the door and took a wine bottle from Dimitri.
"So, what are you up to?" Dimitri asked suspiciously. He knew Devon wouldn't just call him to his room for nothing.
"What ever could you mean?" Devon asked in a playful voice.
"Stop your bullshit and tell me what's going on."
"Okay, fine, what's going on between you and Charlotte."
"What do you mean. There is nothing between us."
"Do you think I'm blind. Do you think I can't see the look in your eyes as you look at her. That look has more emotion in them while looking at Charlotte than it ever did when you looked at Ava."
"To be honest, I'm kind of surprised that you noticed that."
"Oh, and why is that." Devon asked.
"Because you never saw when Michelle was looking at you like that."
"Michelle was just a classmate and close friend. You know that."
"Yeah, and I also know that she liked you for 3 years."
"Really, so ... wait a moment, you're just avoiding my answer aren't you."
"Okay, I like her, but what does that matter."
"What does it matter?! You have a girlfriend for fucks sake."
"Had a girlfriend."
"So, what, are you just abandoning her."
"Oh, so am I supposed to wait 10000 years and go date some ash." Dimitri asked sarcastically.
"That makes sense. So, are you going to confess to Charlotte?"
"I don't know." Dimitri said shyly.
"Wait a minute, are you shy. Weren't you the one who just went and asked Ava out without even caring."
"Yeah, but there weren't any feelings, you know."
"All I know is that if you take your time, she might get snatched away."
"That won't happen."
"And how do you know?"
"Because they will die the moment they set their eyes on her."
"Dude, don't you think that's messed up. They are still human."
"Eh, who cares, this is the first time I'm feeling like this, and no one can get in my way."
"Fine, let's just drink then." Dylan said as he opened his wine bottle.
"Okay, oh yeah, I found a city today while hunting. Do you wanna go there tomorrow with Charlotte to look around." Dimitri said as he took a swig of the wine in his hand.
"Yeah, I've been getting bored lately, so this is the perfect thing to alleviate my boredom."

The next morning while eating breakfast (Ostrich eggs, Dimitri found and roasted pig) Dimitri suddenly spoke.
"Charlotte, do you wanna join me and Devon to explore the city we saw yesterday after breakfast."
