I was taken aback by his sudden move on me. I didn't even think I was breathing at that point.I didn't pull away, even as I felt Cal's body move atop mine, his arms grabbing my waist aggressively and he pressed his muzzle harder into my lips.I felt my hands run up his back, up to his neck then fluffy head.Suddenly I heard an abrupt knock on the door. We both froze, Cal suddenly looking embarrassed. He wordlessly led me over to the other side of the room urgently, opening his walk-in closet."Stay here." He snapped before quickly shutting the door.Cal POV:I was horrified with myself, I should not have made that move on the human like that. He still seemed like an innocent adolescent. My jaw clenched, I was such a dumbass. After I heard the knock on the door, I led the human to my closet, locking him inside, I felt so embarrassed damnit.I walked to the door, opening it to reveal Karev at the door, a frighted expression on his face."Cal! We need you right now, someone has been found dead in the castle!"I was taken aback. Dead?! In this castle?! We had some of the best trained guards on this side of the realm, the chances of something like this happening were next to zero.Karev looked terrified, I had never seen such an expression on his usually stoic and serious face, rarely showing emotion. He quickly led me through the twists and turns of the castle, finally nearing a group of 3 guards blocking the hallway, they quickly parted and made way for us to get through.I flinched, audibly gasping as I beheld the sight. There she was, the librarian of the castle. Her face was torn to shreds, chunks of flesh from her face littered around her, blood still streaming down her face. The rest of her body was untouched. My eyes widened as I recalled my studies, there was only one creature known to kill that way. A shadow. But that would mean one would have to have passed the additional invisible barriers placed around the city, right at the walls. But fuck! There was a shadow in the castle. I knew there would be an uprising of terror throughout the city if anyone learned of this. I mustn't tell anyone of this.I collected myself, trying to sound assertive as I said, "I will find out who is responsible for this, I want all of you to tell the other guards to have their wits about them, to be careful. And please, deal with cook Aleena's corpse, we will enact a proper burial most likely tomorrow."I barely was able to keep my voice steady, myself from shaking, I had never thought this possible.I dismissed the guards and retreated to me room, my father I heard, had alerted everyone in the castle to keep their doors locked, to not leave their rooms.Hyrus POV:I had been left in the closet for quite some time now, part of me didn't want Cal to come back. Shit! He had seemed so awkward after that... what had happened, he seemed embarrassed even though he enacted the activity.I sighed, leaning my head on the wall.I then heard the main door softly open and close, soft footsteps bearing the door to the closet. The the door then opened, revealing Cal, his eyes refusing to meet mine."I am sorry I had to leave you here little human, it was quite unexpected, and I want you to be as careful as ever... the castle isn't safe right now." He said sullenly, still not making eye contact."Oh... alright, C-Cal I don't want you to feel... strange about what happened earlier, I had though you wanted to, I mean..." I trailed off.Cal seemed even more uncomfortable now, I could see his door nervously tapping on the ground. "I just... I didn't mean to force myself on you, I let my impulses control me, and I apologize for that.""Cal, I didn't tell you I didn't want you to, did I?" I surprised myself with that, I didn't expect myself to be so foreword with this male I had just met.A line appeared in between his brows. "You... you didn't?"I felt myself smile. "No, not at all."I saw a faint smirk spear on his face, as he walked closer to me, almost making contact but not quite. "So you would be okay if I... did it again?" Cal asked, his voice dropping lower. My breathing was becoming rapid, I nodded quickly. I felt his hands find their way onto my waist, pulling me closer to him.Cal then moved me backwards until I was against the wall, his face filled with pleasure. I felt my heart was about to fall out of my chest, I couldn't look away from Cal's face, I was transfixed.I wanted this.
