Grayson had never noticed Dawn before, he knew of her but never bought into his attention, she blended in very well.
If boring was someone that had to be her, black hair, eyes and scrawny. Now that she was going to be their maid he noticed her for the first time at school.
Now that he looked at her, not only was she plain but Dawn was a weirdo, something about her made everyone feel creepy.
She seemed to be devoid of any emotions, or anything for that matter. She was dull and lacked some color.
If she had no earphones on, she was working but that intrigue was gone in a second, he could not careless about her.
Nothing about her drew anything, she just existed the least to say. He turned his attention back to his phone. Something that actually mattered.
When the bird had hit the window and she ran fast outside, it was a bit warming as he had never seen her show any emotion for anything, but he took it out of his system.
What did it matter as to what she did, when they had gotten an assignment, he knew that this was a perfect opportunity to put her to use.
Why had he not thought about it a while back?
They would make her do all the work and they could be out and about, she would not refuse and when they handed her the assignment, there was no resistance.
She just took it and did not ask any questions, this was not the time to care, she liked to be on her own, so it would not be a problem for her.
They threw it at her table and made their way outside, they took out some cigarettes and began smoking,
It was not allowed at school but they did not care, they had been caught before, and they would get suspended which was great for them.
"Did you do the biology assignment?" they turned and it was Taylor, she was very pretty but did not know when to shut her mouth, she was incessantly annoying at that.
Any excuse to talk to him, she took and her friends followed her pursuit.
"You know that we did not do it." He replied.
"It's due the day after tomorrow and I could help you if you want."
"How can you help me when you yourself don't get good grades."
"But I do make you pass!"
"You mean barely pass." Grayson replied.
Taylor often passed and hovered in the sixties, he knew her old trick in the book that she would tell him she could help him but he got mid forties and it was not worth it anymore.
"I don't need your help."
"Why did you even pick that freak to be part of your group for the assignment."
"Because she does not bitch and moan like you." This time it was Keagan.
"She wasn't talking to you." This time it was Gina, Taylor's best friend.
"Well I am."
Gina could not get over Keagan, they had dated and were on and off as Keagan went out with him all the time to get new girls.
Gina would forgive him and Keagan clearly had no intention of changing, which is what Gina failed to comprehend.
Or it was the fact that she loved him that she always did that, up until one day she gave him an ultimatum that he pick the girl he had found at the party or leave with her.
Keagan had picked the girl and Gina left heartbroken, afterwards she had been closed off to him and made sure that she was never alone with him.
She now was always mean and for some-reason that seemed to fuel Keagan more, wanting to get under her skin.
At times he would kiss other girls as he was staring at her and would not care at all, and Gina would be hurt.
"That's none of your business, we chose her because we wanted someone who has more to offer than their body." Grayson replied.
Taylor's face was red and she walked up to him, slapped him, "You're the only guy I have slept with."
Grayson had expected it,
"Am I supposed to care?"
Taylor stormed off with her friends,
"Finally, no noise-pollution." Said Keagan.
"I saw you look at Gina, don't miss her yet?"
Grayson knew that some part of Keagan still cared for Gina, he knew him all to well.
"No, way, she wants to tie me down."
"But you don't miss her?"
"I do, but when I'm with her, that does not stop me from just eating chocolate cake, there are other flavors to choose from."
Grayson laughed, he had know Keagan for a very long time and that was one of his biggest issues that they both shared.
They both never wanted to be tied down to any girl, no girl was worth it.
No girl had much to offer, and he liked it that way.
"You're a man of your word."
"We can't change because girls want us to."
"Bro's before hoes all the time." Grayson held out his hand and Keagan took it and did their firm handshake.
"So that weirdo is going to make us pass."
"She better, not like she has the balls to refuse."
"You know how to pick them."
"Actually her mother is struggling and she is our maid. That is why I thought of her, I don't know how it has never crossed my mind to use her for grades."
"Oh fuck, are you not afraid what she will do when you're not there?"
"Not really, she is so timid and wont dare to do any foul play. You say anything and she apologies."
"She is too homely." Keagan took another hit.
"Enough about her."
The bell rang, "Shit, this school stuff is annoying."
"We have to go."
