She started to clean his room and when she was done. Dawn went to her room and worked on the assignment. The sooner she finished, the better, as that would allow her to do some other things.
Her stomach grumbled and went to the kitchen and made some food herself. She went to the living room and switched on the television.
She opened Netflix and picked YOU. It was a t.v show that she had wanted to watch for the longest time now.
Dawn was woken up by a startling noise, she checked the time and it was two in the morning, wow she had fallen asleep.
She turned to Grayson stumbling in, he could barely walk, and as he was about to fall, she ran up to him and balanced him.
He was heavy, but she used all her strength. Grayson's hand went around her shoulder as he leaned into her. She could feel his breath on her neck.
Dawn felt all the wrong kinds of emotions, his scent, his hand on her shoulder, him leaning into her. He was very heavy as it was, but now her mind was getting clogged up.
Walking with him up the stairs proved to be a very huge task, and she struggled. Finally, she had managed to get him onto his bed.
She got up and threw a blanket on top of him. Dawn looked down at him, he was perfect, and when he turned; she went out, switched off the light, and closed his door.
Dawn went back downstairs and switched off everything, and when that was done, she went to her room.
She had no trouble falling asleep and realized how tired she was. The following morning, she woke up and after showering.
Dawn headed downstairs and decided to make a hangover broth so that Grayson could have some. She found a recipe and all the ingredients were there.
They were very wealthy but that did surprise her a bit. She began making it, and when she was done, Dawn tasted it, and was great.
She dished some for herself and went to sit out by the terrace. It was a beautiful day and she appreciated today, no cleaning and she had made sure to do all her homework so that she could laze around the whole day today.
"What is that you made?"
Dawn jumped and turned to Grayson, she noticed that his hair was wet and only wore shorts, which made some color bloom onto her cheeks,
"It's hangover soup."
"Do you drink?" Grayson asked, shocked.
"No, I don't."
"So why make it?"
He seemed to be annoyed at her, had she done something wrong? Did he hate broth she wondered?
"Last night you came back drunk, so I thought this would help."
"So you're the type to put others before you."
Dawn looked down and Grayson disappeared, he came back with a bowl and some water and sat by one of the chairs.
The minute he had done that, she was very tense.
"You don't have to be so tense."
How had he read her thoughts? Was she so obvious?
"Stop overthinking this. I need a breath of fresh air."
She just nodded.
He carried on with his broth. "Are you always this quiet?"
"Well yes, actually no, I'm not."
"So, who do you speak to?"
"My mom."
"Besides your mom."
"Your mother."
Grayson scoffed, "Besides my mom."
"Then you."
Grayson let out a laugh, he turned to her and could tell that she was serious. "You must be fucking joking. We barely speak. You're truly a loner."
"I don't know how to make...β¦."
She stopped herself, what was the use if all he would do was laugh at her regardless of what she said,
"What were you going to say?"
She was not going to embarrass herself more than what she was doing at this moment."Nothing."
"What do you like to do?"
"I like reading, knitting, and playing chess."
"And you?" she added hastily.
Her heart raced, this was the first time that she had tried to have a conversation with someone her age.
Let alone, the most popular and most handsome boy from their school. If someone told her that she would be asking such a question to him, she would have not believed it.
"I like everything that I'm not supposed to, it gives me a rush."
Dawn lit up. He had actually answered. Her heart beat faster, he was actually talking to her.
"Why do you look like that?"
"Thank you." She said out loud.
Grayson was confused. "Thank you for what?"
"Well, for talking to me."
He rolled his eyes. "You are really weird."
His phone rang, and he got up, "Well, it was great talking to you." He said sarcastically, but she did not care as she watched him walk away.
There were butterflies in her stomach, and her eyes widened, as this was a first for her.
